Due to Covid-19, I have been crocheting gifts for friends and family. This is 1 of the projects I did. Turned out beautifully. It looked amazing laid over the back of a loveseat. This channel has been a huge help during these tough times. It has helped me grow my crochet skills and made it possible for me crochet for others. Which is what truly makes us happy, when we can give to others.
Wholeheartedly thank you for sharing these instructional videos. Very nicely, clearly presented, fantastic free pattern downloads, excellent work. You deserve all the nice comments 🌷. I made the kids beautiful poncho and shawl, for which pattern I was looking for years. All the best your way, with gratitude from Ireland 🙏🍀
I have to make a confession ! I learnt to crochet by watching tutorials on you tube, and was looking through all the tutorials for beginners when I came across Mikey. What did I do ? I skipped past thinking that a male wouldn't be as good as a female. Yes Yes I know that was wrong to think like that and I'm ashamed I thought like that. So I apologise for that Mikey. Now Mikey is one of my favourite hosts to watch and learn from. Not only are his finished items are stunning, he also teaches at a pace everyone can follow. Not too fast for beginners and not too slow for the others. So Mikey I am sorry and I will never judge a book by its cover again. Thank you for taking the time to teach us all these lovely items. My best project ever is the never ending granny square. as I too have difficulty with slip stitch. I made my mum a huge warm thick blanket to put over her legs when out and about in her wheel chair. She loves it and was amazed that I did it so quickly. Going from knowing nothing about crochet to finishing the blanket took only 2 months. again Thank ou and when people comment aboutcrochet I always tell them to check your tutorials out.. They're awesome. Well I've taken up enough space so thanks and happy crocheting x
hi i'm almost done with my 39 motifs..when will the second half of the tutorial be available? I can't wait to finish..you give the best tutorials and I've done a lot of projects with your help..thanks a bunch :)
Do you have a video that is a shawl like this but all different flower? This ones really pretty too may have to make this one too! Thx for a great tutorial!
Thank you so much! I actually had to cross out the part in the written directions where it says to skip the sc. It is just plain wrong!! Maybe that's the incentive for me to really get proficient reading charts 😀 Hopefully eventually the yarnspirations people will publish the correction - it will help others I'm sure! Thanks again
Hi Mikey, first off, thank you very much for this wonderful video and pattern. It's exactly what I've been looking for. I have my motifs almost ready to join together but I was wondering when will your part two of this tutorial be released? I tried going over the diagram as far as the joining is concerned but I'm a bit off kilter here lol Hopefully your video will clear things up for me. Thank you again!
Hi I can't find the 2nd half on how to join the shawl can I please ask has it been done yet thank you for your help and advice 💗 stay safe Angel Blessings from the uk 🇬🇧
Part 2 coming soon? Please? I have two sets of motifs all ready to go....they're both mother's day projects and have to mail the one out....soo would like to get finished lol
Natalie Stadelman , i am waiting too Natalie. According to the date it was released on the 13/4 and he said 2 weeks. I think we are not going to make for Mother's day. :(
go to the pattern page. there are four videos there. Two left and two right handed. The joining videos are there. Scroll down a bit from the top to get the videos. thecrochetcrowd.com/garden-shawl/
Kiss Sabrina I havent watch the video so I really font know the size of the hook but I think the bigger the hook the bigger the motif and thats good for us big girls... he allways go with H-5.00mm lol
Help! In the motif written directions, Round 2 says to skip 1 sc after the initial ch 5, but I do not see you doing this on the video, and I have ripped this out over and over again. Can you please help? :( Also, is it possible to put the total # of stitches at the end of each round as it is incredibly helpful...many thanks!
I have found to make sure you have the correct amount of dcs or v's is to ch 5 and dc in the next stitch. This is where the diagram is super helpful. You should have 15 dcs plus the ch 3 at the end of round 2.
Dina Neal I'd say add one flower per row to get the shawl wider, if you want you can then also add another row underneath if you need it larger top-bottom.

Beautiful starting today! I'd like to ask if more than 39 motifs can be used because I am plus sized.
Dina Neal I'd say add one flower per row to get the shawl wider, if you want you can then also add another row underneath if you need it larger top-bottom.
👍👍👍👍💜💜💜👏👏👏👏
Beautiful pattern but he is hard to follow for beginners because he moves so fast...😬
thanks for the tutorial, but it would have been far more helpful to show how to change the colours.
Where is part 2
