It's weird, though, I can't bring myself to hate Caine for doing this. I get where he's coming from, he doesn't want to risk treating a human character like an NPC and inadvertently hurting them by accident. That being said, it just goes to show how callous Caine is to not at least hear out Pomni and explain why Gummigoo is there, to say nothing of the emotional damage doing this in front of Pomni will do to her. It also feels kind of sickening that Caine basically treats Gummigoo in the way Gummigoo was thinking during his lowest moment, that he's nothing more than an obstacle invented for cheap entertainment that can be easily disposed of. Again, I totally get why people hate Caine in this moment, it's completely justified, I just don't hate him for it, even though I love Gummigoo. Maybe it's because I knew something like this would happen...

I personaly think Caine isn't inherently a bad... uh... program. I think he does his best entertaining and behaving with the humans but he understands little about human psyche so it wouldn't come to his mind that someone's feelings could be hurt by something so tiny to him.
I think it could be to the point where he doesn't understand the feeling and the need of a funeral and that, if he were to be mortally wounded, if someone were to be worried about him, he wouldn't understand it at the moment.
For now I see Caine as a good-willed psychopath : he can't understand what other feels, to the point where he can hurt them without even knowing, but he still wants to help them the best he *legally* can.
