    I 100% agree with your observations on brick and mortar stores. If people just buy off the internet there's a great chance that the bow they buy will need setting up and a newbie doesn't know how.
    That will lead to lots of frustrations and lead people to just give up.
    It's very important to have places to go , not only to buy but to be fitted and have adjustments and setups done.
    Love your videos.
    Keep em coming

    Been looking into a new bow after not having g one for 15 years, I was leaning towards a bowtech but I’m looking hard at this Hoyt now

      I’d shoot both, and really focus on how comfortable the bow is.

      Shoot Elite too, I would take Elite over a Bowtech 10000%. I have seen SO many issues with Bowtech limbs, cams, and cable systems for years. To the point I will not even consider shooting one....ever. Shoot every brand you can, let the bow pick you. And do some research on the Bowtech issue, don’t just take my word...but even did you doubt my word....do some research....Hoyt, Elite, Prime, even PSE make awesome bows. Mathews make a good bow too, but their fanboys are so over the top assholes, I can’t even consider one of their bows either.

    Just a thing on the tear-drop yoke holder Steven, its there in part because of the yoke/harness at the bottom. So now you can even twist the top yokes to alter the timing. (Pretty sure that's correct at least)

    Hmm, kinda low on fps I think, it must be that you're wearing a PSE hat and not the Hoyt provided one. Change hats and check for arrow fps again. Actually I tried this 70lb draw bow in a bow shop, absolutely loved the draw and speed was nice and it really felt good in my hands. Ordered 80lb version and I'm loving it.

    Love how you un box for us you haven't taken it out already on the videos I've seen. Feel bad you guys pay so much there not that archery is cheap here but hopefully your wages reflect the cost of living.

    Discrepancy in chrono speeds due to spongy back wall?

    Had a RX3 a few months back but felt like it was lacking in speed. Should’ve got the smaller cam at 27.5” dL

    • @5jjt
      @5jjt 4 роки тому

      Sounds about right, especially if the bow is accurate. Bows tend to need to be somewhat inaccurate and loud to help the shooter perceive speed.
      I'd bet that it's fast enough.

    I heard the $550 and I went straight to your web store and it's $1500 there so you obviously misspoke in the video. Pity I'm interested in a cheapish compound to play around but not to replace my ILF recurve.

    • @twaho
      @twaho 4 роки тому +1

      That's how it started with me, few grand later.... I started with a diamond edge 320 just to suss it out, I got the axius a few months ago and I'm putting arrows next to each other at 70 meters, I haven't shot further because my range is 70m before the land drops away. I haven't gone back to my recurve in a while...

    Steve you. Been puping iron ? Lol I thought hunting bows like Hoyts an mathews were tuffer to draw an target bows I noticed have smaller cams so I thought target bows supposed to be easier to draw let me know if I'm wrong thank you!

    • @ObelixCMM
      @ObelixCMM 4 роки тому

      Longer bows are easier to draw, but smaller cams are harder. So easiest bow to draw would be long ATA with big cams, like PSE Beast or Bowtech BT Mag X

      @@ObelixCMM so the rx4 alpha or Hoyt nitrux an the vxr28 you saying these bows be harder to draw if they'll were all at 60 pounds would the hoyt invicta be easier to draw or these bows I mentioned

      EVERY BOW, no matter what brand or model, should be checked over 100% before setting it up and shooting them, common sense. They build them in a production line type system....they are not going to take an hour per bow to time and tune them.....

    I have a hoyt cap from one of my bows, the thing is bomb-proof. Several years and its still looking good. Regarding hoyts (which are about 1/3 cheaper in the US), you dont shoot them because they shoot XXX fps or this or that. You shoot them because when you tried out all the bows in the shop and it felt the best to draw and shoot. They are very comfortable and well made.

    Dryfiring a hoyt is the same thing... As with any other brand.... I was eyewitness of dryfiring and repairing of one.
    The Video is a marketing tool

    • @rickmoss7040
      @rickmoss7040 3 роки тому

      Funny, I know an old dude who has dry fired his Hoyt DOZENS of times....he is old and sometimes he will forget to put an arrow on...seriously....the only thing he has broken was his string, twice. Nothing else wrong with the bow. Hoyt hands down makes the most durable bow on the market....by A LOT. I am shooting two other brands, so I am not brand loyal, or a fanboy...I don’t even own a Hoyt right now...but I have shot Hoyt bows, from 2009-2016....and NOBODY is even close to as tough as a Hoyt...so say what you will, they dry fire a new design, at 80# and 30” draw length, and if it does not survive 1500 dry fires, that design is scrapped and they start over....I have friends who work at Hoyt, and have seen what these guys do to their bows....NOBODY else is even within 10% as durable as a Hoyt...so you are ass backwards saying it is marketing....
