the long awaited comparison! i will be reviewing the palm springs mini backpack against the bum bag. both of these bags seem to always be out of stock so if you have the chance to look at them in person or try them on i highly recommend doing so. if you are doing it via your sa/ca make sure to ask for a lot of detailed pictures, because from my experience these bags can have varying quality discrepancies.
and yes I am wearing a juicy couture track suit lololl skims just recently came out with their own velour tracksuits so i decided to dig out of my closet my old sets hahaha i feel like i'm in the early 2000s with paris hilton and j lo again

Nice review. For those that don’t know, the flap at the front has function and reason why it’s there. It’s supposed to catch or hold the items in if the zipper is left open a bit & I don’t mean make it spill proof but more of an extra measure/function. 😉

YES LIKE SO FAST. It would literally be perfect and you could actually wear it like a Fanny pack. The one we have it’s just TOO big to wear around the waist smh.

I just got the PSM yesterday and I am so in love. I was lucky to get a made in France (I’m in the UK) I’m scared to adjust the straps as they are so stiff 😱 I love love love your reviews, thank you x

@@maggyxchuu I do like the bum bag a little bit more! I tend to carry more things with me and it’s at a way more reasonable price than the PSM. Eventually will probably have both though 😂

I chose the bumbag myself...I giggled when you said you chose the PS because the bb is still just a bb as I think same with the PS as it's still just a backpack 😆 although I agree I wish the bb was slightly smaller! I feel the PS is a safer buy as the bb is a unique style which is abit harder to pull off fashion wise maybe

Amazing job with this comparison!👏 I have both and I have to say that I was pretty hesitant getting the bumbag because I thought the size would overwhelm my frame, but it actually looks pretty cool worn. Plus the practicality won me over.💛 The PSM is still my favorite for everyday crossbody bag though.
YES THE PRACTICALITY of the bumbag. See if they made the bum bag smaller then it would literally be the best of both worlds

Just got a PSM last week. Mine is made in the US, so the top handle is toward the back (I learned it from your videos. Thanks). The boutique had 3 in stock, and on the first two I saw, the canvas on the main body and the front pocket did not align in the center (the flowers were not aligned. Also learned from your channel), so I got the third one. I mentioned it to the SA, and she said, "Oh, you are right. That's much better." I mean, for 2000 USD,,, LV can do better. Then, I'm a sucker for buying from LV. Anyway, love your vids.

@@maggyxchuu After 2 weeks of hard thinking, I decided to return my PSM😢 It's super cute, but how mine was sewn did not look right. It was like a ill-fitted shirt. The US-made top handle thing, I cannot unsee! I might try different LV boutiques and look at a few more PSMs to see if that inspires me again.

I personally like the regular mono over the reverse! Only because I feel like regular mono matches with more items. But I do like the look of the reverse :)

Have you tried wearing the psm as a sling bag by connecting a strap diagonally. Also, I tend to cross the straps as a backpack. At least on me, it makes the backpack sit flatter to the back without the big gapping. I do that with the Montsouris bb as well.
Oh wow!! I’ve actually never even tried or thought of doing the straps diagonally I definitely need to give that a go 🧐 and yes you’re a backpack lover like me I can see 🥰
when I got my PSM in June, I used it everyday for a month and the bottom leather loops where the straps clip on already started chipping X___X. I had a two month ordeal with LV to fix it - LV customer service is not the greatest. and I didn't even wear it as a backpack, i mostly used it as a crossbody, so I guess just be careful of the leather loops when you wear it cause your clothes will rub off on it :/

@@maggyxchuu I totally agree with you! But I’ve had my backpack since 2016 and it looks brand new, I got the bum bag last year for Christmas. I think it holds up well compared to some other brands for sure! You should look into getting the mini pochette from LV. its the perfect little pouch!

Have you ever seen the LV Clapton backpack ? That is the prettiest backpack LV has ever done (in my opinion ❤️). Especially the one in the pink 💕👍
I have seen it and that backpack is super cute but to be honest my favorite backpack style is definitely the older montsouris backpack I wish they brought that back. I’m not a huge fan of the newer one that just got released

You are so lucky to have a perfect PSM. I had to exchange mine several times at the store to find a good enough PSM.
I had to exchange mine as well! And not super happy with the 2020 quality.
I’ve heard soo many returns of the PSM this past year especially. It’s unacceptable. They really need to reevaluate how they do their quality control.

Some of the PSMs have centered top handle, some don't. I have returned a Made in France one which didn't have a centered handle. I have returned two PSMs before I got mine, lol
Omg no way??? I thought the Made in France ones would have been more consistent on quality. Wow. Well then Louis Vuitton overall needs to first fix their quality control before they increase any more prices 🙃🙃🙃
@@maggyxchuu Not really, not only the handle, i saw inconsistencies between all three PSMs i ordered, for example the leather embossing on the black tab near that small pocket in front were super light in another bag, they are all minor inconsistencies, but they existed, the quality control should be better.
Really LV quality have been decreased a lot I just bought my bum bag and I feel the canvas is so thin

I honestly consider the bumbag unisex but they do have a men's bumbag that's similar but the shape is slightly different. The mens one is a bit more rectangular and they have it in the black and grey damier!

Did your bumbag come with the mini booklet? I finally ordered one online after stalking the website for weeks. But when I unboxed it, there was no mini booklet :(
Mine did! But I did purchase mine in store. I honestly hate Louis Vuitton online ordering bc every single time I’ve got something online the packaging and care for it is trash. The box is cracked or dented, they don’t use tissue or bubble wrap to protect it, and a lot of time they don’t put all the little extra stuff like the booklets.
