I'm late to the game but Yoo Yeon-seok made this character his own! Every turn of his body, every twitch of his facial muscles, every gaze of his eyes and touch of his hands completely communicated his story! I was completely fascinated and hooked! He is the complete antihero!
The way he says "my lady" melts my heart every single time.

Yoo Yeon Seok truly was the character he played of Goo Dong Mae.I couldn't see the real man for the character. What an outstanding job of his performance. Excellent!!!!
mr sunshine easily became one of my fav kdramas, and gu dong mae is officially my fav character in the kdrama universe
Yoo yeonseok is a versatile actor. His character as goo dongmae steals everyones hearts. How could he deliver any emotions through his eyes. 😍
Wow how can Yoo Yeon Seok be so versatile and catch you off guard with the difference characters he portray. Would never have put his Dr Kang Dong Joo and his normal daily persona as Goo Don Mae. He’s truly captivating as this character. And I read he was just having drinks with the director and listening to music and got casted. Lucky the director saw this character in him.
The selection of actors/actress was an amazing choice, I cant' imagine this drama without Yoo YOn Seon or Kim Tae Ra or lee buyng...the right man in right way....
goo dong mae is still be my favorite character from yoo yeonseok! He’s just fearless, loyal, sometimes humourous, kind, handsome and somehow having romantic side for the love of his life.
