So many westerners talk about moving to Europe, Latin America and Southeast Asia. But I'm enjoying the videos about Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire despite not having African heritage. How might a person choose to be in Accra versus Abidjan? They have so many similarities.
I don't have African heritage (obviously) and I love it here. The culture is very welcoming.
I haven't been to Abidjan, so I can't contribute to your comparison.
Word is that Tema, near Accra might actually be a better place to live because it still has everything and there's less traffic - and you're still not far from Accra for those Accra-specific activities. Just something to check out if you're truly interested in moving here.
@@ThisGalTravels Do you have videos that discuss being non-African expats in Ghana? Most videos are related to American Afro -Americans moving to Ghana.
@dovygoodguy1296 I have this one that shows a typical day going to town in Tamale. It gives a good look at the mix of local and western culture that you end up with. Of course, Tamale is very different from Accra, but...you'll see. ua-cam.com/video/27MGxttOMSc/v-deo.html

Because we have about three Ghanaian tribe's which still occupied that country . nzemas are largest, Bono and then Ashantis
@@georgeblayackah9825 Occupy which country?
Beautiful and educational. Thanks 🙏🏾
Glad you liked it. Thank you

hello my dear friend you are welcome to originally AFRICA GHANA
Thank you. I've definitely been enjoying my time here. 😎
Thanks I love your videos
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching.
Hi, again, Trina. How many North Americans would you say actually come all the way to Ghana as SNOWBIRDS in the winter for a couple or few months as compared to moving there permanently? Somehow I think there should be an appeal no less than the Caribbean or Mexico and Panama, but possibly withou the Cons of those places.
I think the snowbirds that come to Ghana are mostly from Europe. The distance doesn't really make it a snowbird destination for US/Canada. But I'm really not sure.
DO YOU HAVE A VIDEO ABOUT HOW DO YOU FIND RENT HOMES IN GHANA LIKE ACCRA TEMA ETC I LOOKED ON JIJI GHANA BUT IT SEEMS TO BE UN PROFESSIONAL AGENTS
Sorry, I don't. I tried to contact an agent in Accra and had a rather negative experience. Up here in Tamale, I had a friend helping me. Even though I've ended up living here for a couple of years due to certain circumstances, I'm more about travel than moving here. though I'm happy to share what I know.
Maybe you can join a FB group or find a subreddit to ask for recommendations for a reliable agent.
@@ThisGalTravels thanks
Abidjan has 3 major ethnic groups from Ghana being partof that country .we have nzemas , Bono Ashantis and bawuolea which brings that similarities
Oh, that's interesting. Cool 😎
One correction, every mosque allow non Muslims in. How do you think people revert to Islam. Still nice video
Thank you, but that's not my experience. I have been told quite a few times, in multiple countries, that I couldn't enter a mosque because I'm not Muslim.
Glad you enjoyed the video, and I do appreciate your input.
@@ThisGalTravels Yes if you're not dress for it, Thank you too
@know3976 Sorry, but my wardrobe was fine, and I was covered. Over the years, both my husband and myself were told the same, that it was because we were not Muslim. Maybe the ideal and the practice just differ.
Is it true that Ghana, including Accra, is frequently hit with electricity shortages and has unstable WiFi coverage?
I wouldn't say frequent. But it's not uncommon. Usually they don't last too long, sometimes 10 minutes, sometimes a few hours, but it really depends on where you are.
As far as internet, yeah, it's fairly slow. Some places have fiber connection and that's what saves me.
@@ThisGalTravelsSo it pays to be located in Accra in the neighborhood with the better fiber connections and electrical grid.
@dovygoodguy1296 actually, Tamale isn't too bad for the electrical grid. Sometimes there are outages but they can be very short, usually. And we're starting to get fiber. I honestly don't know which city truly has it best.
@@ThisGalTravels And on Accra??
@@dovygoodguy1296 I haven't spent a long enough contiguous time to have a good read on the situation. When I was there, power outages did happen. And internet is very dependent on where you're staying.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
☺️😎🥰
Sorry sis,Accra Mall is a disgrace. They should not call it Accra Mall that is not mall .
What makes you say that?
I went there last week to take a look at the mall. There is nothing there Too small !
@@Godhiger I guess it depends on what you're looking for.
The mall I grew up in was, at the time, the largest mall in the world. Bigger isn't always better. I appreciate the size of Accra mall. But I understand. If it doesn't have the kind of stuff you're looking for, then it's just not for you. My city had 3 malls, and there was one that I definitely didn't care for because there was nothing there for me.
❤❤
