That jump one hand backhand is glorious. Shapovalov has an arsenal of weapons being left handed and a one hand backhander all at once. Besides the fact that one hand backhand play always looks nice to watch. Incredible stuff to watch!
Entertaining player. That signature back hand jump shot is amazing. I got emotional watching the end in Montreal against Nadal. My dream is to see him play live some day. Maybe in Montreal since I'm here.
🤩 Shapovalov with that single left handed backhand whilst jumping 5’ in the air👏👏👏👍👍🤩. Amazing! What agility! What dexterity! What a gymnast!👍He tries to get EVERY BALL BACK.👏👏
Mi jugador actual favorito. Tiene una técnica preciosa, su revés es una delicia. Su talento me recuerda al gran Chino Ríos de 🇨🇱. Toda la suerte Shapo💪🏻🤙🏻
This boy has one of the most incredible arm in tennis history ! I hope he will gain consistency soon so he gets the ranking he deserved... Come on Denis ! Keep going !!!
@@siccimo4501 I actually think the technique of both forehands are quite good, but just as you say, definite improvement is needed for timing. I hope Shapo tightens it up because it could be a HUGE weapon.
@@noeldacosta7621 He isn't consistent enough as of right now. Fair enough being so young. Shots sometimes go all over the place. The way I see it, he's got all the ingredients, he's just... half baked at the minute? Haha
I really hope he actually pans out and starts getting consistent results. Otherwise he'll be another Monfils.. flashes of pure brilliance on court but no significant results to back it up. He has the game and athleticism for sure. He's my favorite next next (or whatever next we're on now) gen player to watch
@@alexcelo Uhh... Tennis? lol Dominic Thiem has a more accurate backhand swing, but Shapvalov can produce far crazier shots when he times it up right. Both have a ton of power behind them
@@alexcelo He's been on tour longer which definitely helps as well. Thiem has about as perfect of a game all around as you can have as of now, Shapo is clearly still unpolished. Hopefully tennis comes back soon so we can see the continuing growth in all these new stars and if the old guard can hang on any longer.
I love shapo but he is always showing his best skills under pressure, rarely when he is in control... let’s hope he can be more aggressive and dictate more.
Al little bit underrated for me. At some review videos of "best backhands", he doesn't appear, meanwhile he has one of the best backhands of the circuit
His spectacular jump shot backhand .... is it a high or low percentage shot for him? When just 18 he beat Nadal....he can be a future No 1 and Grand Slam winner for sure....
Pura elegancia de juego, un talento indiscutible y los más genial de Shapo, su monstruoso revés. Es una bestia, pero aún no ha despertado, cuando lo haga, no lo parará nada.
Most pure groundstroking talent of all time. He’ll slowly get more consistent and mentally tough in clutch moments and probably win some grand slams, but I don’t think it’s possible to be consistent enough with this type of playstyle to be dominant consistently for years.
Sometimes I watch a match and think “how did that ball survived?”, especially with delpo, sock, kyrg or rublev. But on that Shapo x De Minaur I was wondering “how are those shoes surviving this match?”. Damn they are fast.
Most one handed backhands from the left side are average to poor...just used to keep the rally going. But Shapovalov's is actually above average and a weapon. Very rare
Shapo's jump backhand winner is the nicest shot in tennis right now!
Absolutely
ah yes, the Dragon Lunge backhand
Eric Weber um as a new player what’s the advantage of using a jumping backhand or is it just for looks
No, i prefer kirgyos 's shot!
How about Nadal running forehand and his top spin. It is outstanding too.
My shoulder almost dislocated while watching this.
😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
2:08 Del Potro is thinking 'so that's what that feels like'
Haha a forehand winner yes
Shapo is the best! I met him in real life countless times and have like 4 autographs from him heck I even had a short conversation with him!
I'm so jealous of you🥺
Just kidding 😂 but I really wish I could meet him🙃
I wanna meet him too.
I talk with nadal and nole every day
that's so cool!!!!

😂 r😂😂f
Happy 21st Birthday, Denis
He’s the next generation of elegance
Shawn Zhang just pure power
He hasthe nicest style on tour, second only to Federer himself
He’s unbelievable at ball striking

The reaction from Popyrin is the real highlight.

What an incredibly charismatic skilled player he is. Happy birthday Shapo!
Zverev spends too much time in other people's highlight reels.
This comment hasthe perfect amouny of truth and savagery in it. I love it
that's because he put himself in there
Daniel Tran hilarious

Love Shapo's jump backhand, a thing of beauty. He is one of the players that I miss the most during this crisis.
One of the most explosive players on tour to watch, Happy Birthday El Shapo!
such a talented young man! Can't wait for him to win a slam!
Love his jumping backhand. Happy birthday 🎊
Anyone else want shapovalov in one word?
we'll defo try do this when tournaments resume!
Sure!
I'd like to know how many of those jumping backhands he misses, they're pretty epic.
he's pretty consistent with them
he only takes them on slower and higher balls that are very easy to attack so he rarely misses
He seems to get them all - not always for winners but almost always back in play
Well, now, in 2022, I can say that he misses most of them, lmao
@@matvejkap 🤣

😂
Lovely to have these new young guys on the tour! A bit of refreshment, what a style!
A great tennis star!
The video that needed to happen 🙌🙌
Can we just take a moment to appreciate that half volley drop shot at 7:17
Explosive Power. Spectacular Shotmaking.
This video should be titled "you've got to be kidding me"
He has the gift of raw power, youth and does not fear the net. with the right mental attitude he could win majors.
His jumping back hand is AWESOME
I think i've found my new favourite player. Both the forehand and backhand the technique is so flowing and good to watch
Really love his strokes so effortless but powerfull
Love it Shapo, just plz stop rapping 😄
OMG LITERALLY
Lmaooo

this decade can belong to him - i will be cheering for you bud lets go
I was watching this video and i could not help to notice the sportsmanship that Tiafoe has.
One of my favourite players to watch.
Do like this fella all out attack and aggression looking to win. Wonderful backhand he has power on both sides.
7:25 Popyrin's face :D Pure disbelief.
This boy has one of the most incredible arm in tennis history !
I hope he will gain consistency soon so he gets the ranking he deserved...
Come on Denis ! Keep going !!!
Happy birthday Denis!!!🎉🥳🥳
He kind of reminds of Verdasco in a way, but with a few more tools. I think he'll be an amazing player in a couple years time.
They both have issues with forehand timing. Otherwise they would have GS both
@@siccimo4501 I actually think the technique of both forehands are quite good, but just as you say, definite improvement is needed for timing. I hope Shapo tightens it up because it could be a HUGE weapon.
I hope he becomes more consistent eventually, that takes time

It's been two months and I miss watching tennis already

He actually has a game, though. Monfils has just trick shots and little else.
I'd say more like a Tsonga. I love monfils but he is mostly a baseline pusher with no real threats.
Nah he’s better than Monfils he needs consistency but I get what you mean
i love him omggg
You know you have a special backhand when most of the highlight revolves around that wing😬
8:19 that mans face says it all
I thought that was Nadal. No?
valle3452 no he looks similar but it’s not him
Anton Owens It does 😊.
Denis will win over 15 slams and will be considered of the greats 🧿🔜🏆🏆🏅🏅🏅🏅🎯🧿🔜🧿
This kid is a pleasure to watch
Such a talent.
Man o man, I wish I could hit a Superman backhand like Shapo! SWEET!
Shapovalov is uncredible
Those court level clips are very nice
カッコ良すぎて5回以上は鳥肌立った。
4:26から始まるラリーのパスが個人的に1番😂👍
His shots make me fantastic.
By the end of next Season Shapovalov will be ranked No 1 💪💪💪
3:30 probably the best two nextgen players
Jannik Sinner looks good, going by his ATP Next Gen performance
Not a pin to choose between the two.

backhand's like missiles. Amazing. Stay safe
Even he knows that backhand is sick the way he acts after he hits it 😂
8:20 anyone know where to get this shirt?
happy birthday Dennis❗️
The two most exciting players Right Now playing deep into Rome 2020, are
Shapo and a new guy Musetti.
Very similar, one hand BH. Just no jumping :)
So much sport talent in Canada!
can't wait to see his progression in the next 10 years
No doubt about his future ! He gonna be into the 3 first places of ATP. He just need to regulate his emotions !
Him and felix will have a great rivalry
Felix will need to win a title first ... 5 tries already
@Press and Hold ! yeah so he jumps up the ranks but mabye he enters too many
True that.
Très bon vidéo 😊😊😊
His backhand is pretty much on par with Thiem's, absolutely RIDICULOUS velocity he gets on that thing 🤚

I'm 3 weeks older than him.
I'm on the ATP Tour, but I at least got age on him 😂
He maybe is a player who is Nadal and Federer collaboration we are looking for in the future. I hope so.

Yes it upsets me when he isn’t bc once he’s on a roll he can beat anyone
