    The Bulgarian Dimov blows my mind. He doesn’t look like he can deadlift what he snatches let alone cl&jks . Amazing!

    Man I was holding my breath for that Vietnamese lifter, willing him to hold that weight. How exhilarating.

    Hampton can easily get back into top 10 for Paris. Right now his best of 290 he exceeds by more than 20 kg in training. 179 cl&jk. How about a world record at the Jr worlds this month Hamp?

    I love that Hampton Morris from the US has on a tie dye in his head shot

      Watch the video about Hamp and you discover he’s a 70’s music aficionado. He’s a 21st century guy I can relate to and I’m 44 years older than him.

    My max back squat is 150 kg at 75 kg BW, and these guys are lifting more than that like nothing. RIP

      Focus on just front and back squat multiple hours a day for 3-4 days a week and you too can at least have similar
      Back squats to them
      Lol. Crazy how strong weightlifters are.

      Do 6x8 back squats @120kg twice a week and 7x7 front squats @100kg once a week.
      You will squat 170 after 8 weeks

    2 months after this Hampton competed in the Jr worlds and did 125-178. He still has one more year of junior eligibility left. Li Fabin looked rather human in the cl&jk this competition.

    It's Odd to see LiFaBin miss the Jerk not the Clean even he was relatively Poor Cleaner but Strong Jerker

      @stanleyextra2812 Рік тому +4

      Not a good day for him to get light-headed like that on the jerk. But still easily wins the gold medal lol

    Without drugs, weightlifting would be much different.

      It'd be much worse imo-I think it's at a decent spot where teams are "allowed" to dope but not blast copious amounts or else they'll get popped. Obv some bad outliers like DPRK but overall limited doping makes sports more enjoyable or else you'd just get injuries all the time and weaker performances

      Yeah. Most sports should be allowed atleast testosterone. Athletes at these expert levels truly need it to recover and stay alive.

    I remember when there was heavy steroid use in the 1980s there was a lifter called the pocket Hercules lifted 190 kilos in the 132 lb. Class

    • @patricklang7162
      @patricklang7162 Рік тому +1

      Yeah. His real name
      Is too hard to spell
      Or even remember hahahaha! It ends up being 3.15 times his body weight. Imagine if Lasha could lift like that. His clean and jerk alone would be well over a world record total. Even
      If he could lift only half his body weight. I’ll never understand the strength discrepancy between the lighter classes and heavier classes.

    Pocket Hercules lifted 190K at 55K weight to put these lifts in perspective.

      Actually he did it when he lifted at 60 kg-still mind boggling. I notice you make the same comment on just about every WH vid. Stand up for your peeps. I hope he’s at peace wherever he is now. He died far too young.

      10 big red plates on each side would just about cover it. Maybe lengthen the bar a foot on each side.
