Hello Lou, T he Prayer " by Lucy & Martha Thomas, this rendition is just so beautiful the harmony that these girls sing is just out of this world, this cover has to be one of the best ever. Take care, Barbara.
Thanks SMR for supporting Lucy and Martha. 17 and 12 if I remember correctly. There is lots of good stuff where that came from. Over 60 on UA-cam. Even at 14 or below Lucy is spectacular. Enjoy.
Lucy and Martha sang this live at Lucy’s first ever solo, full length concert in Manchester in March 2024 to close out the first half. It was (still is) the best duet I’ve ever heard live! Oh and by pure luck I was sitting next to their Mum and Dad at the time!
Nice reaction. Very informative. They are good, end of. In this day and age of pouting lips, and gyrating hips, it's a pleasure to listen to music that is so clean and pure.
Hi,SLM, Cavendish and Lucy Thomas music are very happy for reactor's to use their material, as it helps promote Lucy and Martha, so no issues with copyright, Ian. great reaction by the way!!
Yep, the same reaction to everyone who's seen this video of these two young ladies performing the "The Prayer". Jaw dropping perfection. By the way, I've said this before, you DON'T have to pause the video unless you wish to. Chris Broom, owner of Cavendish Records, who is Lucy's mentor and producer, releases these videos as a promotional tool. So there wont be a problem with copyright.
Great reaction Lou! Once again, simply fabulous harmony from Lucy and Martha! I believe Lucy was 18 and Martha was only 12. I would like to suggest what I feel is Lucy's most emotional performance: "I’LL NEVER LOVE AGAIN"; ua-cam.com/video/4g1Qpu9XPL8/v-deo.html Don't hesitate due to Lucy's young age. You will hear and agree that Lucy's voice was mature well beyond her years. At only age 15, Lucy’s emotional and powerful performance was even better the original. Enjoy! Thx Lou! It truly is a masterpiece - just amazing and beautiful. Appreciate your continued reviews and insights. Please keep going!
I'd rate this rendition of the Prayer by these sisters the greatest duet ever recorded. Period. Show me a duet (any duet, by anyone) that beats this.
Glad you enjoyed this duet, as I and some others had mentioned. Good to hear some of your background too.
