Succulent information Care tips for succulents
1)SOIL- well draining ,porous,loose soil…non organic,a soil media that doesn’t retain moisture.
2)POT - smaller the pot better ideally 3-4 inches pot depth is good enough for a medium size succulent.
3)WATERING - only when the soil is bone dry however green coloured succulents like haworthia ,aloe mainTain slight Moisture but not soggy wet soil.
4)LIGHT - brightly coloured succulents provide direct morning sunlight for 5-6 hours post acclimation .Green coloured succulents like haworthia, strings of pearls or any string varieties indirect bright light.
5)Fertiliser - is not the top priority if you don’t use fertilisers it’s fine…but if you do go for liquid based fertiliser 1/2 the strength what’s mentioned on the bottle dilute in water ….and only feed the succulents that are in their growping perios …never feed dormant succulents…never add too much fertiliser it wil make the succulent weaker …during the growing period once a month or once in two month should be good ….wishing you all the luck

Lots of information for my future succulent 😊. That u soo much succulent guru.
thank you so much .. wishing you all the best
as always very informative
thank you so much :)
thank you for your reply
Always welcome
My moonstone dropped most of its leaves over the past 2 weeks. I live in Mumbai and it’s very hot and humid. It was doing so well until this happened. Hoping it recovers. Thanks for the tips
oh no ..yes many ppl are facing this issue ..unfortunately this is environmental issue ...be it dry/heat or humid/heat in both cases it will drop leaves in fact even echeveria will do the same :(
My moonstone has dropped all of its leaves and is now left with only one leaf. It also had a small pup which has dropped all of its leaves. I have moved it indoors in bright light. Hoping that it recovers.
oh no ..yes hope it grows new leaves :(
Gud morning sir ji👍
good morning :)
Very helpful information...
Please share care tips for crassula ovata as well.
here :) ua-cam.com/video/96kgUMqQaao/v-deo.html
same goes for ovata also just like moonstone they cant handle excess heat and they will start to drop their leaves so ensure you keep them away from heat but with indirect bright light that's also very important :)
@@LushGardenerThanks
I've kept it inside the room near the window where it gets afternoon sunlight through the window glass. Is it okay...as one leaf dropped yesterday?
Thanks for the link you shared...the video is very helpful
My moonstone is dropping leaves because of the heat 😢 if I keep it in air conditioned room if becomes leggy because of low light, praying to save my plants from the heatwave 😞
Oh no! yes that's the most difficult part do you have any window with good light
@@LushGardener no we have wooden windows, that's the main issue 🥲
Hi Frank, (excuse the all caps) are the GRAPTOPETALUM AMETHYSTINUM (LAVENDER PEBBLES) also summer dormant?
don't worry about CAPS .hahaha you can type how ever you want :)
yes Graptopetalum is summer dormant
I have a question. My succulent stretch out due to insufficient light. Do they return to original form being more compact after i use grow light to correct the situation. thank you for your kind reply
Unfortunately No 🥺…the stretch part can’t be reversed back …if it’s extremely stretched and bent chopping is only option
My leaves are turning yellow ...from lower leaves ..what to do?
is it a new succulent you purchased ?
Can we placed succulent in bedroom where bright light comes whole day but in night air condition is on,
So is there any effect on heath of succulent?
its do-able provided the light in the bedroom is above 2000 lux at all given point of time for 10 plus hours ..and the temperature shouldn't fluctuate immensely....there shouldn't be drastic temperature fluctuations like lets says day time bedroom temperature is 32-33c night 21 is ok ...centralized air conditioners works well cause the temperature is evenly maintained at all time ...i would say don't open the windows then there will warm air ...and don't move succulents ...lot of things to keep in mind
My 1 year old moonstone has big black spots in several leaves so I cut the stem and take off some leaves for propa that has no black spots and place them in the shaded area but the propa leaves continuously having black spot why is it so Sir LG? Majority of my succulents drop leaves and turned black spots, some melts😢
hi so sorry for late reply ..my wifi internet all gone for toss due to heavy rains and wind. 🥹…this is mainly happening due to high humidity and heat ..
dropping of the leaves is more related with environmental factors more than watering..usually we keep a check on watering so we can avoid but when it come to environmental factors very difficult to handle unless you move them some where cooler
@@LushGardener Hi Sir LG! I hope everything's well with you. Thanks for the reply and despite of the poor internet due to weather condition in your place, you still find time to respond. So this S&C problem is unavoidable 😢 but you know I find the Cacti, Hawo, Aloe's and kalanchoi more sturdier than succulents😅 Keep safe Sir LG...you and your Family! Have a blessed Tuesday!😊
Will it die after losing leaves?
yes if they keep losing leaves and dont produce new leaves it will die :(
@@LushGardenerwhat should I do now?
@@LushGardenerseller overwatered it roots are still fine will it survive 😢
hope it does let the roots dry ..depends on how over watered it was
