My dad participate in your seminar in 1979 he stop smoke,and also later years he made an art show at Rockefeller
center in NYC,and was a success.He trusted and he did,Your seminar helps my family and was a reason of a great result like we live to day in Brazil,and he never smoke again,and reprogram his mind was right things.Thanks Mr.T Robbin.We have successful economic and profissional life!

I have to question the ethics of how much he scared him but I find this absolutely phenomenal and hilarious.
He had to do 2 things: create a new neural pathway for this guy and link more pain to smoking than pleasure.

I believe it. I know a friend who did something similar to a relative of his to get him to stop smoking.
Principle of pain and pleasure. We go towards what feels pleasurable and do all it takes to avoid pain, it's a survival mechanism. So when you associate pleasure to the appropriate habits, and pain to the ones you want to stop, you begin rewiring your brain to react in a new way. Now, every habit is a solution to a problem, if you don't find something that will give you the equivalent emotion, with time, your brain will go back to whatever it did first. That's why you need to come up with at least 3 alternatives that can help you achieve the outcome you were looking for while exercising your bad habits, but in a healthier way.
Understand now why he did all that with his clients? It's all based on neuroscience and psychology. It's legit. And for that reason you can believe the story is legit too.
