  • This video is about creating - cheaply and easily, a customized face shield to wear out in the world! Make it in ten minutes or so. Leave it plain or glam it up! Be aware that supplies for building your own face shield are dwindling. That is one of the reasons that I figured out how to make my own with the materials I had on hand. No laser cutter or special tools needed!
Protect your children and keep them busy too! They can either make their own shields or decorate them! A Spiderman, Spongebob or Blossom face shield just might encourage them to wear one!

I forgot to mention that if you only want to create a forehead band, measure from temple to temple, across your forehead and add 1/4" - 1/2" on each end to your measurement. String, yarn or paper can be used to measure.

My mom and I talked about making a face shield from transparency film just a day before you posted this. I suggested making one from the plexi glass I have laying around, but my mom thought the film would work, too. Now I can show her that she was right all along. 💗

Miniscule aerosolized particles will fall thru your forehead gap. Fill it in with foam like dental masks have, or cover it with baseball cap, bandana/scarf/turban. I ordered report covers from Amazon almost a month ago, so until they arrive, I might try 2ltr cola cut up with a head scarf like the ME ladies wear. Stay safe & thanks!

Yes, I'm good. I've been donating a lot of my time lately. I'm trying to sleep less and work more! I have three videos in the works on jewelry making. Hope to finish them in a week or so! Thanks so much. Missed you too! Ha!

Most excellent! Who says staying sterile has to be drab. Next, tie-dyed bunny suits!

What an excellent idea! I think you’re the first person to do this! People should be making these for emergency workers along with the sewn masks. Btw I’m subscribed to you for metalsmithing/jewelry and this is a great surprise! Stay safe! 🤘🥽
I wonder if you can sew part of those plastic sheets to the top of a mask...like a surgery mask.. 😷

Thanks EM! There are other videos on making a shield - 2 to 3 so far but, as far as I know, none that are jazzed up! Thanks for subscribing. Hoping to have some jewelry-making vids out there soon! Be well!
