❤🎉 Thanks to channels like your's I can say that I'm happy with my purchases over the last few years. I watched videos before buying and therefore I do like all the Rouge Dior lipsticks and the two Hourglass palettes and the multiple VISEART eyeshadow palettes that I bought. I also saved a lot of money by saying no to stuff that didn't win me over. Then again I don't have a UA-cam channel -- so I say "thank you" for all your hours and dollars spent testing out makeup so I don't have to ..😊🥰💄❤️

Isn’t it a wonderful feeling to make someone happy with a makeup choice we don’t get along with? I bought an eyeshadow that was too warm and gifted it to a friend who loves it. It makes me happy on multiple levels.
Yes, I love to gift things to people in my life who will love and use it. I don't want it to sit here in my collection and die.
I love the Hermes highlighter! Looks beautiful under powder blush or as a highlighter. The refined texture makes it worth it.

I’m glad I didn’t buy the Danessa Myricks palette, but I regret picking up Makeup By Mario palette and the Natasha Denona Roxa palette. I love purple eyeshadow, but the palette isn’t actually all that purple.
Maybe it's the purple packaging that makes me think it's purple. It does have a decidedly pink lean to it. I'm sorry the MbM palette didn't work for you. Thanks for making the time to watch today.
I love these ‘Glad I didn’t buy it’ videos. It’s so easy to get swept up in new releases in the moment. When you return to your senses there is usually regret. I did buy that holiday Lancome palette you got in the Lancome box. I just bought the palette only on ebay and I am using it non stop! Definitely no regret about it. Thanks for the recommendation.
I'm glad you're liking the Lancome palette, I think it's a great palette with such usable shades. I like doing these videos every now and again to remind myself that hype passes and I don't "need" everything. Even with a dedicated beauty budget. I can't tell you how many times I have stood in store starting at and swatching the Anastasia spice palette! So pretty and I sooo don't need it! I love the concept of this video -- thanks! Also, totally random, but I was getting ready while I watched, and I pulled out my Koh Gen Doh Aqua Foundation, and wow! Light, buildable, realistic looking coverage, really pretty. It made me wonder if Koh Gen Doh would be a fun addition to the brands you might want to try out? Hope you're feeling good and have a great weekend ahead!
I'm feeling great Allison. Thanks for asking. I need to try Koh Gen Doh. I've heard nothing but good about the brand. Sadly there isn't a retailed in my area that sells it, so it's kind of "out of sight, out of mind." That ABH spice palette looked so good, but . . . I have those colors a million times over. I don't "need" them. Thanks for making the time to watch today.

I totally feel you when it comes to the MUFE face palettes. I have regretted some things I have skipped on but those palettes would not fit in my routine, and would get little use. I LOVE my Roxa palette, and I honestly felt that I would get it and not use it as much as I do. I get alot of use out if it. 😂 And as far as the Patrick blushes they were almost all in my basket, and for the first time ever, I’m glad I didn’t pick them all up because the lighter shades we already have in his line, and as much as that red shade is so stunning. I think I have another red blush from Merit that suits me better. I’m actually shocked that I didn’t pick up all the Patrick blushes lol.
I have the red blush from Merit, and I need to re-try it. I'm worried it's too much. Maybe I need to tone everything down, and just lean into the red blush. I'm glad I didn't get into the MUFE palettes. I could easily see myself getting the foundation/bronzer/concealer one and then wanting a blush one too. If they were the only thing I used, it would make sense, but with the huge collection I have, I just don't have a place for them. If you try the PT blushes, start out with one and see what you think. I like them, but I don't need more than the 2 I already have.
@ I have pretty much all of the Patrick blushes, they ate my most used but I just don’t think I want the new ones because the two shades that are a little more neutral are similar to his not too much shade and others, and the red shade is gorgeous, but I think the Merit suits me better :) I do love his blush duos though, and as much FOMO as I have had for the make up forever, I know I would get so little use out of it, and it would be a waste

I haven’t completely talked myself out of the Roxa palette but so far I’ve held strong. I’ve still bought a few things here and there but overall I feel like they’ve been mindful and not just hype.

Thank you for sharing, sounds like you made some great decisions this year! I initially got both the Mario palette and the ABH Sugar palette. I have no idea why everyone was signing the praises of the Mario palette. The shimmers are ok (though you can get something infinitely more gorgeous from K- and C- beauty brands). But the mattes... the matte formula is atrocious. It's so powdery, and despite appearing pigmented, it blends away into nothing on me (and I'm a very fair, neutral to cool skin tone person). Or not quite nothing - it looks like I have mud smeared on my face. Bizarrely, every color combination ended up in that outcome for me. That gorgeous blue looks the same as one of the greys on me. I returned it. The ABH palette is gorgeous and completely worth it, but I ended up returning it too because most of the mattes contained pretty chunky glitters and I worried about them getting into my eyes. So instead, I invested into creating a custom cool/neutral collection from Viseart during their big sale. I picked up several Etendus, some quads and the two petite cool mattes. After removing a few warm shades, I now have a perfect collection. To me, the Sireneuse palette should have gotten all of the hype of the Mario - that sea green/blue color alone is absolutely stunning. Viseart formula is impeccable, especially on over-40 eyes. And speaking of purples - I got the Violette and Violette Vespertine, and together they create a truly complete, genuinely purple collection of wearable shades - unlike Roxa, which IMHO isn't a purple palette at all (I think it contains 3 or 4 actual purples) - it's actually a neutral / warm rose pink palette. Another brand I tried this year and loved pretty much everything is Watier which is a Canadian brand but they're available online in the US, too. The eyeshadows are gorgeous and sooooo soft, the eye pencils are fantastic, and I loved the lipsticks I got, too. This year, I'm looking forward to finally trying Valentino, as well as Rabanne (they just came out with a new shade in their Handbag palettes called Don't Be Shy that I've got my eye on). I also just learned about the brand Sarah Creal, and they create makeup specifically for over 40 people, including lipstick - not sure if you've heard about them, but I figured you might be interested!

Yesterday I ordered the Violette and the Sultry muse palettes during the valentines day sale. I don't know what possessed me, but I'm excited to try it for spring. I'm obsessed with the Sirenuse palette. It's such a stunning color story.
So many people had the same experience with the MbM Moonlight palette that you did. I'm sorry, I hate having to return something because it's poor quality. : (
I just had a moment or this today …. I was looking at the new Tarte lights camera lashes volumizing mascara and almost put it in my card today because I need to reorder my brow products so iwas gonna throw it in but I looked at a couple reviews first and realized it’s a wetter formula then I know that I’ll prefer so I took it out of my cart
@@megdvs21 I'm glad you discovered that before purchasing. I tend to like slightly drier formulas. I need to be better about only getting what I go in the store for. It's so easy to drop a few extra things in the cart. 💸

My blush container runneth over...lol. I bought the new Patrick Ta blush in She Goes to the Gym and like it...but it is the only one I own. I've noticed ELF quality going down lately. The new YSL blushes are calling to me so may try one. I didn't buy the Hourglass releases this year...beautiful colors but they looked sparkly on my skin after switching in store. I bought one of their palettes a couple years ago and never use it. Did you buy the Patrick Ta duo shadows? I've heard very mixed reviews of these..
Yes, I have 2 of the PT shadow duos. I like both of them. I think that the quality is fine, but the price is very high. I picked them up during a sephora sale, so I got them at 20% off. That made them more palatable. I like his blushes, but I need to use the 2 I already have. She Goes to the Gym looked like the one I would be most likely to pick up, but I'm fine without it. It's a great duo, but I already have 2. I still love the hourglass palettes. I'm using my Dragon palette all the time. Thanks so much for watching today.
I have the Makeup by Mario you didn't buy and like it. I am tempted by the Natasha Denona sculpt even though I have those colours in Makeup by Mario and Patrick Ta just for travel even though I don't travel much but I am not prepared to pay full price for it. I am glad I didn't buy the ND Roxa palette or the Yucca palette. Both had a few nice colours but the colour stories were wrong for me.
I'm so glad your liking the MbM palette. That's terrific. I skip on certain palettes when the colors are out of my comfort zone. (purple, blue, bright jewel tones) I need more desaturated tones. Thanks for making the time to watch today. I appreciate it.
Be really glad you skipped on the YSL. I purchased one and it was very disappointing. There is absolutely no longevity (at least that's my experience). Glad I only bought 1

I am glad I skipped on all the Odens Eye palettess. I skipped the new Gourmande Girls palettes even though it has amazing purples. I skipped on the PM 2924 releases. I didn't but anything from ELF in 2024. I didn't buy anything from Patrick either. Have a great weekend ❌️⭕️

Ha ha, I know you disagree with me on this but I'm glad I only bought one of those Lisa Eldridge pinpoint concealers. I had 3 in my cart but only bought 1 and I'm glad and will not repurchase. They don't perform on me like LE claims and the price point is ridiculous because they literally cost more than gold per oz. Also, I had an Hourglass holiday palette in my cart that I went back and forth about but the one I wanted sold out quickly and that was probably a good thing because I didn't really need it and I almost always use my cream blushes, brontour, and highlights from Westman Atelier in the winter. I'm sure I had many a lipstick in carts that I didn't need. I managed to keep my fall and winter non-drugstore lipstick purchases down to 2 from Lisa Eldridge, 2 MACs, a Chantecaille, a Gucci, and a VioletteFR. I adore Spring releases but I'm going to try to be careful.
spring releases are hard for me to resist. I'm going to do my best. I'm sorry that the LE pinpoint concealer doesn't work for you. It's been a gamechanger for me. I'm glad to have 2 shades.
I've been slowing down on purchasing non-drugstore lippies. I did recently pick up 2 of the new MAC nudes, but I'm really enjoying them. I picked up the Hourglass Dragon palette at the holidays. It was the first time in 2 years that I picked one up, and I've been enjoying it. It's great for an easy, all over look when I use the shades on the face and eyes.
