How to: BMW E30 Rear Subframe Refresh Part 3: Dropping the Subframe!

Chapter 3 is a quick explanation about how to remove the BMW e30's rear subframe. I found it best to remove the four bolts from the differential before lowering the subframe. Be sure to lock the driveshaft and break loose the four nuts on the driveshaft before disconnecting the ebrake. Dropping the rear subframe is rather simple. It is simply heavy and cumbersome, but I show you that it can be done by yourself. Each of the three videos have been done without help, so you can do this! How did you manage to get this clear of the driveshaft? My unbolted subframe won’t move far enough aft since the subframe bolts don’t clear the bushings and the subframe is hung up on the driveshaft.
