It's a tradition in Scotland too to clean everything for 'the bells' (midnight) and I grew up watching my mother doing all that you are doing then when I was old enough I would be helping too. The tradition being that you were going into a New Year with everything spick and span was very important.
When I grew up I started doing all this too then I realised that by the time New Year came at midnight I was totally done, wiped out and exhausted............I changed my ways:) xx Jean from Scotland.
Hi here is a german Pancake recipe: one litre Milk, 5 Medium Eggs, a little bit salt, and flour (into Eggs with Mikl and salt) so much flour that you have an creamy dough. Best wishes from Germany!
