Want mk8 clubsport and probably will get one . They can be around 10seconds faster at national - the potential is big I’m running under 1:20 with half of the power of this one . Still amazing car though 🤩🤩🤩
Car did roughly a 1:17/18 later in the day but the general pace was still down on what it normally does. I wasn’t joking when I said the tyres were done and the car literally has ZERO rear pad left. It’s still a pain to do the rear pads as 90% of places don’t have the VW login needed, other than main steaerships 😄
Which tune? I own a mk8 gti, went with unitronic stage 2 with all the bolt ons. She is a liitle scary now! Planning on stage 3 with the larger turbo eventually.
@@mason.asn24 yes, still at stage 2 but added the unitronic uniflex tune with the ethanol fuel sensor. Can save on gas $$ and gives a little more punch to stage 2 with FBO. Planning to go stage 3 when I do my engine rebuild. Currently at 96k miles.
The engine is chilling at this power level. Torque delivery is very smooth, it’s run on 300v oil which is like liquid gold. Never run too hot and always properly warmed up and cooled down.
@eymotorsport9692 It definitely not chilling, max safe power for EA888 Gen3/4 is 480 hp with really big turbo (about 1.8 bar boost). Anything more - really spicy. So 520hp is maximum for stock internals, I think it will last about 30-50k km with that amount of track days. If it`s 520hp with boost under 1.8 and ethanol, it will last I would say 100k km
love a mk8 GTI clubsport! also would love a better video quality. It's really not crisp, 1080p enhanced bitrate is really not enough, at least 1440p. Keep it up Luke!

Is the grip far better despite the increased power with the more linear delivery? I feel like the power hooks better than even a stage 1 stock turbo!
