Northwood, may I make a suggestion for your videos? Your presenter obviously knows the product VERY well. The detailed video shots of every component and item he's describing are useful (although, to be honest, they're very repetitive from one model to another), but what is REALLY missing in these videos, is the "big picture" - the scanning of the entire living room inside when entering the RV, for us to get a "feel" of the space. Instead, he goes straight into the close-up/detailed/component views and we're left wondering what the whole space looks like. I think that the first thing that should be shown upon entering the RV is to do a slow pan shot of the entire living room, perhaps from both ends, to give us a good feel for it, BEFORE getting into the nitty gritty details of the clock, oven, drawers, etc, etc.
Looks high quality, but you should start making more modern interiors. More younger people are coming into the market. The brown interior gives a 90's vibe. Using white instead would really open it up, at least give the option.
Agreed! I've been trying to persuade the DW to like the Arctic Fox for it's obvious great construction, but the drab/old fashioned interiors are a MAJOR issue. She's NOT interested because of it. Northwood really needs to modernize the colors/trim/decor. Sheesh....it's really, REALLY, bad!!!
I would like to see a video that explains and shows where the second grey water tank is located and where the drain valve for it is on an Arctic Fox Silver Fox Edition 27.5 2013 Fifth Wheel. Panel shows its full, Manuals says its there but no indication as to how/where to find it.
I really like you product but those new backspashes this year clash with the counters I would have to remove them immediately and replace with something else. I would like to see you guys go to multiplex wiring, truma hot water or truma combi depending on the square footage they can heat, a battery area that can be enclosed to protect lithium batteries, a whole house inverter, AC with soft start and real solar wiring ready or just make a deal with zamp which to offer some rigs ready to boondock, decked out with a real solar (meaning as much as the roof of the particular rig can accommodate) + lithium system. and a generator that does not have to be installed by the dealer, they are standard on motorhomes it is high time they are not an afterthought on fifth wheels Luan needs to be transitioned to something like azdell, and those rubber roofs I can't believe they are still around they are so easily damaged. I want something bigger than a class B but the Bs seem to be the only class that are really getting up to speed with what most people want in technology for boondocking. BTW nice plant tours by Taylor it was a good idea to invite him down.
Tatiacha, you've made some very compelling comments. First, I want to state that I've never owned a 5th wheel. But I'm in the "market" for one. I've been doing my own research and due diligence on just about every brand/manufacturer out there for the last five years. I've gone to several RV Super Shows and I've visited two manufacturing facilities in northern Indiana (Elkhart). I want to say that I've seen just about everything out there regarding 5th wheels. My "own" conclusions has lead me to the Northwoods Brand. By far, this is the highest quality built 5th wheel on the market, in my opinion. Do they have short comings? Yes, based on your very valid comments! With that being said, I can see you've done your own research also or it definitely appears so. I would like your opinion please. Do you have any recommendations on RV brands that have better updated interiors, Truma hot waters, etc. as you've stated above? I am looking for that brand/manufacturer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
What a ridiculous new name for the model line 'Grande Ronde' It sounds like an affliction. Hey honey! The doc just told me I have contracted Grand Ronde. . The new name compliments the horrific new interior and the cumbersome Step Above stairs.
How long does it take for the membrain on top to wear from sun damage and what would be the cost of replacement? Have you ever thought of replaceing the membrain that is more permenent? Reason I ask is because my 40' Alpha Toy Hauler's Membrain 2005. 14 years of sun wear. Love to hear your comments.
Northwood, I'm glad you're updating your 5th wheel trailers, but I can't find anywhere where you explain what changed from "silver fox edition" to "grande ronde". Further, I'm hoping that with this new series, you're going to retire some of your tired, outdated floor plans - eg - 29.5 models. You NEED dual-opposing slides (similar to what ORV Glacier Peak did with their short-lived 30 Series trailers.) Further, the 29-5 and 32-5 NEED pantry space - I mean really?! If you full time, you're going to want the 12 cu ft fridge and with that there is NONE. Really?! Its frustrating because you have SUCH a great product in most ways, but a few things NEED to change to make your products unbeatable in ALL ways.

Barry Timm Excellent points.
Barry, I found this link at the Northwoods homepage. www.asrvm.com/rv/2020-NORTHWOOD-MFG-ARCTIC-FOX-27-5L-AF344 this might be what you're looking for?

The wall paper, countertops, and backsplash scream 70s.
With 90s wood.
And modern flooring....
Accessories in 50 shades of beige.

Chelsey Grammar from Frasier / Cheers did a good job. This must be his new career..

Agree 100% to everything stated here.

"Absolute northwood feature"

What’s your warranty on full time use for a few years? Not permanent but short term.
Is there a reason you don’t use Azdel in your wall construction?
Cost
Barry Timm if they want to brag about the quality luan board is not quality, Azdel is proving to be a much more durable and superior product.
We just learned they are using luan in their sidewalls and not Azdel. Sorry, no sale.
Always had the impression that Arctic Fox is a quality product, but when I see those $2 hinges on the cabinets 🤔 it makes me wonder....
Funny, I was just going to comment on that but you beat me to it. A unit like this really needs to have concealed hinges.
Wow! Great walk around video. To the point, I like it.

1/2 ton towable?
You lost me when I had to pull the ladder out of the doorway
But it's trendy!
I would Loved to have had a 5-wheel like that when I was camping we had 27/5 wilderness by Fleetwood
That one AC is not enough. I know . I traded my Artic Fox for a motor home . It had 3 ACs
Does it come in a bunk house
Too bad you included carpet on the floor. Who wants to vacuum on vacation?
No matter how nice they all look on the outside, we all know how cheaply they are built.
Apparently you have never owned an Artic Fox.
John C no actually I do own one
What! No full sized Oven?
No washer dryer
Pretty nice but she’s a little heavy.
Dry Axle Weight (approx. Lbs.): 8387
Dry Hitch Weight (approx. Lbs.): 2068
Net Carrying Capacity: 2945
Gross Dry Weight - Lbs.: 10455
Gross Vehicle Weight (GVWR) - Lbs.: 13400
Robust build = weight. I'd take the quality/weight any day, over lightweight garbage.
