My daughter has recently bought a MUX and she loves it. I still have my 1999 Toyota Corolla, still going strong with 319,000+ k's for I service it every 5,000 k's.
With twin lockers, some maxxis RAZRs and a pinch of skill the MU-X is a freaking beast
Totally need to see Steve's GQ, he is a pillar for Patriot and deserves to show it off. Plus all of us GQ fans would froth over it yiiewww

3:06 the exact reasons why we picked one up. Only need one car but recently bought a caravan to go round Aus. Perfect for city driving for the wife but can two 3tn without any dramas.
I own a 2020 MUX LS-T with the Tour Mate pack. I have fitted Ultravision 180 Nitro Maxx and now looking at a UHF. Loving this car.

My wife and I are saving for the new DMax X-terrain, it's taking a little longer than we originally planned but that's life. Isuzu's reliability is why we are going with Isuzu, 👍

Wow what a giveaway that is!!!! That's a kind of giveaway I've never even seen before!!! Pretty cool little build. Jeeps are big over here right now but thats a pretty impressive little unit! We have a 10ft mini jet boat we tote around and go some pretty wicked places! Would tow pretty nice behind a unit like that! Clean build ! Nice video!! Keep up the good work!

Had my MUX for 18 months now - tossed half an ARB catalogue at it and gotta say it does everything I need it to do, near 3t van (fully loaded 50 odd kg under GVM and 100kg under ATM) - excellent on fuel and done over 10% of my total km around central QLD. - Looking at those PCOR wheels next time...
Samelynn, i will be buying a caravan, 2.4 tare 3,2 atm will be keeping weight under 3 tonne, probably around 2.8 2.9 tonne, will the mux do the job, only 2 of us in the car, cheers
What fuel economy you are getting after mods?
Doesn’t really prove how good the car is when you “ throw half the catalogue” from arb at it. That could be said about nearly any 4X4

I wouldnt have anything else in my drive way. Had my Mu-x for almost 4 years.
MU-X is an absolute dog, only thing I would’ve wanted is a factory diff lock and a manual option. Apart from that, the car is a beast. I would’ve gotten a 70-series but honestly for the price, it wasn’t worth it. Maybe in the future, but for now MU-X for the win 💪🏻

Isuzu has certainly come along way since I looked at 4 yrs ago, then add the Patriot magic and its smashed out of the park. That's my Savannah Highway beast of burden If I get that lucky!
I've got a 2014 model and not one issue it hauls arse and can take a bashing .
Their engine's have always been best in the market for their size

It's just awesome how passionate you all are about what you do, and how your all an extended family not just co-workers.
I love the DMax, but over $60k for an extra-cab is too much coin imo... Especially when the flagship dual cab is currently a hair under $60k.
cars are so overpriced in Aus, especially the utes.

Got to say my 2017 Dmax has been great until the inner guards have cracked twice in 10 months. $10k fix and Isuzu Ute Australia are not honouring their warranty for us. Invested a lot into including a trig point canopy. Thought it would last us 15 years but at this stage it’s only lasted 4 years 😞. 76 series is definitely on the cards now. If only Isuzu looked after their customers and didn’t mislead them into thinking they could build them up as a capable tourer.

Love that dual battery system. In my country, the top Onyx model won't take 17' rims, due to brake calipers. And factory options don't include a raised air intake.
My next door neighbour has the same one but there’s is raptor Matt black with green pin strips on a 2” lift and 33’s

Hey guys, i absolutely enjoy watching all your videos, thinking of getting a mux, we have ordered a caravan, it is a 20 footer, it has a tare of 2.4 and a atm of 3.2, we will be keeping weight around the 2.8 2.9 weight mark, never over the 3tonne, 2 people in the car, myself and my wife, we will only be staying at caravan parks, will the mux serve us well and will it be good enough to tow our van, many thanks and please keep these great videos coming, cheers

Thanks for the rundown of the mods. I installed an Ironman Deluxe bar on my D-Max but had problems with the fog lights and indicators. Did you have any problems? The wiring loom for the fog lights has a 5amp fuse and the halogen lights draw 9.6amps. The indicators had a rapid flash due to the LEDS not having a sufficient resistance to flash at correct rate. Let me know if you had these problems and your solutions. Thanks!

I'm looking to get an mux for float hauling, with max 2 horses on the float. But nowhere are there videos that explain and trial different 4x4s, utes, suvs on float hauling.
All for Adventure been using them for years

Hard to beat the MUX for value and reliability. Doesn't take much (long range tank, ECU remap, suspension and tyres) to make them a very capable tourer without breaking the bank.

How do you fit that size tyre as a spare, with a tow bar? I have the same car, and my tyre shop couldn't fit a 265/70/17,there is not enough space???

As interesting as this is and despite the fact that I'm a fan of the twins FJ. I was so excited when you were at moab and said you were now a fan of the Jeep and you needed to build one. Instead you built a POS Dodge. The Rubicon 392 Hemi would be a good start,wink wink. .

Like this, but your point about always going with factory stuff is a little out there - how many law suits/recalls do you hear about involving factory parts that have proven faulty, and even dangerous, in vehicles? The MU-X may be headed for a potential law suit involving cracking to the front of the vehicle that is become more and more of an issue.
I managed to add wireless headphones to the MUX, but it means there is no tunes for the driver.... but sanity prevails with no movie sounds :)

Yes they still have it, they had it at fink. The 200 with RMD on the plate
