Rico risking it all at work to give us these review videos 🤣 Dope content as always 🔥🔥
Hell yea lol the refinery i work in would have him black balled so fast if he whipped a camera out
You need to watch out bro. There’s always a hater on a job site. I’ve been there to many times. I’ve been welding for 29 yrs now. There’s always a suck ass at a job site to meaning they see you doing something at work that you shouldn’t be doing and they will go and tell on you. Watch out when using that camera. ✌🏼
Bro I been welding for a minute and just went to school to get my paperwork right and I'm gonna let you know you're a Beast keep doing what you're doing I spent 10 years in a super max welding saved my life and I love seeing you young bucks killing it like you are get it done young blood with love from NC if you ever need anything holla at me
Where's the HP Piping gang at?? Every welder there wanted to run their own rig...Rico one of the 4-5 guys that actually put in the work and made it happen. This is the kind of welder that pipefitters and superintendents appreciate. Ya'll watch and listen to this dude and you'll go far. 👍👍👍
I’m a stick and mig welder I’m looking to become an underwater welder. Thank you for taking brief moments out of work. I appreciate it.
I just bought this welder based on your review. Thanks so much for making it.
Finally a welding video that actually shows a diy person how to weld and knows what to look for as far as machine performance and playing around with the rod to keep a tight arc or long arc to keep the rod lit, especially for light industrial use like stuff you will see on the ranch or Mobile welding jobs but damn weld fam great video on this review for this specific machine I was really surprised as to how cold the yeswelder was running for an advertisement of 200 amp I’m always looking for that machine to weld 6010 and 7018 without struggling to keep it lit like how the millers and Lincoln’s do 👍🏽 but again great video Rico on this machine you answered a lot of questions I had about the stick feature for this machine, if that machine were able to throw down a solid 6010 bead I would have bought this machine but you saved me 135 dollars lol, it frustrating to see other welding videos do reviews on these little machines but the operator themselves have little to no experience on stick welding, watching them struggle with the striking and arc and then keeping that arc tight to get a nice weld is hard for them not tryin to be mean I’m just saying it’s nice to see an experienced welder give a deadass honest opinion but everyone is different but you doing good weld fam 👍🏽 following the movement 🔥🔥 stay lit weld fam god bless be safe
Im digging your videos! keep up the great work. you're keeping me entertained and educated at the same time
Thanks for showing us this equipment in a real work environment where you normally do big boy work.
Really appreciate this review .I’m a fan man! Was thinking about this welder. Thanks. Don’t lose your job man!!
I always tap my rod on concrete before I go in for the second burn on a rod ...it eliminates all the tapping on the iron trying to start the arc..great review bro
I'm not surprised your employer allows you to make videos while you're working. You're a true artist, sir. Very impressive. 10/10.
What an in depth review series! Need more cut throat honestly in reviews these days...even more awesome that work let you do these reviews.
thanks tommy ! got keep it real!
Hell yeah thank you man very very helpfully the struggle is real so doing this video is amazing to the dudes just coming out the oven man great to know you have faith in the new blood coming to the game
Hey bro just wanna say what’s up really love you content been welding for a long time in the shop it has been a dream of mine to break out as a field welder for a long time but the machines are expensive for some one on low income keep posting awesome content
I bought the amico 160. Mostly run 1/8 6011 but it will run 5/32 6011 and 7018 with no problem. I do a lot of welding with it and very happy for the price
You are a great welder my friend, that’s all it matters, nothings better than a Lincoln
7018 weld looks good. Great demonstration. I will use 220. Thanks
Man that little machine pumps it out. Looks pretty good for a little portable welder.
yeah man like i ben saying nice garage machine
Just started already know it’s going to be a good video🔥
🔥🔥🔥
Learning a lot from you brother! Thanks!
Great Video, I bought a different brand that was supposed to be a 315 amp stick on 240 vac but when I turned it all the way up, it displays 315 But it welds 1/8" 7018 nice at 315 amp so I put a Fluke #36 dc Clampmeter on it and all I got was 127 amps wide open!!, it welded 5/32" 6011 good, but that was wide open also, SO I guess these Chinese arc welder ratings are B/S. because 127 amps is nowhere near 315 Amps. I paid $119.00. But it's ok for the price, anyway GREAT VIDEO THANKS William.😃😃😃
Dekopro 110/220v mma is an amazing cheap machine. I use one on our farm all the time for quick repairs. Will handle 6010/6011 easily.
Good video, we understand the priority is your job, no problem there.
Of course my Miller Dynasty 200 ( 2004 version ) runs 6010 PERFECTLY on 110 volts 25 amp circuit. The 7018 welding with the Lincoln SA SOUNDED MUCH DIFFERENT AND LESS HARSH. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CANDID OPINIONS. SUBSCRIBED....
You welds are so clean! Thanks for the videos!!
Love from me Htown all the love and progress
the one I have runs 6011 really good, I agree it does run a little cold ,, about a 110 for 3/32 7018.. I've ran 5/32 7018 at about 170-180.. never tried tig with it..
I don't give comments to channels outside of the normal realm often. But I give (as you may see) channels and specific videos my comment when they deserve it.
I love videos like this, this is a type of topic that is not covered at all on UA-cam. Yes welding machines are given a review by people but not reviewed in the field and showing the hiccups and problems. I encourage you to keep making these videos because I find them extremely informational and really great for those that would be looking for a welding machine that is cheap and a bang for the buck for jobs and other job types.
You showed how it ran on sick and ran on TIG. So this would be a great machine for TIG and not a good machine for stick. (In the field)
I personally have a Titanium 225 Stick machine. It has ran nice for me so far, but I want to see it used in the field at lower welding currents (90 - 100 amps) and higher end current (130 - 190 amps 5/32 or 3/16 electrodes).
That's all for now and keep up the great work! :)
You should more videos of how to learn to do some good welds it would help out a lots cause I can find any videos doing that
There was an Amazon Chinese welder and the brand was just "s7" and that thing really did have 250 amps, hot start, anti stick, arc force, antishock, and other options and 6010 was flawless, best welder ive ever welded with and was only 69$
Best price please
I might get this, gonna just use 7018 great video bro
Can’t wait to see it bro
i hope you like it brother
Awesome video brotha as always
I appreciate it💯
Thanks for the good review, was considering this machine, but now I’m having second thoughts about it. Also looking at the DEKO pro and the captain arc 200, if you have any opinions on those? Thanks
You know I gotta give it a thumbs up before I watch the vid!
thanks homie!
Loved this helped me out a lot bro also do you think it’d be better for me to learn in a shop as a helper or learn in a school
Great vid! Them cheaper stick welders happen to manipulate on Amps so often. I'm running my esab rogue and it feels spot on on amp settings. Mainly burning OK rod 48 on construction work. Probably there's an difference on pre-heated rod vs out of the box ones. As heated ones light up and run much better. Keep them videos comin, rly enjoying the artwork You're greating.
Bought the cheap Lincoln chinese 180am stick machine for 355 bucks ( aus) goes all right. Still practicing though.
Love the ok rods also
Just breaking out , got my first job over here in Canada. If I don’t win this I’m going to order one to teach my old man how to do some basic tiging. Nice video respect.
thanks for the feedback homie yeah its a great tig machine
Damm bro can u tell me how to get a job at Canada I live in Houston Texas
@@uri_6894 pretty difficult right now because of covid, but im sure you can find a job anywhere up north, we are dying for good welders.
I’m going to need to get one!
Good honest review
Good video bro ima check out the tig welder one
Need to check the amps output of that machine definitely!
Hey got a new sub from me. Man can you please answer have you tested any of these budget stick welders that can actually run a 6010 properly? I’ve seen the new stick titanium from harbor freight do it but that’s about it. Any reccomendations?
I use an everlast tig/stick welder and it runs awesom and it is a 220 volt single/three phase
Amico 160D, I have that one and it’ll run 5/32 8010 pipeliners. Review that one Rico
Aye Rico, when I use stick on my machine which is the same one on 110 it trips the breaker, would it do that with tig?
Some inverters have a hard time with 6010. I’d recommend 6011.
Can confirm.
Just so more people know before getting into small inverter welders, most of them dont run 6010.
You can run 6011 all day but most of them that dont have a 6010 mode are not going to run 6010 well or at all.
Get a transformer welder or a stick rig with a 6010 mode if you need 6010, otherwise expect to do everything 60xx with 6011
Have you tried the esab miniarc rouge 180i? It has a setting for 6010 I would love to hear your opinion on it
keep up what you do i like what you do no cap that welder coming to me
thanks G!
@@TheWeldLab check yo dms @joethakid_creations i made a banner for you
I have one and find that with it set to 200a, it is really only around 151a or so. It really doesn't like 6010, but will do 7018 all day long
What amp were you set at for the 7018 I just got the same welder to learn how to start stick welds I'll get a better machine after I graduate
I just bought a 145ds arc. welding machine with lift tig,I would like2 know.if this machine will do the job in the field
I've been fighting the same issue with mine. 6011 runs just fine @80A on 220V, but I can barely keep the 6010 lit for more than a second or two. I've had better luck running 6010 at 100A + on 220V.
I think all welders should own at least one of those multi welder machines that have multiple uses cause they are light as fuck and man in a pinch they do the job and get u out a jam. Also, for house use, it's perfect. But for My work my Lincoln mp210 is a beast and I love that fucking machine runs and does what ever I need it to. Salutes my boy stay on the grind saludos from the Big Bay Area 510
Hi, I'm having issues with this machine to weld with E6013 3/32 rods. It constantly stinking to the metal and its a pain in the neck to get it to wok.. i was trying 90-140Amp , current is 110 DC. If I'm right, the current in my home I'm talking about.. what can you tell me to get this to work.? I take the rods back to home Depot early..
ole dude behind you throwin shade 2:16 lol
yeah lol im out here trying to provide content for the homies and he hatin lol
They jealous
Let em stay mad. You got all of us showin love.
Home boy in the background is the bag licker on the job.
Let’s get it Rico!
Let’s go!!!
The amico 200 pro has good reviews on 1/8 6010 rods on amazon. I have the same yes welder I got it for small field jobs
ill go check it out! thanks
@@TheWeldLab the esab mini rogue is much better and will burn 6010' s but it's $ 600 . That'll be my next buy
Some machines can't run 6010, if you want to use a cellulose rod you have to use 6011, that's how my miller multimatic is.
Put a clamp on amp meter to see what the real output is. As you know every welder is different
what tig torch did you use with this?
Love the vids bro
thanks homie!
Dope vids man
Thanks bro !
Just added a higher grade ground clamp and use a 2000 watt power inverter it works perfect just gotta be electronics savvy to make it work
a machine named GLADIATOR is much stronger than any of the 2 i bought here for play. 110 [in costa rica] and crushed 1/4 in. and never went over 170 [ says capable of 200. lol but they all do] Other issue is ... not available here.. canada yes, mexico yes.. usa... nope. pura vida, and great review, i am about to give yeswelder a big NO since i had the same issues with 110 and not looking forward to 220. i did buy a 70$ ziss on ebay that runs better on 110 but still way below gladiator. great video and views, thanx buddy!
Wish you woulda arced up on that galv just to let us know! def buying one of these to get into tig tho
Any good for 5mm mild steel 240v and 13A-15A fuse 🤔
hey dude thanks for uoloading videos for us.
Can you tell me what leather shoes you're wearing? I sometimes see them in youtube videos showing american welders. thx
5:35 - the left bead (sa200) is much deeper in the material, the chinesium bead is a bit colder
PS: get an clamp meter and check your amps at full chinesium load. I bet its around 160A. This is what you can get out of the 220V system
I've ran 6010 roots with the titanium 220 from Harbor Freight. its good for tig as well more expensive than that machine because its also mig/ flux, but its less than big name brands.
kool ill do reseach thanks!
@@TheWeldLab as far as I know no actual pipe welder on YT has done a review on it. Let me know when you're back in town ill let you borrow it if you like to review it.
Might be the cheapest welder on Amazon....but it ain't no deal. I can clip my nails with a hammer too....but....I straight up prefer to use nail clippers. 😁 For real folks. Don't cut corners. If you are serious. Save your money and do it right. No trash talking here. I like the video....just dislike the welding machine. Good to see ya again and thank you for taking some time to share. 😁 Happy welding!
Thanks bro
Most of the small inverter base machines struggle with 6010. The best bet is using a 6011 or 6013 but you’re still going to have to manipulate the puddle. The Everlast PowerARC 200STi could work for 6010/7018 and Tig.
thanks for the info homie!
@@TheWeldLab No problem, I’ve been in this game for 30 yrs and I appreciate how you’re helping the welding community. Keep up the good work.
The klutch 140i mp from nothern tool is a great machine and will run 6010 no problem
how much?
How can you be code compliant using non controlled welding kit you have already told us that power settings done seem correct
Can you do a head to head of this welder and a Lincoln tombstone welder from market place
Could you do a video using 7018 on a 3g position all the way. I am having a hard with the root.
I run off 110v with stick. Same machine... I wonder why yours doesn't and my does?
where an I get he 110 to 220 or 240 converter?
Good video bro! And good review!! What about where can someone get some pipe to be able to practice at home maybe if financially struggling to not be able to buy coupons already cut
Some scrap yards sell pipe that they get from some jobsite typically for an x amount of money per pound. Places that sell metal could also have full sticks of pipe or pieces that they consider scrap, they could also sell you those pieces per pound. Finally I would check on Facebook market, 5miles, and other sites that sell used stuff. Good luck.
Will smaller inverter welders i heard they like 6011 better than 6010
As I see the welds lil welder did better that the 200 respect for both
Good video bro god bless you 🙏🏻
🙏🏼 thanks homie!
40 amp double pole breaker 220 heavy duty 10 ga. Extension cord not to exceed 50 ft to keep close to power source best thing to do take 50 ft bust it in 1/2:
.
The amco stick welder dose great with a 6010
Dope video. Currently in weld school. Trying to work on my stick welding skills . Any tips ?
I'm in school too. For me it's been trial and error with the work and rod angle, and amps and what the results come out like. If you can, put in as many hours in the booth that your instructor will allow.
I am ordering the simple 205D just for testing the arc welding capability on my channel. If the welder dont meet my needs I will just give it away. Well let's check the video out.
THAT 70/18 CAP JUST TOOK CARE OF THAT 60/10 WELD🤘🤘🤘
yessir its really good on that 7018
Rico is yes welder good to start out with
Remember my boi it’s just a hobby machine drab came out with a machine rouge it’s the model that made for 5 p 650 buck 185 amp stuck and tig
yeah it a lil garage machine goood machine to use to not wake up the neighbor hood with that sa200 haha
💯
Yo compré la yeswlder 135 no se como aprender a usarla
I've seen reports that the Amico Power ARC160 will run 6010 better than most cheap inverters, and it's only $159 on Amazon.
wow going check it out now
Quick question I have one more semester of weld school and wondering if I should join a union or free lance it. And should I also get as many certifications as I can?
Just show up to job sites and start welding stuff... Then demand money
Kinda not related but on tig when a tungsten splatters crazy is it cause tungsten contamination, not enough argon flow or poor gas lens
Try a weld pro welder next
You do your own work or are you with a union?
On 220v mine runs about 10 amps colder than my Miller. On 110v it runs about 60 amps colder.
Nice welds
