I am an 80 year old Great Gramma, and I really enjoy all your videos. I’m getting motivated to declutter many of my storage areas. Keep up the good work.
Im in my mid 70s and retired 2 years ago. Trying to declutter a little at a time and regret i waited so long. Much harder when have limited mobility and not in the best health. Will watch your videos for motivation. Do it while you are young!!!
Thank you so much for putting this compilation together. It helped me to be motivated to finally tackle the monster of a mess that is our basement. Please don't feel like you have to justify your decisions to people on the internet. People should just be happy for you finding ways to bring more peace to your life.
Love the parents house content! As an empty nester, it’s so helpful to see the lifetime of stuff and a NON perfect house being decluttered! Not all of us live in a Pinterest house… so nice to see a real lived in space
Thank you for posting all this decluttering. Your voice is very soothing. You are very motivational. While watching, I finished decorating my tree, cleaned out my freezer and fridge and organized/sorted the remainder of my Christmas décor. None of these projects were on my to do list so THANK YOU so much!!!
I just discovered your channel today. I am enjoying your decluttering video! I downsized this year moving from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apartment. I too, spent most of 2024 decluttering/donating/selling/tossing. It was quite the process, but it feels so good to be "lighter".
I appreciate how you keep it real. My car always looked like yours. The one thing I'm good about is I clean out my fridge every week before trash pick up and I wipe up spills. I wish I applied this to the rest of my life but I don't. However every Tuesday I have an accomplishment and that makes me happy.
I love declutter videos. I don’t know why that person said they don’t care about that, just not their cup of tea I guess. I appreciate you going through stuff and giving your reasons why you’re not keeping things. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the Motivation! It was EXACTLY what I was looking for, I really needed this!! What I didn’t need was to get into all the declutterring and me ending up getting too cozy on the sofa watching you get all this stuff done, and me ZERO!!!🤣🤣🤣 no worries tho, the motivation is still there!, again, THANK YOU!!!
I like watching your declutter videos bc they are so relatable. The Easter eggs in the target bag in the bin- this is universal mom storage stuff. The Christmas decor that I bought bc I was “influenced” - for me it was the gingerbread themed kitchen decor that doesn’t even fit in my small kitchen 🤦🏼♀️ These are things we all experience and it’s inspirational to see the progress you’ve made.
Yes yes yes depression glass is very colectable and worth money. The internet should be full of it I collect it myself. It was used as everyday dishes in the 40 s and comes in many colors. Keep keep for sure or sell at an antique place 15:36
Loved the compilation, very satisfying to see all the different areas getting cleaned. Also have to add, you can actually add those juice sippers in the dishwasher! Just peel the wrapper off of the bottle and put them on the top rack
I watched the long one...I cleaned along ,did laundry, got ideas from you to think about Very motivational ! Now my dear , it seems your husband agrees with you but doesn't follow through. But you are different people and work in different ways when you realize this... don't be upset with him ( ♥️ ) realize you are free individual and can change and grow yourself ! It's very stressful if you feel responsible for what he does or doesn't do...,I believe through Jesus that we never stop learning or growing...PS. I'm almost 80 am enjoying my life more as I've aged. Take care LOVE your video..thank you !!❤👍👍👍👍👍🤠 BB from somewhere in Louisiana USA
You did so well decluttering. It’s so hard for me not to go through all my husband’s stuff. I use the dawn power wash on my car mats also never had any issues. I’ve kept mail clutter down by opening everyday by the recycle container
depression glass is so cool! it was mostly made in the ohio river valley. You should be able to look at the specific patterns and can narrow down which companies made them.
That bright green plate looks like it could be uranium glass, that’s a collector’s item for sure. To tell exactly you’d need to shine a black light on it 😊
You are very nice lady, don't listen to those mean people ignore those people they have issues . I really enjoy your videos, really enjoyable..have a nice day Lerene cook❤
YES! the glass is VERY old, I don't remember the names, but you can look it up on line and also find out current prices. Also the condition of the pieces WILL effect the pricing. If you have the app on your phone you can scan the item and look it up that way. I would use a plain background light in color to get a better picture. That will make it easier to find the piece. Depression glass is from the depression era if I remember correctly. I also want to add, If there is anything that your mom has had from her youth you need to scan them too. You would be surprised what is considered a collectable.
Wow great job on basement. Just a note my sons car looked a lot like yours and when I helped him clean it we found evidence of mice having been in there- he was very grossed out and has been keeping a much tidier car since then😊
43:37 Why do so many of us women criticise ourselves and others for not being perfect. I have really taken to heart the expression of seasons in life. Sometimes we are really on top of things and sometimes we are not. If you were ill, pregnant and taking care of yourself, and your family, who cares about clutter in your basement. Then the season was to do that, now is the season to declutter this area. Don’t be too hard on yourself. You did the best prioritising for you - both now and then. Take care!
YESSSS!!! Love it a huge trashdumpster whooohoooooo!!! As a minimalist i love seeing these kinda videos where stuff is actually beeing thrown out not just put into these organizing bins and boxes ughh hate that!!! You go girl
2:00:33 Yes! Please keep posting, people who matter care 😂. I don’t even have kids yet and this is super motivational for when we do decide to start trying. Your videos are perfect!
I have three sons (all grown and married). I still have several articles of their baby clothing along with many other items, including toys, that are precious to me. Please don't be afraid to keep things that are meaningful to you. And even though you and I are in different places in our lives, I like seeing your process. It's quite inspiring😊
been using your videos for body doubling these last few days. thanks for your time and effort put into your content creation and wishing you success on your own personal journey! for your peace of mind....the person who said they don't care about your narration and kids clothes talk etc. who cares what they say!?!? it seems obvious that they are trolling you for a reaction. if they can't just skip or click to a different video it's on them not you! keeping your home up to snuff no matter what season of life you are in is always the goal for most of the people here watching.
I know as a musician myself if his guitar is on a guitar stand in the living room as part of your living space your hubby will play it. He will probably never play it if not in view. It really works!
These videos are so motivating I'm going to clean the upstairs quickly today and move to the basement... Out storage area is stupidly arranged so its time to go thru it.
First time seeing your videos and you are doing amazing Mama! Thank you for making these videos. This has helped on my declutter journey these last few weeks (one space/drawer at a time) and I have cleared/cleaned sooo much! It feels great!!! Sending love!
1:11:28 can I just say what a lovely and respectful wife you are for not going thru his things? I have thrown old cassette tapes and VHS and regret it immensely. I wish I kept them. My heart feels so much secondhand happiness in your love for letting them have their time and space to deal with their things. ❤❤
Hi Catherine, before anything else I think you've done an amazing job of decluttering your home, and I'm so pleased it's left you with a good feeling. Now I live in England and we don't generally have pantry's full stop. I mean I've moved quite a few times throughout the years, and I've never had a pantry. So I think your ever so lucky to have one. But after Christmas I've got to do a wardrobe declutter, and gonna have to be brutal cause I just don't have the space anymore, I normally enjoy doing my cupboards out etc. but sorting out clothes is a big no no for me. But I'm adamant it's getting done. But well done you, terrific job...🥰🇬🇧🐾🐾🏡🎄❄️🎀💕👍
So right about visual clutter.. I bag it and it has to go or it is DEPRESSING...and I 2:22:54 I might " take it back "...🥵. So as I see how things effect me I change! And its so a sp ecial moment for me! Also I cook more whole foods ( no processed foods ) as I said Im old but by the grace of God i take NO meds...and im a trim weight...no limit on how good we can be...take care, keep up your great videos ♥️👍👍👍👍👍👍🤠BB from somewhere in Louisiana USA ♥️
Been doing the same as you it’s our intention to move next year so I’ve essentially got rid of everything in our loft except Christmas and memory boxes . The garden shed has been thinned to just minimal things . As we’ve decorated each room for the move more decluttering has happened .
I like these videos they are very motivating and I like hearing your thought process too. I live in Australia and have a walk in pantry so it's a reasonable size but we don't stock a lot of excess food. Watching a lot of YT channels imo a lot of British homes have smaller kitchens and smallish pantries. I think not throwing out empty packaging is often a male thing. 😂
Hello I've never done one of these so but the sea glass that you have if you haven't already got an idea for me my sister-in-law is a collector of sea glass also and she has made some beautiful trees like Christmas trees with them and also some beautiful ornaments for a kind of like a beech tree they make really cool ornaments I don't really know how she made all of them but they were really fun, and thank you for the inspiration to declutter
That's strange that someone posted a message saying they don't care about what you are showing and saying because i am so happy i came across your videos. I was just thinking that I like yours the best. Your remarks are interesting and helpful. Thanks for making these for us. 😀
Take the sea glass glue together and frame. The smaller plates put in something you can hang across the shelf. I don't know what the hanger is called. Love the video
Your mom sea glass can be posted on line for sale. Many of us jewelry makers & DIYers would love to buy it for future creations. Please provide a link.
This is my first time watching your channel thanks for sharing like the long video loved to see all the areas that you did very motivating makes me what to start declutting at my hose thanks agin keep them coming please
Thankyou for your videos. Its so motivating. I just dropped off donations to the thrift store. Declutering is so overwhelming so i can relate. Im tired of clutter and having to get rid of it all. Although people mean well it doesnt help when you get gifts that are of no use and end up being donated. Im also really careful now what i bring in to the home.
Ok so I’m not the only one who finds empty containers from everyone else in my house. I knew I wasn’t crazy! 😂 we also are a big cheese family, I keep a cheese basket in the fridge.
I suggest having two three bidders and use plastic sleeves and put manuals in, so fast to find manual when to need one also great when selling home and need give them to new owner. I even give them the code for garage doors so they can be changed.
In lieu of goodie bags I’ve done one bigger (but not expensive) item that fits with the theme. I’ve also seen someone do a huge bottle of bubbles from the Dollar Store. Way more practical!

Do you know the elastic on the clothes you save….. WILL rot. Unless kept with a treatment( like a wedding dress) also buttons will come OFF taking fabric with them. Stop saving cloth……. It really does happen
@@susancraft7749 That must take decades. My daughter just turned 19. I gave away bins of her old clothes from 10 years ago. After inspecting them, all perfect condition/good brands….so worth donating to a mom in need.

You can put peel and stick floor tiles under the sink . It makes it clean and fresh and doesn’t shift ,is water resistant and is easy to clean.

I really enjoy watching you declutter your parents house. Keep it coming!
very motivating, hats off to your focus and consistency. also ur video is good for people with insomnia your soothing voice can put anyone to sleep.

You’ve done a great job declutterring. Thank you for new ideas.
I needed this motivation! Time to declutter again!

Usually i do not watch very long videos but this one i enjoyed it. You do a great job and you are so sweet. Greetings from Athens, Greece. Your fan. 🙂

Love this video! I can put it on my TV in the background while i work on my home.
That cake stand with the Cardinal is beautiful! I would LOVE to find one of those!

The seaglass would make such a pretty bit of drought friendly landscaping. Use instead of mulch or in place of regular stones
Take the sea glass glue together and frame. The smaller plates put in something you can hang across the shelf. I don't know what the hanger is called. Love the video

Your mom should make sea glass wind chimes or sea glass mosaic with her sea glass collection!
I checked it has value, especially the color glass, the green is worth money
We are going through this also. It's amazing how much crap we accumulate throughout the years. Especially since I'm a sentimental saver.🤭
You did an awesome job ❤
You are evolving .Great job
Love your Compilation Video. Keep it up. You inspirer me.
It would be so cool to take the sea glass and use it to cover a table then use resin to fill in the spaces.
Or even use it to cover the shelves.
Ok so I’m not the only one who finds empty containers from everyone else in my house. I knew I wasn’t crazy! 😂 we also are a big cheese family, I keep a cheese basket in the fridge.
Depression Glass is valuable. It was from the 30's and 40's. Some of it came in soap boxes, etc. I would sell it!
The depression glass may glow under a black light, it’s very collectible.
Others will benefit from your work. ( mums declutter). Well done. 😊😊
I suggest having two three bidders and use plastic sleeves and put manuals in, so fast to find manual when to need one also great when selling home and need give them to new owner. I even give them the code for garage doors so they can be changed.
Awesome ❤ Love your videos😊
Depression glass is very sought after and can bring decent money it often found in green and a color classed as rose and some in purple
In lieu of goodie bags I’ve done one bigger (but not expensive) item that fits with the theme. I’ve also seen someone do a huge bottle of bubbles from the Dollar Store. Way more practical!
If you bought a couple peg boards you can put one on her wall in the kitchen and put her measurement cups on hooks
We put seaglass and shells in our garden/pot plants indoors
Sorry you get negative comments. I too would be upset. I am an avid subscriber from England. I love all your videos. Best wishes.
Depression glass can be valuable take it to an appraiser.. That way you will know for sure
Seems those McMansions are just giant storage units….. who knew!!
Depression glass can be valuable
Yes depression glass is very collectible ❤
Have 8 cats… and 4 big dogs…. Makes for a messy house often… would not trade them! Indoor outdoor cats. So only 1 litter box and they don’t use much. But… the litter catcher mats work pretty good. Not sure what exactly it’s called. But they are amazing and work well. Catch a lot of the litter mess
I live in a trailer so extra space is gold
The depression-era glass isn't insanely expensive or anything, $5-25 per item I have seen typically for that color and style (and depending on condition, of course). But if she has quite a few pieces, it could add up or be worth selling as the set.
Depression glass in perfect condition is valuable, especially the yellow and pink.
I would only throw broken stuff into the dumbster. Still usable items I would bring to a shareshed or try to sell it.
Amazing !
Love your videos. You have given me so much inspiration. My house is like your parents house😅
What brand is your Stick vacuum??
Depression glass was manufactured during the great depression. During the great depression, it was made in mass production and affordable to buy. Certain pieces are rare to hard to find. There are collectors out there. I'm not sure what the price range is.

Cholesterol you mentioned and then eating a lot of cheese
Maybe something. Anyway I best do some work now 😉

My daughter just turned 19.
I gave away bins of her old clothes from 10 years ago.
After inspecting them, all perfect condition/good brands….so worth donating to a mom in need.
