- Sailing Team Tally Ho takes to the snow for the 2024 FIS World Cup for cross country skiing that was held against all odds of snow conditions on Feb 16-18 2024. The event had heartbreakingly been canceled in 2020 at literally the last few hours due to COVID 19. Especially heartbroken was our local hero Jesse Diggins, who had campaigned so hard to make both the 2020 and 2024 in her home town possible. Up until just a couple of days before the 2024 event, there was little or no real snow and prospects for creating artificial snow (which athletes generally dislike) was grim due to it not consistently falling to temperatures that snow guns could produce at. But then during the night within 48 hours of the event a forecasted anemic 1 inch of snow turned out to be 7!. The conditions became world class as well as tens of thousands of spectators turned out to Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis to cheer on and support their heroes. A huge success by all accounts. Within 3 days, the snow was forecast to be completely gone. Was it Jesse's miracle? What do you think?

Was it a miracle no it was just a fantastic fluke in the ever fluctuating era of global warming in which we find ourselves thank God it happened when it did! What a beautiful event it was wonderful to watch the athletes it was wonderful to see Jessie Diggins realize her dream of having an event here it was wonderful to participate as a fan and to be able share One of our beautiful cities off to the world what a wonderful event thank you volunteers organizers all sponsors and Jessie Diggins
Yes, it was Jessie's Miracle without a doubt. Since I live in Minneapolis I am an expert on winter weather conditions in Minnesota.
Another true believer! Yes i live close to wirth park too and actually had my first race there 50 years ago in HS...this was a Jessie's miracle!

Yes many hidden miracle stories in this weekend.❤ i remember the miracle on ice well, i was actually in an ncaa xc ski competition that day in winter park CO and my teammates roused me up from my before race sleep and said that i really really needed to watch it..esp since i was from MN. Its what made me think of the title because it was the same feeling!
