Stealing clips from a show and putting them together is content nowadays? The sad part is that you don't even own the Scrubs DVDs or else the clips wouldn't be in such a terrible quality. At least we can see the numbers you added in 1080p
I love the theory that the Janitor is the CEO of the hospital & he just pretends to be a janitor because he's bored.
Or at least a member of the board, which is why he's friends with Cox, Jordan and Kelso.
As an er nurse, u can personally tell you exactly how much that wouldn't work. Hospital ceo's aren't like your typical fortune 500 ceo. These guys actively visit ALL the Hospitals under the company label, take active part un the hiring and training of senior administrators as well as but limited to chief of medicine. He would also be the final say of any medical decision that meets certain criteria.(i.e senior resident and administrator head disagree over procedure) Not to mention that every ceo ever no matter the company meet with, visit, and personally know most if not all members of the medical board.( Kelso would be on there as well as cox, and jd when he was in charge of the losers brigade.
In summary, there would be plenty of people who would not only recognize him, but know him personally so this myth is

David Honez it’s not based on a fallacy, though. JD finally admitted in the finale that he did drop a penny in the door. Janitor said he knew all along because he saw it happen, and tried to give JD a chance to admit it. Of course, Janitor is still crazy because he blew it WAY out of proportion, but he does at least have a real reason for his hatred.

David Honez it was the season 8 finale, considered by most fans to be the true series finale. There was a season 9, but it was more of a failed spinoff than a proper continuation.
He was just supposed to be a bit part, but did such a great job they kept him around. Truly, one of the greatest gifts of the show.
He was originally supposed to be a non-speaking part too, but they changed it when Neil Flynn was cast

It's funny how this show appeared before Grey's Anatomy and House and you can tell they got some inspiration from it here and there... and then Scrubs kinda mocked them for it LOL.
Also, Scrubs was more medically accurate than those shows, when it comes to medical equipment in use.
Thats a myth. But what might be true is that Scrubs is the most accurate medical show in terms of how a hospital works. E.g. the diacritic methods used in "House, M.D." are extremly exaggerated for dramatic effect.

regrding scrubs accuracy it's likely in many ways more accurate than house and grey's anatomy, but you can still see things that makes no sense there. like a scene in which JD performs ultra sound for a patient while doctor cox and turk are also there. fun fact about doctors they are very busy, the likely of having 3 doctors with one of them a surgeon for a simple ultra sound is very unlikely.
that being said, it is my understanding that even in 2019 people still use the same pager xD

Apparently most of the janitor's lines were improvised. For most of the show the writers didn't even write any lines for him and let him come up with stuff himself.
Supposedly one script just said "Whatever Neil says"
Both of these comments are correct.
Wryan Davis he was originally supposed to be imaginary to help JD cope with the stresses of his job. But he quickly became a fan favorite and they kept him. And yes he just says whatever he wants to mess with them.

Well, the real answer is that the name comes from the Aymara language, where it means "white puma" and has no connotations of boobs and poop. In case anyone cares.
The inspiration for the hamburger did come from Hamburg where they were minced and combined with garlic, onions, salt and pepper, then formed into patties (without bread or a bun) to make Hamburg steaks. These early burgers were considered gourmet and were quite pricey, given the quality of Hamburg beef. Bill Lawrence confirmed the Janitor's name is in fact Glenn Matthews.
He means the actor's name is Neil Flynn.
So according to the official sources, for the first season they decided to write the character of the Janitor as basically a figment of JDs imagination, that’s why the only extended interaction he has is with JD. This was done so that in the event the show wasn’t picked up for a second series it would be rounded out.

I've heard that the majority of his lines were improvised, they just wrote the script with the Janitor's parts saying "Janitor: Speaks" instead of actual lines and he would just improvise something that fit with the lines around it.
Fun fact: the only person that the Janitor has contact with in Season 1 is JD because the creators thought the show would be cancelled and they wanted to make the janitor a figment of JD’S imagination
