My mother in law loves flowers and gardening. But as she's aging, she's late 70s now. She can't do it so much anymore. So for this last Christmas, i made and gave her a very large granny square blanket. It had 12 different 3D flowers and i did 3 repeats of each flower and mixed them across the blanket, then had a little vine style join in-between the squares. Both the squares, flowers and vine join was so beautifully designed. It was a pattern i got online. She loved it so much she cried when she recieved it and she uses it every day since she's had it. 3D flowers kind of look really complex, yet they are fairly simple to actually do. The result is ALWAYS stunningly beautiful. The flowers on this shawl look amazing and i can't wait to make it. I think my mother in law has another gift coming!!
I'm embarrassed to say that I've never crocheted a flower and I have been crocheting for 60 years (I'm 72 today, happy birthday me!). I would be very happy to make this beautiful shawl for my daughter-in-law who is such a lovely girl. What a great chance to crochet my first flower.
I’ve never crocheted a thing! But I did buy an unfinished shawl in the thrift store and weave in all the loose ends and now I’m the first person to wear the finished shawl!
I have crocheted many types of flowers. Most of the time i make oversized flowers that can be folded in to butterflies. Just downloaded it. I can't wait to use this pattern.
❤ Hi Chandi, Yes I have crochet flowers before. So much fun! I worked them into a top. I love this shawl and the colors are fabulous. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful tutorials ❤
I have crocheted flowers before. Also leaves, but never flowers and leaves together. This shawl is beautiful and definitely something I want to make this summer. Thank you for sharing 😊
Wow I love flowers but this shawl is something else ... It is truly elegant! I have crocheted daisy & lavender flowers. The Oasis Yarn looks so silky & soft and drapey! ❤ Susannah
The shawl is absolutely stunning!! The yarn chosen for this pattern has the perfect drape and flow to look just like flowers blowing in the wind!! In my 49 years of crocheting and knitting, I have not crocheted a flower. They always looked too hard, but you make it look simple! Thanks to you and your video, I won't ever be intimidated by flowers again! Thank you so very much!!
I started crocheting with flowers. Grandma started me on a simple flower and then I graduated to more complicated patterns. I never could knit as a child. Now I do both equally 😊
I was 10 when l first started, by 15 l used to live in Greece and used to sell, from table runners to blankets with the thinnest thread, l am 52 and still crochet, clothing, bags, amiguramis, shawls just love it, it's my peace time
I've been crocheting for 50 years now. I have crocheted many beautiful flowers. And I will definitely crochet this beautiful shawl. Can't wait to start. ❤
What a wonderful shawl; so intricate yet simple! I've never crocheted a flower before but always wanted to. I'm glad that a lot of these patterns are expanding my crochet knowledge 😊
Already subscribed but ooh la la on this crochet shawl, makes you want to make it even though I have never crochet anything. You always make it look so easy. Lovely!
lovely yarn, yarn colors and pattern, i can smell the fragrance of pink roses just watching this video!! my first crochet learning project many, many decades ago was a pink pineapple doily with flowers on the edges! never thought of a flowery edged shawl, putting this on my wishlist to make with your recommended yarn. you make any complicated pattern look so easy to make!
Beautiful! Love the colors 😍 I have crocheted flowers when I made an afghan for my mom in law for many Christmas ago. This past Christmas, she told me she still has that afghan, and it still is her favorite. I'm so glad to have heard that. Makes me happy that all the time and work is appreciated and being used. 😊
One of my first completed projects was a flower afghan. I was a teenager and was so proud My mother still had that afghan when she passed 50 years later ❤
I have only crochet little flowers not 3D flowers like yours. I am going to tru this pattern and mums 90 29th July and i would love to see her eyes light up thank you for the free pattern. I better start practicing. I am from Australia so I know i wouldn’t be inline for the prize but i am very grateful for your tutorials and free patterns. ❤
Congratulations! Your comment was chosen to win the Boda Hues Oasis Fingering Kit! Please send us an email using our contact form at www.expressionfiberarts.com/contact-us/ and let us know where you would like the yarn shipped. Thanks so much, and have a wonderful day!
I have not crocheted flowers but I can’t wait!!! And this is one of my favorite yarns!!! Everyone asks me about it because it is so beautiful and soft.
I just stared to crochet about 5 months ago just before I turned 65. Several You Tubers, including yourself, have both taught and inspired me on this new and wonderful journey. The only flower I have attempted thus far is from a flapper hat tutorial. As always I will continue to learn and grow. You are amazing and I thank you for all you do to inspire and teach others.
I have not crocheted a flower, yet. I guess that I'm just a little intimidated. That shawl is GORGEOUS!! I absolutely LOVE it!! Thank you for sharing!! Have a great day!!
I have not crocheted flowers in any pattern. My Grandmother had crocheted many doilies with flowers that were beautiful. Your yarns and designs are amazing. 😊
My mother who was trained in Poland and a wiz at sewing, knitting and crocheting could make flowers with just about any fabric. Me, not so much. I do enjoy crocheting and love making the shawl patterns you so generously offer. Thank you!
I’ve never crocheted a flower before. Honestly I’ve avoided patterns with them because like others I found it intimidating, however this video helped get past that. I’m going to be trying some flowers this weekend with some leftover yarn. Thank you for another beautiful pattern and great video.
Oh my the many different colors of the Oasis yarns. ❤ I just went and looked at them all and they’re all beautiful and the matching picks to the colors really helps show off the exceptional colors of the yarn. I have crocheted flowers. I’ve made ones with bulky weight all the way to fingering weight. I have never got to crochet with such a beautiful and fancy yarn. Made from camel and silk. I didn’t know they made yarn from camel. Learn something new everyday. This shawl is gorgeous and the way the colors flow it really helps make the flowers pop without looking heavy. Beautiful work! Thanks for sharing. ❤
I have crocheted many flowers over my 6 years of crocheting. I made one 9 foot x 9 foot blanket of huge crocodile sunflowers in 36" squares, with Bernat blanket yarn. It is a fun blanket to own! So exciting and vibrant! I LOVE this shawl! I will HAVE to make it. And your oasis yarn has been on my wish list for a while. I can't wait to try it! Thank you again, for sharing so much with us!
I have crocheted one flower for a project. A sweet little hat for my daughter when she was a toddler. She was so cute in it. The flower made all the difference. This shawl is absolutely lovely and I would love to make it. Oasis camel silk yarn sounds so luxuriously soft and smooth. It is beautiful!
Yes I have crocheted some simple flowers when I was first learning crochet.. they are still hanging in my craft room.. and I love them !❤thank you for another stunning pattern. Your designers are so talented!
That wrap is absolutely beautiful. My taught me to crochet when I was about nine , but then didn’t pick it back up until I was about 45yrs old. I’ve never crocheted a flower complicated or not. It’s really nice that you’ve given a tutorial for that beautiful wrap. And the colors are lovely.
How very generous of you to teach us this lovely pattern for flowers. I’m going to give it a try with pink/white variegated yarn. The creator of the shawl pattern is so talented.
I haven't knitted or crocheted flowers, only paper flowers. It's my favorite thing to make. This shawl is so sweet! I adore it! Thank you once again for making this world beautiful! Love and hugs!!!
What a gorgeous shawl. I love the beautiful flowers. Yes, I've crocheted many many flowers in my 20+ years of crocheting. I love them, especially sunflowers. Thank you
Oh Chandi, this shawl is gorgeous and you wear it so beautifully. I am saving your tutorial as I need a yarn to match its beauty. Thank you for taking time to teach and instruct us. Enjoy your weekend dear lady.
I started crochet just 2 months ago, and I fell in love with it. The more I learn from UA-cam videos, yours definitely included, the more I realize how much we need this artisanship to thrive and be taught in schools. My first attempt to make a flower was a rose, which was a success.
Hi Chandi ~ This is just a Lovely Lovely Floral Extravaganza ! I have crocheted many flowers to adorn just about every knitted or crocheted piece : mittens, hats, scarves, straw hats, blankets.... The Body Hues are Sublime for this. Congratulations on this winning shawl. Thank you for offering this as a free pattern , too ! All the best, marcia
I've been crocheting different flowers for a couple years. Most recently, I've been working on a flower garland that is draped over the bench at my husbands graveside. I sit and visit and crochet. So peaceful!
Flowers are so beautiful in crochet and in real life! Yes, I have crocheted flowers as crochet has been my hobby since I was a young girl many, many years ago. Crochet was the one activity that I could do for 3 years as my husband battled leukemia through covid. I would make beautiful prayer blankets and shawls to give to others battling cancers as well. I continue to make and give away, knowing my gift will provide a warm loving hug when someone needs one. This shawl is a truly beautiful piece.❤
Yes I crocheted flowers for my daughters wedding coming this August. My grandmother (born 1896) taught me to crochet when I was 5 years old. She was a superb crochet artist. I have many items made by her, many with flowers! She would have loved to make this shawl!
I love this shawl!! It is beautiful!! I have been crocheting for about 2 years, but have never made a flower before. Thank you, Chandi, for this opportunity. ❤
I love this so much!! I have made many crocheted, knitted & beaded flowers over the years. These are some of them. I made many teeny tiny beaded flowers in different colors & made daffodils that looked amazing!! I was recovering from surgery, & I made many tiny beaded flowers using small seed beads, & then I used green seed beads to make vines & leaves to form the necklace. I added flowers all around the leaves & vines. I still have the necklace, even the clasp has flowers on it. I also have the leftover flowers I couldn't fit onto the necklace. Recently, I found them, & I was thinking of making the leftover daffodils into earrings using small jump rings & some wire to attach them to leverback ear wires. I love flowers & I also made a gorgeous long scarf for my Mom with beautiful colorful Manos Del Uruguay yarn, & I knitted many flowers out of the same yarn, adding beads to each flower, then sewing each flower to the scarf. It looked amazing! My Mom loved the scarf, but later moved to Florida. I've also made many crochet flowers, too. Those are probably the easiest to make. This flower wrap is so beautiful!! I may need to make this one. I love ur channel!! Tysm for sharing this beautiful floral crochet wrap with us!! 💕
I have crocheted flowers before. About 7 years ago I crocheted a necklace of a few flowers for my neighbor as a birthday gift. It was one of my favorites. I hope to make more someday. This shawl is lovely! I would attempt I if I could afford this beautiful yarn. But I won't attempt it with a lesser quality of yarn as I know that it would not do this pattern justice. Keep making these beautiful patterns! I hope to make one soon!
I have crocheted flowers in granny square blankets for my nieces as well as blankets for myself. I’ve even crocheted flowers for a flower crown for a sloth amigurumi for my sister. What a gorgeous spring shawl! I’m going to add this shawl to my list of things to make. Love it!
This shawl is absolutely beautiful!! This shawl would have been nice to create for my daughter’s wedding last summer. I did crochet a small purse for her to use at the reception for some small items to carry around. It did have a flower! It also included some appliqués from my wedding dress and the lining for the purse I used the silky part of my dress. I used the pearls as well for some decoration. A keepsake for sure. I can’t wait to try this shawl for myself! Thank you for sharing your beautiful talent!!❤❤
When I first started crocheting, many many years ago now, I went on a spree of crocheting all different types of flowers and then making them into granny squares, I still have the wee blanket I made out of all of my different flowers! ❤
This video is very well produced, and the instructions very clear, congratulations! I am going to try this shawl in bamboo yarn, it is very beautiful. I have crocheted and embroided many flowers and butterflies as I have been teaching myself crochet. I come from a family that were extremely skillful knitters, despite being taught by the best, I still felt very drawn to crochet and am currently crocheting myself a sun hat which I intend to adorn with butterflies and the flowers from this video lesson.
Yes...I have crocheted flowers before! So fun to do! Made them as part of an afghan to give a 3-D look and have added them as a decoration to hats. Lovely pattern, Chandi! Thank you!
This shawl is such a beautiful one. I live in Florida, so the light weight of this shawl would be perfect for even the warmest days. The flowers are a gorgeous accent. It really makes a statement. Love it. Thank you for sharing.
This shawl is very pretty!! I've crocheted a lot of flowers over my last 50 plus years of crocheting. It's been a little while since I've made anything with a flower pattern, but this shawl makes me want to finish my current project and get started on it!! 💜💜
This shawl is stunningly beautiful! I made a queen size blanket of 3D sunflower granny squares for my niece as a wedding gift a few years ago that she loved. It was so much fun and challenged my crochet skills a bit.
This is beautiful, and so distinctive . I have wanted to learn to crochet since I was a child, mainly because I wantd to crochet roses. I finally learned to crochet a couple of years ago. I have collected a ton of patterns of flowers but have yet to actually make one. Yourexplination was wonderful. I may actually find the courage to make a croched flower. Thank you
I have always loved flowers of any kind. For about two years when I was younger, I crocheted a lot of flowers and I don't remember why. The spring shawl is so unique. I'm going to have to stop working in order to crochet all of the wonderful patterns you generously give to us. Thankj you so
The first thing I actually crocheted was a flower. It was a simple rose bud, but I was excited I was able to make it. I taught myself how to crochet with magazines I inherited from my grandmother. That's been almost 30 years now. I can't wait to make this shawl. Shawls are my go to gift for people.
This is gorgeous! I knit a funky hat a few years ago and decided it needed some flowers on it. A search of the internet resulted in the perfect crocheted flowers. They were so fun to make and the hat turned out really cute! As always, THANK YOU for all the gorgeous patterns, your stunning yarns and your oh-so-helpful tutorials! (I taught myself to knit using your tutorials 😃!)
I have crochet flowers for a friend in the hospital so she could have a bouquet that did not die . The pattern was so easy that my niece was able to help me crochet the petals.
I love crocheting flowers. They are super fast and make me feel like I have accomplished something even when I have a short amount of time. Or I’ll crochet them when I need a break from a long project just to be able to finish something!!!!
Wardah is an amazing designer! Just wow. This is something special. I have crocheted flowers and thoroughly enjoy them. I did Kola Street, and also crocheted a dainty flower bouquet for a Secret Santa gift.
Whew! Amazing! The shawl is breathtaking and the yarn choice is perfect! I am so new to crochet (finally!) that I am willing to try the flower, but have never done one. When I was little, my mom loved to make lace. She made lacy flowers with pink crochet thread and the background was off white, either granny squares or hexagons. She made this into a beautiful bedspread for my parents’ king size bed. When she was done, she calculated out the thread and figured it was over 7 miles of thread!
I have crocheted flowers and they help to build motivation for me because they are such a quick project. I have recently used some crochet flowers, using the beginning and ending ends to make a tied hanger, to hang on a small leafless tree. They are beautiful swaying in the wind.
Boda hues has been on my wishlist since I first saw it last year! This shawl is completely lovely 😍 I used to make crochet flowers for my daughter when she was a baby - for hats, hair bows, and accessories 🩷🌸
So beautiful!!! I have crocheted flowers in blankets, womens tops and cardigans and also now l am crocheting a bag with flowers. Love this shawl! The colors, the flow it gives, everything, looks so elegant🥰
Yes, I have crocheted a flower and it was used in a pillow- the flowers where 3d, petals and I did so from watching my grandmother crochet them. At the time I did not know how any stitch was called, but I could look at it and create the same. Thanks to my grandmother, I have this incredible love of crafts and especially knitting and crochet. Thank you for such a different and beautiful pattern and yarn that compliments this pattern so beautifully! I can't wait to try it! I just noticed your website has an an update. I love all the enhancements!
This shawl is absolutely beautiful and so representative of the beauty in nature. I have never crocheted a flower but I have made individual petals. May seem minute compared to these lovely flowers but I enjoyed making my petals and loved looking at them on my first ever made pumpkins last fall. I believe that’s what crocheting is about, enjoying the creation and loving what you’ve made. Thank you for sharing this design and video always delightful to watch.
I've dabbled in crocheting a couple of flowers. I'm not very confident in my flower making skills, but these are so gorgeous I just might try it! Thank you for all of the amazing patterns you make available and beautiful yarn to go with them!
It's so great to see more complex and advanced designs come through for crocheting! It's just so underrated on how beautiful crochet can truly be and this pattern is a great example of the dynamics that crocheting can offer.
I've crocheted varies flowers in crocheted granny squares. For me it can be a tricky thing to do if I'm not paying enough attention to my work and doing the counting I need to do but I love how they look when I'm finished and I have done well. I sent this video to my Mom because I knew she would love this piece in these colors. She responded with the text that she loved this and wanted one in these colors!! I'd love to win this kit so I could make this piece for her because I don't have a lot of money but I've followed you for a long time and receive your emails and have loved your yarns which I think are exquisite for a while now! Thank you for this chance to win the kit and for allowing us to download so many of your lovely pieces for free!❤
This is a wonderful shawl! I've crocheted 3D flowers for headbands and hats, as well as Irish crochet shawls. I highly recommend anyone that's made a granny square to take the next baby step up to 3D flowers from there.
My mother in law loves flowers and gardening. But as she's aging, she's late 70s now. She can't do it so much anymore. So for this last Christmas, i made and gave her a very large granny square blanket. 3D flowers kind of look really complex, yet they are fairly simple to actually do. The result is ALWAYS stunningly beautiful. The flowers on this shawl look amazing and i can't wait to make it. I think my mother in law has another gift coming!!
You are lovely❤

Absolutely stunning shawl. I love to crochet flowers. I often use a crochet flower as an extra to a gift bag.
Stunning piece ❤ Unless Sunflowers count for granny squares, I never done 3D-ish flowers before...I'm willing to learn, though.

Love it!
I've never crocheted a flower. But THIS will be the pattern I start with. What a stunner, Chandi.

Love your videos ❤yes I crochet many flowers I appreciate our explaining it so well thank you for sharing xx
I have crochet a simple flower before. The beads on these flowers are soooo beautiful. This is definitely an heirloom piece. Just beautiful
I have crocheted a rose before but never flowers like this. It’s gorgeous and the shawl is stunning!
Thank you so much & have a blessed day!! 😊🧶🦋💜
I tried years ago to crochet a flower. It left my head aching back then. Now I'm super excited to try making them.
I have crochet flowers for a friend in the hospital so she could have a bouquet that did not die . The pattern was so easy that my niece was able to help me crochet the petals.
Allergy free 💐
I love crocheting flowers. They are super fast and make me feel like I have accomplished something even when I have a short amount of time. Or I’ll crochet them when I need a break from a long project just to be able to finish something!!!!
Wardah is an amazing designer! Just wow. This is something special. I have crocheted flowers and thoroughly enjoy them. I did Kola Street, and also crocheted a dainty flower bouquet for a Secret Santa gift.
I’ve crocheted for many years, but have never tried flowers 🌸 This shawl is absolutely gorgeous!
Whew!
I used to love to crochet flowers as hair pieces when my daughter was a baby! Beautiful shawl!
Oh, my, gorgeous, gorgeous!!! Thank you for a fabulous pattern! You are the best, Chandi!!
Yes, I've crocheted many flowers and have used them in blankets, bouquets, clothing, and bags. This shawl pattern is gorgeous. I can't wait to start.
I have crocheted flowers and they help to build motivation for me because they are such a quick project. I have recently used some crochet flowers, using the beginning and ending ends to make a tied hanger, to hang on a small leafless tree. They are beautiful swaying in the wind.
OMG, that is stunning! I've been crocheting nearly 50 years and I've crocheted just about everything, including flowers.
I used to crochet flowers in doilies quite a bit when I was a teenager. I never thought about including them in a shawl. It's lovely!
Yes I've crocheted flowers. It's amazing how a person can take a hook and yarn and make something so beautiful.
It's so great to see more complex and advanced designs come through for crocheting! It's just so underrated on how beautiful crochet can truly be and this pattern is a great example of the dynamics that crocheting can offer.
I have crocheted a flower a made a tea.pot cozy with pansies on it and I made a sunflower shawl.
Good luck 💜
This is a wonderful shawl! I've crocheted 3D flowers for headbands and hats, as well as Irish crochet shawls. I highly recommend anyone that's made a granny square to take the next baby step up to 3D flowers from there.
