Awesome snare drum sound! I might get one of these snare drums in the future for live performances. Brass for my main snare drum and birch or maple for my side snare drum
Great, thank you!

Hello.
Bought RRS 1465.
Please tell me how to tune the drum.
What frequencies do you tune the bottom head and top head to in all three settings (low, medium, high)?
Thanks Yamaha!
To whatever pitch you want! Think about the style of music you want to play and maybe try to emulate a snare sound you like. I’d always advise to tune the snare side much higher.
I just received this Yamaha brass 14 x 6.5 this week and tuned it with my Tune Bot. Mine now sounds exactly like his medium tuning and my settings are 290 hz top head, (might be 295, can't quite remember), and 389 hz reso. You kind of want the bottom head to always be anywhere between 385 and 400 for the best snare response, and then tune your top head either higher or lower than 295 depending if you want higher or lower tuning, or about 295 like mine if you prefer medium tuning. Hope that helps!
Just crank the hell out of the bottom head, no, tighter! Now tune the top wherever you want. You’re welcome.
