- Dr. P.J. Wagner, a spine surgeon from Connecticut, always joked that if he ever needed spine surgery, he'd have his colleague and friend Dr. Dominic Kleinhenz perform it.
So, when a large herniated disc in his neck was causing neurological problems and required surgery, he knew just who to call.
Together they decided P.J. would undergo a cervical disc replacement, since it was the better option to maintain P.J.'s mobility.
P.J. and Dr. Kleinhenz go way back. While completing their spine surgery fellowship at Rhode Island Hospital, they performed hundreds of procedures together. P.J. knew he was in good hands because he saw firsthand how meticulous and thoughtful Dr. Kleinhenz was.
Following the outpatient procedure, P.J.'s pain and neurological issues were gone. He's now back in the operating room and can't thank Dr. Kleinhenz enough.
