Great episode! Very nice machine but your knowledge is what makes it look so easy. I’m sure there was lots of time that went into learning layout to machine references and spring back for various materials
Love this stuff. Suggestion for another day: Measure the achieved bend angles and prove that the spring-back calculation was correct. (I'm sure it will be).
The machine was a little over 100k out the door. I dont need to do a frame business. I just integrated the rail bending for clients into my existing business model
The software calculates it for me based off a series of test bends that i have done. Client provides the over all dimensions, i design in CAD then transfer to Bendtech to get the bend profile.
What's the radius of your die? Is there a distance constraint with how close bends can be next to each other? I dont have anything crazy in mind. I want to start laying out a full frame design in autocad for a project.
Is there a database you use when doing vehicle specific frame rails, or do you figure it out the hard way? This stuff turns out so slick I'm sttill trying to figure out how I can put some to use. haha
For the rare situation like that where you had the interference, couldn't you just reverse the bend order, etc in bend tech now that you know. Assuming there is enough material before/after each bend.
What do you think I have a 72 dart swinger with horrible frame rails I’m in the rust bucket of Canada I want to back half car anyway so do you think a better idea than looking for back frame rails sort of street strip ?
Beautiful machine
I appreciate everything that you do and if possible I’d like to see more sheet metal fabrication. Regardless, I’ll be watching.
Thanks, its not always sheetmetal work around the shop, I try to show the many facets of work going on in the shop
The channel is doing a perfect balance between bending and fabrication...appreciate what you doing to educate your subscribers
thanks for the feedback and watching
Hello Mike! Anything you share is well worth the watch. 😁👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I appreciate that! Thanks for watching
Once again you make it look easy, your a master.
Thank you but far from a master

When many of us see your fab skills in your videos you inspire us and humble us to do better !
Great Information....and you are very knowledgeable
Thanks for watching
I enjoy every video you make. I am hoping to take one of your classes this summer. I’ll have to get a hold of you soon and get it set up. Thank You
Thanks I appreciate it. Its easier to check my webstore for class sign ups and availability
This video is awesome..thanks for being a good teacher!
Thanks for watching
Mike you have be come a master craftsman! I'm glad to see you making drag car rails.
Thanks for watching but I am far from a master.
Love this stuff.

Fantastic content. Everything you put out is just top notch.
Remember guys. Like, comment, subscribe.
Thank you Much appreciated!
Makes me almost want to build a drag car. I can see an extended flexible cable with a quick coupler for your machine in the future.
Good looking finished bends.
Thanks
Great job Mike
Very cool 🤙 looks good. I'm curious about any chance of getting a pair of rails for my 40 Lasalle 5227c?
Just need the dimensions you want
@cornfieldcustoms ok I'll be pulling the body in a month or so. I'll get in touch with you and figure it out from there. Thanks 👍
I’m curious the cost of the machine. You could almost use it to start a frame business. Have some planned out ready to order.

U the man mike
Far from the man but thanks 🙏🏻
Great video. Didn't even know i am into sheet metal
So is the spring back angle the same for a 68° bend as an 80° bend?
No it is not the same. It is based on a curve
When you get a job for rails,do you do the springback calculations or does the customer have to.
The software calculates it for me based off a series of test bends that i have done. Client provides the over all dimensions, i design in CAD then transfer to Bendtech to get the bend profile.
Love the Channel.

2x4 - hardway -9.32 CLR, easy way 8.32 CLR, 2x3 easy way is 8.32 CLR, hardway 8.82, 100° max bend angle and 8” min between bend tangents
@@cornfieldcustoms perfect, thank you
Thank u
Thanks for watching
Those look great.
Thanks

Nope, no database. I have to scratch draw every rail design
Super kool👍
Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching

Possibly but depending on the rails it may still be in the way
Good video. Can you bend a 1X2.5 inch piece of steel to match the top of a Ford 1932 frame? Thank you.
No i dont bend that size
Toooo Coool
Thank you

Yeh, yeh, yeh, another tube bending video, but what of the "Trailer that broke the world?" Where's the next part in the series?
Working on it, just havent been working on the trailer for a while
👍😎👍
Thanks
❤️👍🤍👍💙👍
