    Is ther a video how to connect the hose with and the quickfill foster fitting to the hose end to the 5l bisley bottle? 🤔 I have a Dowty Washer on my quick fill adapter but if I screw it on the hose, it's wobbly on it, do I hade to put a ptfe washer thing between them, this small about 8.4mm diameter washers.? 🤔

    New Website & new music , which incidentally is the same as that used by another YT contributor by the name of Gun Sam Revolver aficionado , who usually shoots lots of revolvers but has done a couple of shows featuring springers / gas ram air rifles .
    It's something most of us know about but many powderburners in America who are turning to air rifles due to the lack of ammo over there at the moment make the mistake of letting go of the barrel as they load a pellet . I have on several occasions on different channels stressed the need to hold the barrel and even given a factual description of what can happen when a springer/ gas ram barrel flys up violently when the barrel is unsecured , He actually listened and now do's it in a safe manner .
    Due to so many of his subscribers asking for it , He also did a video where he demonstrated the effects of "dieseling" his gas ram .30 Hatsan rifle despite My warnings against it , during the video He did repeatedly said he'd been warned against it and he commented that he could feel the difference through his trigger and at the end said he would be unlikely to repeat the experiment , FYI it was really interesting to watch and he achieved an almost 40% power increase which gave it about the same muzzle energy as a .25 acp round .
    Thanks Gary Shoot Straight Stay Safe & Stay Well .

      Morning Richard, thanks for the great reply.
      I just had a look and you are correct, same music :-)
      It's probably because, the music I use is called Rebel and come with the Movavi editing package, so I guess he has the same.
      I will check out the video you spoke about, it sounds interesting, but my next video will have something our American cousins can only dream off.

      @@garychillingworth Spam Fritters , Mmmmn ! , The music is bang on though . I must admit I'm with You , Springers are best ! , That won't stop Me ogling the PCP's and wishing they had a bit of recoil to them, I'd probably sacrifice a good few shots to have a reciprocating breech on a PCP , a bit like on some of the Co2 blow back pistols , with a pneumatic pump on the side for when a bottle or compressor aren't available . Oh - so an FX Indy with a reciprocating bolt , but modified so it doesn't load a pellet meaning we have to cycle it & thus it complies with UK legislation . Oh We can all dream ! or better still "common sense " laws so We can have semi auto air weapons & full bore center fire rifles . Catch You next episode , Stay Safe ! .

    Is there a device you can buy to monitor the moisture content of the compressed air in your tank?

    Hi Gary, great video, thank you for it! Very valuble informations. I just started with PCP this year 2024 and gathering as many information as I can. I wanted to follow your recommendations and tried to find the mentioned website at the very end of your video, but it seems to be void. Was it deleted? Thank you

    Gauges on the rifle more accurate than on the diving bottle 🤔..... you've never had any dealings with the fx impact then ?
    The gauge on my Hw100 reads exactly the same as my diving bottle 😉

  • @allanbrian611
    @allanbrian611 3 роки тому +5

    I am very surprised that you recommend using the pressure gauge on the rifle as it is more accurate than the one on the tank.I believe the opposite to be the case. '. The rifle gauges vary enormously in accuracy between various makes of rifle and are indicative at best..

    • @garychillingworth
      @garychillingworth 3 роки тому +3

      Hello Allan, You are not the first person to say that :-), Over the years I have had issues with surface gauges, but never with a rifle's one. When I researched this piece, all the info that I could find was that the rifles ones were better. But, I am always willing to learn.

    Hi Garry, new to the channel, and liking what i see. I'm a PADI master instructor and been around scuba shops for over 20 years and worked full time in the industry full time for 10 years abroad. It was common practice to ask for a scuba cert card before getting a cylinder filled. Am i right in saying because we use surface cylinders they fill for us air gunners?

    • @garychillingworth
      @garychillingworth 2 роки тому

      Hi Marcus, I have never been asked for a padi card for either surface or scuba tanks.

      @@garychillingworth Hi Gary, thats's Interesting. I've not had a scuba tank filled here for years, so good to know how the industry has changed. I'l put my card in my wallet just in case lol.

      @@garychillingworth Yes, i have my old one and the one i use for my air riffle. Been out the loop over here but it sounds like they dropped that rule as it once was produce a cert card to get a tank filled. Well in my local one at the time and we never touched a tank in Malta without a cert card. Just was interested to know.

      @garychillingworth 2 роки тому

      @@allthingsag938 There is a sticker on the tank which shows when it was last tested. Every 5 years for surface, every two and a half for scuba. But you don't need to show your padi open water etc.
