That 'ball' in the beginning is called zowe, and it really shocked me when she said 20 cedis because the cost of that is between 5-10 cedis. 10 cedis is even too much.

Ghana is an exceedingly friendly place especially to Americans, it's just that some Ghanaians might have superstitions or negative associations with being filmed or photographed since it is not big part of their culture. Some, maybe a few, might even believe their soul could be stolen from a photo.

Geez, they ripped him off so many times. The only legit food was the fried plantain and the waakye. The 1 sausage with two gizzard was definitely not 10 cedis. It would be 5 cedis at the very most. And the water is not 3 cedis but 0.5pesewas, which is half of 1 cedi. This is up to location 5 (14:12). I will always recommend going with a trusted local to let you have the best experience without being taken advantage of sadly.
