That would most likely be Italy, Greece, Spain. But then I imagine you don't want them there either when you book your summer holiday. If you ever opened a map you would know France isn't the first safe country they reached. So the french could very much say the same. UK gets a very small fraction of what, for example, Italy gets. It's not ideal for the UK and it puts a burden on the economy but sadly it's a much wider issue to what you see on the British news.

Quite simple. Bring in a point bases system like Australia. We will consider giving you entry to our country if you have a skill we need to fill job vacancies. Make it clear that you won't get a hotel, car, benefits, while your claim is being processed. You won't get free healthcare. If you do get granted to enter and live in the UK, you will have to live and work paying taxes for five years before you get access to any form of benefits, healthcare, social housing etc. If illegals won't be give anything free, their is no reason to come here.

You can't apply that to asylum seekers. You lot seem to have missed the point that only a few thousand people, asylum seekers coming in small boats, but there has been hundreds of thousands of immigrants coming to the UK every year since 2010 from EU countries and countries outside of the EU on visas issued by the previous tory government, millions of immigrants have come since 2010 legally.

British have for decades supported those who are at risk in their own country as long as proper documentation supports those individuals and I don't want this to change. However, illegal immigration is just that, it's illegal and those reaching our boarders under UK law are criminals and should be treated as such. As a Estonian , its nice to see British saying we have low crime rate. We were top 5 in the world murders per capita when I grew up. 91-96 shooting was so common back then , we got used with that as children. Its totally different now. Rarely see anyone get punched in face .
