    I’m so glad you’re making Mac N Cheese. I’d love to have a good-to healthy Mac recipe. I’ve never toasted seasonings, in a sauté pan, that’ll be a fun new addition to my cooking repertoire. (Super cute logo on range hood ☺️) I tried your cauliflower white sauce, it was so cool, but I think I didn’t leave-in enough water -although it was nice, it could have been creamier like yours. Love all the helping hands! I don’t measure either and it’s so fun to watch your instinctual cooking and discovery.

    Hi Rosa, I enjoy watching your videos, just came across your channel this week. I’m from a family of 10, 8 kids ♥️ and both my parents did the cooking and we mostly helped with the baked goods. I love that your kids are cooking and helping and enjoying it. Those will be cherished memories forever. If there is one tip that I can share with you since you are sharing so many; I keep several pairs of scissors in the kitchen, a couple specifically for cutting food, and others for cutting off the tops of bags, then cutting off the bottom of those plastic bags and then usually in half again. I do that to prevent an animal from perhaps accidentally suffocating from trying to lick the inside of the bag, for example. It is also much safer than using a knife which could slip very easily. A friend lost her eye when she was a child using a knife in the kitchen to open a bag. And that large knife you were using to open the bag of squash was overkill😅 Just thought I would share a tip and I hope you will appreciate it in the good spirit it was meant as as your tips. By the way, your kitchen is one of my favorite colors, it looks beautiful 🌟I bought cauliflower today and was looking for your cheese sauce recipe but didn’t see it in the description.

    • @thehaipath
      @thehaipath  7 місяців тому +2

      Hello Giselle! That’s awesome you come from a large family too, is everyone in the family plant based?
      Thank you for the tip on cutting bags extra so animals don’t suffocate we totally understand it’s like cutting the plastic that holds cans!
      When I opened the bag I used what’s on hand to open it, most times I just use what’s there ready on hand.
      I can write up the recipe for cauliflower cheese but basically it’s 1 heard of cauliflower, 2-3 cups cashews, 1-2 bags of butternut squash (optional) then boil it up until tender. Once it’s tender you drain most of the water but leave approximately 2 cups of water, add salt, onion powder, about 1/2 nutritional yeast and then blend. Adjust flavor to your taste buds!

      @@thehaipath Hi Rosa, thank you for sharing your recipe. I don’t have butter but squash so may give it a try with sweet potato. I’m the only one in my family who is plant based, though I was brought up in a home where my father was a meat eater, my mother preferred very a diet close to a Blue Zone diet. She cooked a lot of greens and legumes for she and I, and always let me finish off the leftover veggies because I wouldn’t eat meat unless if it was meatballs or meatloaf because it was soft and chewable with no visible veins, muscle or fat! We ate a typical Mediterranean diet with veal and such being made mainly for my father. I was the only one of the kids who couldn’t chew meat. I love being plant based and cook all my meals at home. One of my recent favorites lately is making a big pot of Lentil Bolognese (very simply), and having that for lunches and dinners for a couple days, with Pasta, by itself, or even as a Pizza topping when it was pizza night.
