I have a co-worker like this. There's a difference between "it's just one mistake and that's what this kind of training is for" and "huh...if I screw up, someone will come in to fix it for me. So if I do no work and screw up everything, I can get paid to do nothing!".
Thing is though the episode points out that JD screwed up too. That this isn't a kid who doesn't to work or improve. It's someone who needs a bit more training and was scared.
It pissed me off when JD apologized to Carla. JD had to keep cleaning up after that idiot, and Carla kept defending him over and over. Woman needed to shut up.
This show hits differentky now then it did when i was kid. I had interns/assistants like Josh and they make work impossible. You are better off doing things on your own than having "help" like that

every intern is more work than help when they start. you were like that as well when you started. the difference is just what kind of mistake it was and how fast the intern improves.
@@akshaynatu6568 oh boy... your name + your comment just screams "i'm from a culture that treats women like sh*t. and if a woman ever talked back to me I'd slap her!" aside from that: rewatch the first episodes of scrubs again. JD was the one that screwed things up and made the nurses (e.g. carla) do his work. she did for josh what she did for JD.
@@RKBock Your racist bullshit aside, every Scrubs fan I know agrees with me that Carla was extremely fucking annoying and self-righteous for most of the show. And I've read that sentiment expressed many times on Scrubs fan pages too.
@@RKBock Oh and another thing.....I know there's much less blatant, open, in-person racism in this day and age, but internet randoms like you reassure me that it's still very much alive and well, just below the surface. So thank you for that. ☺️👍
med students are students in medical school studying to be doctors. interns are freshly graduated med-schoolers who are the lowest rank in a hospital. After that there's resident and then attending.
Damn, you waited 15 years for an answer. Well, better late than never - Josh wasn't an intern, he was a medical student. And since taking care of medical students was considered a pain in the ass in the show, the interns (like JD) had to do it.

I work with someone in the last category but he didn't so much screw up, more like do nothing and my team will carry me
reminds me of my ex.. does bare minimum and always poorly but thats fine with him because he knew that either I or a friend of his will fix his mess
