  • Quick ride around town on my 2018 TaoTao ATM50 with a big bore kit, A9 Cam, Larger Carb, Aftermarket exhaust, and 1500 rpm clutch and torque springs. I'm still dialing in the jetting on the carb, hence the loading up on takeoff. Also I've adjust the lifters to .004 and .005 but they still tick like crazy. I've also tried .002 and .003 and still ticked, oh well doesn't seem to hurt performance. Filmed on a gopro Hero HD on 720p60fps.

I added the Big Bore kit as well, and had the same clicking sound. I to re-adjusted the lifters to .004 and still made the clicking noise, so I added some Lucas Oil to it and it help quiet some of the clicking. I think is just needs some breaking in time.

I put the big bore kit on after about 300 miles, I used a stock 150cc carb as well, not sure on the jetting, I just adjusted the mixture screw until it ran good, exhaust was a growsun aftermarket exhaust that's not made anymore, actually the big bore kit was from grownsun as well, I was told it was a good name brand kit, just discontinued. I also changed the weights and springs in the cvt, and used a kevlar belt to last longer. Had to readjust valves twice a couple days after installation but that's it. Fires right up and idles better than this dudes scooter. Even running a stock carb. Did put aome lighter rollers in it and made one heck of a difference when first taking off and lower acceleration speeds. Was pretty easy for me anyway. Took me 2 hours for everything with the bbkit and 30 minutes for the rollers.
