I had an El Camino of the same style. I owned a glass shop back then and had a piece of "Greylite-14" beveled 1-1/2 all around and tempered and it looked great.
These S&W kits are nice but the rear end housings they sell for the kit id 6 inches to short they said it was for the street guys so they didnt have to stretch the wheel wells, I found out way to late after buying axles so I got to buy axles twice and had my rear end lengthened 3 inches on each side
I was curious if you are able to keep the frame rails under the bed? I’m thinking about doing this in my Chevy Colorado but wanna be able to still use the bed for drag and drive events

My question to you is do your CE rails meet the same height as your old frame at the bumper? I have noticed with mine if i do that the front cross member of the CE rails won't be vertical. If i make it vertical then the back end of the CE rails are way higher. Does it matter?
I was thinking about their 24" 4 link for my street/strip 416 sb2.2 3 gen camaro with their 9" rear housing. You're not worried about welding slag burning bald spots in your hair? 😹

I like the way you back half that even though it was a full frame didn't know those kits come like that hope that's not an SS car.
