That was an epic qualifying session. My only wish is that the cars have more lively liveries like they did back then, but thats me being picky haha

Additional note = Ferrari, Toyota, Isotta, Peugeot are only allowed to deploy their hybrid with the speed above 190km/h. This to prevent significant traction advantage over LMDh cars where's its hybrid are deployed to the rear axle, while LMH cars are deployed to front axle.
FIA and WEC got it are restricted for Ferrari 499P (it be really be criticized used to Ferrari is becoming cheating in win be prohibited by FIA to make the banned for 499P)

One of the things I love about WEC is the number of teams who do live streams from their cars. That and the actual multiclass racing make this one of the most exciting race series in the world for me.

F1 is awful compared to WEC. F1 is only number one In popularity. F1 is one of the worst racing series.

WEC is close to F1 in terms of technical aspects but it needs to work on its media to make it more marketable because WEC is really competitive now thanks to hypercar.
I think hypercar needs good drivers with huge media coverage. Seb for example would do wonders for WEC. I hope he choses to drive for Ferrari or Porsche.
F1 is really well marketed. The racing is definitely not the best in the world, not even in open wheel racing.

They have definitely picked up the production and content this year, which is great to see. Something that IMSA really hasn't done, or WRC even. F1 has showed that social media is very important.

@@supramkiv2849Nah, I'm Sure they have realistic expectations for their First season as a privateer entry. They already have a better Basis than Glickenhaus And Vanwall by having a hybrid.And they almost got into hyperpole but got their lap deleted.

Look at that gap for the lmgt3 pole, 0.693, nearly 7 tenths is massive for the #92 Manthey Porsche, especially considering their teammates in the #91 was over 1 second off the pace in p7, but if a Porsche wins tomorrow I would expect a bop change before the next race, and Lexus definitely needs some bop help as well
BoP is not the only factor slowing down the car, the drivers in LMGT3 are bronze and silver rated drivers. The driver skill difference is another important factor contributing to slower lap times. For Hypercar, all drivers are Pro rated and there is very small gap between driver skill level. Therefore, BoP plays a bigger role in Hypercar category.
@@ra1nning_in LMGT3, one driver is Bronze, 2nd driver is Silver. 3rd driver can be Platinum/Gold. Only Bronze are allowed to qualify

@@amruze his car’s systems were probably confused at the moment and it isn’t safe to rejoin right after you spin because there could be other cars and that could cause a collision
Our Hero Kevin is the quickest Porsche. Thats what I love to see
And Antonio Fuoco is the quickest Ferrari Hypercar driver
And such a battle in the last half an hour! Still sad he didn't get the win but to me it looked like the porsche had less traction on exits than the toyota. Either way, he is quick.

Because the Huracan GT3 EVO 2 has a new air intake derived from the STO. Definitely sounds a bit louder

Fantastic to have these highlights, been waiting a while to have live commentary instead of post session summary type videos. However, I don’t think the music is necessary, would be better to feel like I’m watching the best bits live, rather than a dramatisation, in my opinion.

Love this sports. Started watching it again after years and stopped watching formula 1 from this season. Now Formula 1 is about money, not about true motor sports.

Why the red flag tho? only yellows would have been okay no?
I wonder if they pressed the button/made the call just before the BMW got going again, just in case it needed recovering, to try and buy a little extra running time afterwards instead of ruining a load of people's laps with a Yellow.
It's a very dangerous place to have a car stopped at as it's a blind fast corner exit, we can even notice the urge in the race director's call. However in my opinion they just needed a slow zone procedure
@@SmallBlogV8 Yeah I think you're spot on. Yellow flag could've been dangerous if that car didn't get going again and it would have finished the session if it had to be recovered.

FIA should standardize the on screen UI for all motor racing sports. It will be a seamless connect for fans to follow sports. For example the F1 on screen format is way better to understand, and can be followed in the same way for WEC to have that connect of following a quali and race. Definitely the number of cars are crucial factors but something to think of.

The lap time graphics are really hard to see. Get rid of the no-background layout to improve visibility and make the current lap time larger and place it on the upper portion of the box with sectors at the bottom, like you know, the traditional way.

The red flag came out a split second before that car got moving again. If that car didn't get moving and they didn't red flag the session then the rest of the session would've been wasted while they recovered it. The red flag is what gave everyone an extra lap so good call on race directors part.
This is better than F1 not boring and not manipulated by one team
