In my youth a painting of a white mare and black steed running hung in our 80s living room. I have searched for this picture for years but to no avail. Like that dreamy image my childhood is gone forever and so I've always said Goodbye Horses to those things in Life that are fleeting. I always loved this song for the beat but never knew what it meant. I finally looked it up. Its sad. The 5 horses represent the 5 senses we have. Its about a person so sad they have let go of all their senses. Theyre saying gooddbye basically to what they knew of themselves. The man says expressions of it will get better, they reply no i disagree sir, ive seen my hopes n dreams on the ground. 😢 such a sad song but such a beautiful beat... I still love it. The beat is amazing! 💜

I must say I forget how wonderful the original song is, simply haven’t heard it in years. I’ve been fond of Psyche since the start and yet I don’t recall ever hearing their take on Goodbye Horses - it’s imo extraordinary - I’m finding it more soul-stirring than the original, which needless to say is one of the best singles/songs of its time.
The video itself (Immortal mix) is special, and rather poignant 👏👏👏

I really love how you kept it synthy and cheesy like the original but added the ethereal floating synth tracks and the delayed short synths and piano to make it so spacey and so wide open. I could DEFINITELY listen to this while flying my lightspeed intergalactic dreamship to Andromeda! (or while on DMT, whatever...same thing...🙄)
