Wish I got to talk to him more when I met him but he really gets deep into it and you can tell he’s from a bad past but he’s a good guy he’s really improved from where he comes from
Man coming with some real talk in this. Self reflection is the number one key to any form of growth. Will lead to self understanding, awareness like he says, perspective and if you keep things real with yourself that is a strong and grounded place to build from. You will know yourself, you will understand where things go right/wrong, you know what needs work, and mentally you will develop. In this modern day feel like majority of people dont do this, easier to shift blame as mentioned, then you have constant distractions of social medias, drugs, and other forms of dopamine binges in the form of escapism with so many things, that most people do not truly self reflect/face reality and then they become stunted individuals who never progress. Mental downtime to process and understand things is necessary. It is a shame something like going pen etc is the wake up call needed for many. Same with business, you need to analyse, examine, reflect, assess, strategize and take action to make things work. By the same vein you need to do this with yourself for personal development too. Lots of charged up and delusional individuals just lacking common sense these days. A lot of people dont even realise theyve been conditioned since a child to act in certain manners upon other things, and it's necessary thing to rid yourself from the conditioning of the system and have a realistic view of life. Music industry is a good example of this, things get glamourized but the reality is very different, and often a negative/destructive culture (especially in the US) is what is pushed in the culture by labels/media, then a bag of people are not in tune with reality and nonsense gets pushed. In old school hip hop, people would talk about progression, escaping the struggle, politics, real life day to day living, unity vs larger powers etc. Not promote things to get you on a fast track to prison, that came later and was popularized/highly monetized whilst creating further destruction.
