@@billhall6788 I love the lad. He plays for the shirt and will be an amazingly good second choice on that wing but over a season he doesn't have the same quality as the rest of the first team. I truly hope he ends his career with us - I think he's good enough and I think he deserves it
Credit to Si for recognising Howe's durability, resourcefulness and coaching talent when countless other youtubers wanted to 'throw the baby out with the bath water' 🏆. Adam Pearson to name but one, who wanted Howe out if we lost last season's derby!
Spot on lads..so many fans youtubers were jumping on Howe after Brentford ???..Howe is doing just fantastic with one hand tied behind his back with per rules simple,s
100%. Si kept the faith while getting absolute pelters. We'll have more disappointments this season but hopefully we can back Howe and the side when they come.
Will Osulas signing could have been for goalkeeping and other strategic defensive reasons most of us havent considered. We are all familiar with the concept of a cork in a bottle and with Will Osulo the team have had an adversary to train with that wants to pop that cork. Perhaps we are now seeing the results of a squad wide improvement in protecting that vulnerability.
“Bruno’s not worth £100m”, an incredible take by our own “fan”! Perhaps Bruno just loves playing for the Toon and really just doesn’t want to leave? And he’s certainly our best midfielder, in spite of Tonali’s improved form!
Gordon to just look up instead of blasting balls at keeper isak was in acres of space 1-3 game over.and everyone knows Murphy is going to whip one in box we need to be ready man HWTL
12:12 Didn't we win against Forest, Arsenal, and Spurs (when they were still good too) in league? And draws against Liverpool and Man City (when they were still good) I'd say those are teams of note.
Excellent defensive performance. I watched with a neutral and he was saying “calm down! They’re not going to score!” The way Eddie set up the team to kill the half space left spuds with no options. They had a chance from a temp brain fart from the players who switched off for a second from a ludicrous free kick awarded to Maddison for running into Botman. We need to put these games to bed first half though. If only for our collective metal health. Ange sounded like a man blaming out due to desperation. I like Ange to be honest but he sounded on the edge. I bloody loathe spurs fans though so it’s all good!
What I found remarkable is that this was the 3rd time this season where we win despite falling behind. The other two were Wolves and Forest, both away as well.
We are still missing too many good chances when we dominate first halves, can't keep doing that. It means that lesser sides like Spuds and ManUre are still in the game in the 2nd hakf
Well that’s been the case since the 22-23 season. I remember Willock, Longstaff and Joelinton missing big chances most weeks. But we had Wilson bang in 18 goals and Isak scored 10 goals despite missing 4 months through injury. We don’t have world class wingers yet.
That’s quite harsh to say we weren’t good given how Postecoglo threw on Son and Maddison to push for a goal and we kept them from scoring quite comfortably
You're right, Bruno wasn't right at the start of the season and healthy competition is good. However, I felt Bruno was drifting into no. 6 too often in the second half v. Spurs, and the team performance suffered!
Regarding this point about ‘spurs being the better team over the two games’ is maybe more nuanced than it appears. On both occasions spurs have flattered to deceive. They have the appearance of being very good but they don’t create the chances their play suggests. If you kill the half space on the corner of the box they run out of ideas very quickly. Everything they do starts from their short game in this space and if you block this off they run about a lot but they aren’t effective. They create the odd chance but then everyone creates the old chance. Well, unless your Everton of course
I’d give spurs the same amount of sympathy and understanding that they gave us last season when our injury ravaged and exhausted team were overrun by them.
Must must must get the monkey off the back and win silverware; as such, more likely to win more cups and that momentum will help league form too! Tuesday’s match is more important than spurs result. Have to ensure we are still in the tie come the return leg (btw, the stupidity of this comp having 2 SF legs infuriates me - no justification!)…our record v Arsenal away simply terrible. Our cup record v them poor too home & away….
Winning the League Cup would be amazing but isn’t giving us enough money to strengthen and conference football isn’t keeping Isak and Bruno at the club. The better option for the long term stability is CL but I do agree that winning a trophy is so important and has the possibility of being the catalyst to let us push on. Both are very important but money is the main thing holding us back so it’s hard to turn CL down
Their haters, ie gooners, are all telling them , oh well, you WERE, at least on top for a while...a whole 2 minutes 20 seconds ! God, I just had to laugh 😂😂
Talk of getting to the league cup final is not enough, winning it, should we get there is all that matters is winning it. That’s the winning mentality we need also.
One step at a time. Winning mentality can also be a "we can win the next game" rather than "we can win every game" when you do the second you get an Arsenal fan
Poor finishing from isak and Gordon could of cost us, it didn't but next time it may. Isak can't be the best in the league if he is missing the chances he is currently.
Guys Murphy’s play is giving us a proper out let on the right and his assists have opened up the game for the front three.

The h8e for Murphy is baffling he is assist leader and the reason why Harvey is warming the bench
@@trevortawandamaliro3865 nobody is hating him at the minute cos he's producing quality.

With respect, that's a load of bollocks
Another game, another top 6 rivals season ended! 😄

So lads are you saying rice is worth £105 million??..come on brono is easy worth £100 million plus if rice is worth that??
In this market when Enzo, Caicedo and Rice are all worth £100mil+, Bruno's value has to be £100mil+
He said 100mil was a "bit high" born out by the fact no one triggered the clause. Fairly sound logic.
Quality wise I don’t think you can get a rizla paper between Tonali and Bruno. I’d probably pick Tonali for the wrong, sentimental reasons:)
Drawing Bromley at home in the Cup is really paying off now as we definitely need to give a lot of these players a break after the recent run.
Greek keeper
Trippier Kelly botman targett
Miley longstaff willock
Barnes Osula Almirón
Strong enough?
@Cristobal_2012maybe tempted to play Alex Murphy in place of Botman as he's likely to have to play Vs Arsenal this Tuesday...

Isak should be top scorer of the premier league
This is my only current gripe about our performance.
Brilliant win yesterday all things considered spurs wernt that bad and the officials seemed dead set on preventing us from winning
Truth is we weren't good but we found a way to win when playing badly like good teams do. In a weird way that's a huge positive
That’s quite harsh to say we weren’t good given how Postecoglo threw on Son and Maddison to push for a goal and we kept them from scoring quite comfortably
@Jettplayzgames at our best we would have won 4 or 5 to 1. We would have destroyed them in midfield but we didn't. See the real positives
“Weren’t good”? I think we can do better but we were great. Defending second half was excellent.
Five Premier League wins in a row, and yet you still manage to make the glass sound half full. 👏🏽
I think you mean half empty?

League Cup is still the priority, I'd 100% take winning that over CL qualification.
financially, the opposite is true, however.
