Of course at the time, I like many other people enjoyed this Royal Wedding, what a shame it wasn't a happy ending, particularly for Diana. As Diana said "there were 3 people in this marriage". They should have got divorced much earlier than 1992
They actually didn't divorce until 1996. Charles and Diana separated in December of 1992 tho.

You must be very young, foreign, or very slow to say such a silly thing. The British Royal Family and the House of Mountbatten-Windsor existed long before Diana Spencer and has already outlasted her by a quarter of a century.

I dont wanne blame Charles for this mismatch. Can you imagine beeing 30 years old ... and you have to find a woman, who is from royal blood AND a virgin. Hard to find in 1980.
The just did not match at all - both are weak characters who needed a strong partner - which Charles now found in Camilla.

@@wandaborowy9400 It wasn't just her popularity. I watched House of Windsor Documentary series. Her mental illness played a major role in the breakdown, plus the fact that they barely new each other (Saw each other a total of 13 times before he proposed), and they were both incredibly different. There was so much more than Charles and Diana's affairs. I feel sorry for Charles as well, and I am glad that things have changed.
I actually don't feel sad for a 30 year old man child. He's not the only person in the world forced to marry someone he's not in love with, plenty of us had bad break ups, couldn't get over our exes, dealt with bad matches, but you DO NOT under any circumstances cheat and if that is the norm in their society, then it is my understanding that you do not let another woman hold a higher priority in your life that is not your wife or your mother.
@@lauraschoenborn3544 actually her mental break down was a huge contribution charles made to her marriage. She actually went on record to say he would call her fat and chubby publicly, and privately, added with the isolated nature of her marriage, anyone would go mad. Then on top of it the palace used to leak news about Diana's issues and break downs hoping to curb her popularity, but she eventually made lemons in to lemonade. It actually speaks volumes about how toxic her husband was when you notice her really doing greater and better things and doing better in health and life too when they separated unofficially. You really start seeing her blossom after 87' .
@@karensmyth1215 I actually have read a ton or different biographies on Charles, Diana, William, Harry, and the Queen. And they all pretty much say the same thing. Both were at fault for the marital breakdown. Nobody wants to blame Diana. The most Noteable was actually Lady C’s biography “The Real Diana”. A lot of people don’t like it because they will not like to read something that shows Diana in a bad light, but it really doesn’t she shows the good parts of her as well as the not so wonderful parts. Lady C also met with Diana on several occasions. Also, Ingrid Seward who actually met with Diana before she died. Diana flat out told Ingrid Seward “It wasn’t really Camilla that ruined their marriage, but the people around the two of them.” Ingrid Seward wrote several biographies on the RF, knows the Queen personally, and is part of the Royal Inner Circles. So I trust her portrayal. But this is all I will say about the topic. I put all the facts I‘ve learned out there, and you can do with this information as you will. I once believed Charles was only at fault for the breakdown but after I ‘ve read more into it, from third party sources I’ve changed my opinion.
