I lived and worked in Cambodia for nearly 2 years, really memorable experience. Angkor Wat also has a large stunning waterfall you can also drive to and swim if you have time. Its called Phnom Kulen Waterfall National Park in Siem Reap.
Bayon Temple is the temple that has the 3 Dinosaur hieroglyphics, its a stegosaurus, T-Rex and a Sauropod. YOu should of had him show you those. No one knows why they carved them into the temple. Also you should still check out West Baray, its somewhere Tourists don't go really and super chill. Also you are near the temple of Shiva which is kinda weird too.

Fun fact - the movie Lara Croft Tomb Raider (2001) was partially filmed in Cambodia and the movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) was partially filmed in Sri Lanka.
