  • Part 2 of my digging in the Houston and surrounding areas for new wave, synth-pop, Italo-disco, Electro, 80’s Old School, Miami Bass, Acid House, & more. This store south of Pasadena in Dickinson is “Vinyl Heaven” which has thousands of records that’s well worth the trip. More digging is yet to come with Part 3 later. Again, thanks to everyone for their dedication to my channel. It’s been wonderful.

The other new wave vinyl channels haven’t posted in awhile. I do miss them but I can always count on you to get my New Wave fix. Thank you.

Great picks as always. The The are so underrated, Soul Mining is one of the best new wave LPs there is

Hi Jack! Looking forward to getting lucky with my next pickups (hopefully The The will appear in the record bin). Thank you so much; means a lot for your dedication & amazing comments. Inspires me to keep this musical vibe alive. Soul Mining will be on my radar in my digging sessions. Take care, my friend.

Also The Ups and Downs album Kiss Me came from is great beginning to end!
Sweet Bird Of Truth from The The always gave me the creeps even though it's a great track!

Ha! I remember back in the day seeing “Infected” by The The in the 12” singles section of my local record store. That single remained in the store for months and no one ever bought it. I - to this day - haven’t made the leap to buy it. So, how do you like it?

Hello my friend! I know what you mean when a record sits dormant in the record store bins. Wondering why it hasn’t been picked up. “This is the Day” is on my want list & best release by The The in my opinion. “Uncertain Smile” would be #2 on my list, then “Infected”. This is the 1st record from this group in my collection, so it was worthy to be added. I’m not crazy about the track; I wouldn’t pay $20 for it. Guess sometimes you take a risk & some songs grow on you after a few listens. Thanks for your comment.

You should really go to Josey Records in Dallas instead. It’s easily the best record store in Texas & one of the best in the country period. It’s huge! I can guarantee that you will thank me later if you go. You will never go to a better record store in Texas or the entire south.

Hello, my friend. How ironic… I just purchased (3) records from Joseysrecords on Discogs. They have about 10,000 items listed - good stuff !! It may be the same store in Dallas ?? If I’m ever in the Dallas area, this will be on TOP of my list. Thanks for the recommendation & appreciate you visiting my channel. Stay tuned for my next video coming soon.
