I had a 78..put dual exhaust, bumped the timing, and opened up the air flow...thing was fast, comfy, and got 19 mpg highway. Weak point is that darn vent window...mine stuck and exploded it the door...nice car!

I OWNED THE 1980 MODEL TOWN COUPE. IT WAS FULLY OPTIONED. IT WAS GORGEOUS. IT HAD THE 351 WINDSOR, WITH THE VARIABLE VENTURIE COMPUTER CONTROLLED CARBURETOR. POWER WAS FANTASTIC 0 TO 40 WAS ALMOST INSTANT. I BEAT IROC Z'S TO 50 MPH EVERY TIME !. FUEL ECONOMY WAS 17 IN TOWN AND 23 ON THE HIGHWAY.
