Yet, when Takumi stopped in the middle of Akagi with blown engine and wrecked heart, NOBODY rushed to help him. Viewers, Takahashi brothers, Emperor team - all of them left poor guy along. If not for his father, he would've sit in his dead 86 till the dawn. Considering that Bunta found out about the race when it already started, had to spend some time to get a tow truck during late evening, and finally get to Akagi - I can imagine it could easily take him couple hours.
what a race! in best motoring it has been tested duct tape death match and it's doable by drift king also from the same show it has been proven that the AE86 was anyway a better car than the EG6
I dont know why, but for some reason I feel like all the races in first stage are so much better then any other stage, despite the animation quality being much worse.
I think it's because the characters get built up a little better in the first season. The individual challenge racers have more personality build up. Not to mention, Takumi is still surprising us. By the time he beats Ryosuke hes barely an underdog against the Evo squad
I never noticed this till someone said it in a video but the effects in the earlier seasons are much more crazier and cool. Also eurobeat in earlier seasons is used better imo. Later seasons has Ryosuke talking for to long in the races that takes away from the race
@@S4toruGojo yeah, i think i saw the same video. Stage 4 and 5 especially tend to have more boring races cause the camera just follows the cars around instead of having cool effects like you mentioned, making the illusion of speed a lot worse.
In the manga they made sure to tell us that Takumi slid his seat back on the first turn, and that if takumi had buckets seat for this race he wouldve been fucked
He took out and hospitalized an innocent driver, tried to take out his competition and when that failed tried to do a kamakazi. All to take over a street racing team. He was a total scumbag. He did grow after this though.
