I want to learn how to play like you were playing at the end of the video when you said monster truck, and then started going back and forth between the major and minor.. that fast strumming with all those little embellishments that you were doing.. can you make a video teaching how to play like that?
That was good because when I was playing and missed a cord I was encountering that and I thought that sounds good so kept going with it but with you explaining it makes much more sense thanks Del you’re a scholar and a gentleman
Whenever I hear a major pentatonic scale I always hear the Allman's "Mountain Jam" and Donovan's "There is a Mountain" (from where the Allman's got their inspiration)
Hey Dell! Love your videos and I've been learning a lot! Had a question... Are there CBG's with narrower fretboards than others or are they all meant to be a standard width and thickness? Tx!
Yes wah wah! There goes the yardwork, now i just want to learn that! Is that a regularity scaled fretboard? I've got what i guess is a dulcimer styled fretboard. So, no yardwork likely tomorrow, either!
I hear this and it awakens memories of simple times,... music that had a bounce, which took your feet and memories to happy places. Thanks Dale for your positivity and for sharing your love of the Cigar Box Guitar. It's make us Gitty! ;-)
Thanks so much Dale one day I will build me a three string and learn your playing.
Thank you Sir. Appreciate the simple and easy to understand music theory.
The MASTER feeds the grasshopper yet again! Thanks Brother!

Great video, as usual, & great cbg. The wood you used for the neck is just beautiful, what wood did you use?
the neck is hemlock (from an old white picket fence) and the fretboard is oak… dark stained 😎
Sweet potata

you can build them anyway you like… 👍🏽
I could hear Cotton Eyed Joe and many other hillbilly melodies that I grew up on.

it’s a smaller scale… i think it’s a 19 inch … ?? it has all normal equal temperament notes but only 15 frets !
