It was great to hear why you chose your colours, Jean Lurssen. And thank you for demonstrating your little painting; each work you paint contains a diamond or three of important painting tips.

More Mt Tam and Marin County tutorials please! I lived in Forest, Knolls and San Rafael for many many years and we raised our boys there. My husband and I are now in Arizona which we also love because of the desert scape and the weather but my heart aches for Mt Tam and Marin county…

I learn a lot from your tutorials. My interest is California landscapes. I love your description of your work, for ex. In this video. Sometimes It is hard to see your work as you cover it with your hands as you speak. If feedback is of interest for you. Thanks for your beautiful work.

Shout out from this Novatoan! New to your channel and am very appreciative of the color conversations. So very helpful. I can see where I need to start just playing with the paints, without looking to “create”. I have much to learn, and your approach takes the pressure off. Thank you for this gift.

Hi Jean, I’d love to try some of your paintings, but think it might be a good idea to invest in some acrylic and/or watercolour ink. Could you tell me how you choose to use a watercolour or acrylic ink with watercolour paints please? The advantages / disadvantages of using each with paint? Many thanks 😊
