I finally found a country song that I can play every day.
I left out west to Colorado this year for a trip to get away from the east coast. I could not have possibly discovered this song at a better time. This song and that train trip was a much needed refresher for my life disposition. lol

I met this guy in the Dallas Bull in Tampa Florida and I've become a fan of his and I said it was an honor to meet him. And God bless him and his family and that he reminded me of Randy Travis one of my favorite singers and he was honored we took a picture together and the rest is history

Finally, a country-western music song for the introvert. The scenery reminds me of why I like West Texas - which is where I go to disappear from time to time. I like the traditional arrangement as well.
Do you know where part of West Texas this was filmed at? When I used to tour with country bands, I would return back home to Texas and remember seeing such mountains in the background.

Unfortunately, it is currently peaked at 47 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. We need to push this as much as possible, get the word out, tell friends, call/email/tweet radio stations, etc. It's a great song and deserves to, at the least, enter the top 30. Most country radio stations only place songs in the top 30 on their rotation.
it doesn't matter how much we request it, it's too "country" for "country". to be viable for mainstream airplay, it needs NO steel, fiddle, needs the music to be much louder so as can barely hear the singer, lots of loud guitar rock, need to talk only about partying, girls that look amazing just waking up and with tshirts and blue jean shorts, and especially needs to show the newer style "sissy" western boots, oh, sorry, that's actually here. anyway...
Yes, I saw that it finally made some gains on the airplay chart. But, I am still worried that it will -- as Harold noted -- be too country for "country" radio. That's a shame. If the likes of Sam Hunt and metrosexual Keith Urban are the future of country music, then country music is dead as a mainstream format/genre. Luckily, the indie country scene is booming, thanks to Cody Jinks, Sturgill Simpson, Margo Price, Whitey Morgan, Turnpike Troubadours, and many more.
Was played a few weeks on Country Top 40 before it fell off the chart - I agree should have been one of the top songs of the year.
