The white oak and light colored wood was called Blonde back in the 50's. It wasn't necessarily a type of wood but a color. Very popular. My mom had some Blonde pieces. Just a little furniture trivia. Have a great weekend Katie and thanks for taking us along.
We adore IKEA too. Furnished our new (to us) home in it and truly still happy with the purchases made and realizing I don’t feel the urge to switch it up in the past almost 9 years. We had a three year old moving in so we didn’t want to buy things that couldn’t take a beating. I also love the fact that almost everything we have is still around so you can repurchase an item if needed.
I could literally spend an entire day in Ikea just walking around looking at everything! The one closest to me sets up tiny apartments to show a lot of the furniture and I am always in awe of how big the spaces feel without having a ton of square footage.
I’m with you on the white oak! That cabinet with the black doors is definitely going to be in my new home in the future! Thank you for your videos. Per usual you hit it out of the park! ❤
OoOo what a great post! You had me at cornflower blue! Yes please! I love how you say what you do differently in the kitchen and how you talk about your favorites! Great job!
THANKS KATIE ❤ I'll have to watch this again as I fell asleep on bed while sick 😫 but what I did see loved all three white oak washed display cabinets. Will catch up with you later 😊
I have cake stand! And I need another for a gift and might as well get another one for me since they can be used everywhere! I have at least 6-7 IKEA furniture items! They are the best!!! And I love that cabinet with black glass doors too!! They always have beautiful items!!❤
Thank you for this video! I am moving and will finally be getting a home office. Those Billy bookshelves with the glass doors would be perfect for the wall behind my desk. Thanks Katie!!
I love the white oak color coming out. I live really close to one, but haven't gone to ikea since before covid-19, so I eventually will need to visit again. 😊
Loving the sofas and chairs you're showing us - especially the oversized chair next to the sofa. I can picture reading books to my nieces together all cozy. And then you showed us that fun pop of yellow chair - I was loving on it until you said that it's very low and that you would have "no chance of getting up from that" 😂🤣😂🤣I couldn't stop laughing!!! And since I am older than you, and I currently live alone, there is no chance that I'd be able to get up from that chair, especially since there most likely wouldn't be anyone around to help pull me up 🤣.And you're right about how awesome those cabinets with the black framed glass doors are! So unique, and keeps the dust out while protecting your stuff from little hands or little paws. Huge fan! Keep taking us along shopping at IKEA - I love that store, and only wish my store was less than an hour's drive away.
Wish we had an ikea near me. What a great video, I loved the closet ...I would love that, and the bench at the clearance section loved it ...j.k. ..so many!!!! Thanks Katie ,have a good weekend😊
Great video Katie. I haven't been to ikea in quite some time but your video just gave me that push to check it out. The decor and showrooms are like no other. I get lost in that store in the best way possible. TFS 👍 😊
I thought it was just me! All I can hear is ‘it’s so nice!’ Nice nice nice! Not knocking her btw I do it too😂 take a drink every time she says ‘nice’ 😂
@@leahviolet6144 Agree. I’ve been trying to avoid overused words and to reach for better descriptors. Part of it is habit, but it makes us sound so dumb! We have words like exquisite, practical, tasteful, excellent, rich, nice-looking,handsome to describe furniture. Do we have to be obsessed by anything? We can adore, approve, cherish, prize, fancy, relish, be fond of, be pleased, appreciate……
Great video, thank you for showing such a wide variety of great things! I absolutely love their newer style furniture and decor pieces that differ from the typical Ikea stuff we're used to seeing. Some of their pieces I can see the price points, others I feel are too expensive for what they are. I always feel like their sofas and armchair type pieces are way overpriced and would shop elsewhere for those, even though I love some of the chairs. I can happily spend several hours in Ikea, just taking my time enjoying their setup rooms and ideas. It's such a unique shopping experience that I have yet to have anywhere else. Plus I'm Swedish, so I love some of the Scandinavian accents that are typically not seen anywhere else (at least near me). And I'm always amazed at videos of the "As Is" sections in Ikea stores because the one near me is almost always practically empty with a few crappy or broken things. Maybe I'm going at the wrong time lol. Thanks again for such a great video!!!
I have that watering can.. I love it I have had it for a bunch of years, my plant mister is way different, however it is from IKEA. O9ur IKEA is about 4 hours away. But we go a few times a year. Christmas is awesome to go and visit!
A lot of great new items. Now I want to go to ikea. Where are you? I’m in Canada & the pricing on a few items is cheaper here, which is weird if you are in the United States as we are usually more expensive.
Those copper pans are actually not badly priced. Calphalon is also around that price. If u wanted sticker shock for copper pans, a few years ago i was in a TJ Maxx store that had some priced well over $100 (i mean well over). They were gorgeous & heavy but wow.
Dutch is spoken and most of Holland, and many people here speak multiple languages Swedish is spoken in Sweden. Some/many Swedes also speak multiple languages.
I see that the prices are significantly higher than in Europe, f.e. the lamp with the nickel is $74,99 and overhere €54,95. And €1,00 is about $1,08, which is about $59,35, sales tax included. But in the US it is $74,99 without sales tax! That’s incredible expensive. The US is an expensive country.
Thank you for this video! I haven't been to Ikea in a few years because the closest store to me is 2.5 hours away in another state. But my sisters and i have been planning a trip there in February 🙂. So this was perfect timing! Almost like you just knew 😉, lol
Why do you end your statements with question marks - with the pitch going upward? Are you unsure of what you are saying? You do that mid-sentence, as well. Women - please speak with confidence, not as though you question everything you say. This is called upspeak and it is not attractive.
In Sweden those Astrid lamps are so common it's almost embarrassing being caught with one in your house!* 🤣 I honestly don't think I've ever been in the waiting room for doctors appointment that didn't have at least one Astrid... Or at least the chrome ones are, I think the brass/gold ones are new! 😃 I've got one, but the pleaded lamp shade was thrown away because it's just too much of a giveaway! 🫣🤣
The white oak and light colored wood was called Blonde back in the 50's. It wasn't necessarily a type of wood but a color. Very popular. My mom had some Blonde pieces. Just a little furniture trivia. Have a great weekend Katie and thanks for taking us along.
It's called birch
My parents called their bedroom suite "blonde" also--in 1970. It looked like that, too.
I took red lipstick to our blonde TV cabinet when I was a kid. My mom was not at all amused. 😮
All that "light oak" is birch! 😂 (we have those trees in Sweden)

I love IKEA

Love that IKEA furniture is so customized to people's needs
Your smile and enthusiasm completely improved my mood! Thank you
I never cared for Ikea furniture previously but this video has me rethinking that decision. Great job.
I tested the couches at 4:40 a couple weeks ago and was surprised by how comfortable they were!!
I’m with you on the white oak! That cabinet with the black doors is definitely going to be in my new home in the future! Thank you for your videos. Per usual you hit it out of the park! ❤

I have those Billy bookcases with the half door/glass in my office and I LOVE them! Love having the bottom part covered for office supplies!
We did that too in the late 89s with Billy.
I really like the closet storage. I would like that in my place too!
So many great items. I would go crazy in this place. Thanks for this
THANKS KATIE ❤ I'll have to watch this again as I fell asleep on bed while sick 😫 but what I did see loved all three white oak washed display cabinets. Will catch up with you later 😊
I love those little green houses!!
Oh Katie! I love an IKEA shop! So many beautiful things.
I have cake stand! And I need another for a gift and might as well get another one for me since they can be used everywhere! I have at least 6-7 IKEA furniture items! They are the best!!! And I love that cabinet with black glass doors too!! They always have beautiful items!!❤
Ikea ROCKS!! Wish I had a budget to match.❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for this video! I am moving and will finally be getting a home office. Those Billy bookshelves with the glass doors would be perfect for the wall behind my desk. Thanks Katie!!
Well done! Thanks Katie!!
Love Ikea. Your enthusiasm is contagious and love your excitement. Glad I got to see the store, thanks for sharing.
oh my gosh!!! all the new stuff is so good
very nice !!!!! love it Katie❤️
Thank you for sharing all the new merchandise.
I love the white oak color coming out. I live really close to one, but haven't gone to ikea since before covid-19, so I eventually will need to visit again. 😊
It’s Birch, not oak

If you want a bigger ikea nightstand, try one of their smaller dressers.
Thanks for the video. I have some ikea furniture. Through the years the finish has turned an orange hue.
Love your content
Wish we had an ikea near me. What a great video, I loved the closet ...I would love that, and the bench at the clearance section loved it ...j.k. ..so many!!!! Thanks Katie ,have a good weekend😊
Love IKEA. Great finds. Thank you 💙💙💙💙💙💙
Hey Katie. Love shopping at IKEA. Tfs. 🩷
Great video Katie. I haven't been to ikea in quite some time but your video just gave me that push to check it out. The decor and showrooms are like no other. I get lost in that store in the best way possible. TFS 👍 😊
Good video. I’m impressed with what we saw. Have a good day
Thanks for the trip to IKEA❤
This is the first time I've considered getting doors for my Billy bookcase! 😍
Love Ikea... funny I was thinking 🤔 of going there tomorrow...tfs
I just bought a hemnes shoe wrack, and it was more expensive than usually but it’s because it’s real wood now. It’s gorgeous!
Good morning happy Saturday morning and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
I don’t have an IKEA near me but love to see the videos.
Thanks...good job!
I’m obsessed! it’s magical! omg! Gen Z, vary your vocabulary! There are so many words in our language that can make you sound intelligent!
I thought it was just me! All I can hear is ‘it’s so nice!’ Nice nice nice! Not knocking her btw I do it too😂 take a drink every time she says ‘nice’ 😂

Hola amiga thanks for all the work you do just great be safe❤
I have that watering can.. I love it I have had it for a bunch of years, my plant mister is way different, however it is from IKEA. O9ur IKEA is about 4 hours away. But we go a few times a year. Christmas is awesome to go and visit!
So many nice things.
I really liked the white step back hutch you shared. It gave me European design vibes
we got that couch (L shaped gray one) and it is sooo good
Katie Winning!
Wow wow wow I love IKEA. I wish we had one here where I lived . Darn it😂
I’ve never been to IKEA, I think I’ll check it out.
You were definitely funny in today’s video…😊
So nice, sooooo, like, sooooo super nice, sooooo much, like so
A lot of great new items. Now I want to go to ikea. Where are you? I’m in Canada & the pricing on a few items is cheaper here, which is weird if you are in the United States as we are usually more expensive.
What was the name of the closet units?
Wish we had one close by..tfs

Wbenii make it a day out when I go and have dinner there aswell
I wish you would have spent some time on sofas and bed conversions
No IKEA near me in okc. I'm sad!!😢
Nice video but I wonder why I have yet to see video featuring their bedroom dressers?
I haven’t seen a new dresser from them in a while 🙂
bonjout, pourquoi vous n'avez pas présenté les cuisines ??
Very prettyoak
You didnt do the kids section or the linens/ pillow covers☹️☹️
Enjoyed your video😊. P.S. don't spend your money on Magic Erasers, a little toothpaste on a wwt warm wash cloth works better😊
i see 5 things i need 👀
Hold your camera still and get a mono-pod for stability! Good content and very informative, but the camera work is making me seasick
Iron on edging would solve that scuffing problems
I love IKEA but I got to pay someone to put them together so bumps the price up
Next time to show some day beds moving to tiny house
Dutch is spoken and most of Holland, and many people here speak multiple languages Swedish is spoken in Sweden. Some/many Swedes also speak multiple languages.
Thank you!!!
Their couches and chairs are too low. I have bad knees and couldn’t get low anymore 😂
3:16
What you’re calling “white stained oak” we used to call “blonde” back in the day. How does IKEA describe it? It’s very Scandinavian.
Every time I watch an Ikea video I get so sad. The closest one to me is 3 hours away!
Called import fees.

Can you say “I’m obsessed” any more? 🥴
Yes Kate’s mind is blown.
Why would the names be in Dutch in a Swedish owned store?
Never usually post anything negative, but really?😂
Wooo the singing of the last word in the sentences is 😵😖😖
so good right?!!?!?
😂😂Did she say “Who is she “? (IKEA).
you'll be stuck in there 😱
PLEASE STOP.SAYING LIKE!
Scp 3008
No, we don't speak dutch... 🤦🏻♀️😉
Of course we speak swedish.
But even people from Sweden think it's odd names.
It's namesvof citys.
I have the soderhamn and have had it for 5 years. Avoid it at all costs.
Ok I can’t! Built in’s are actually BUILT IN! It might be a built in look but not the OG
Relax lol
Your camera shake too much
tip: Blend your blush, and your face. Less is more

It’s not that deep lol

I wish we had one close to us 🥲🥲🥲
