To those just starting this game, I glitched out to the max level possible, millions of dollars, thousands of the loot items and believe me the game gets so so boring. A huge part of dying light is the survival experience hunting and looting items. When you have everything by the thousand it just turns into bashing zombies over and over again it's not really that great. My advice - complete the game on hard mode as the developers intended. It's great!! Such a great game and challenge. Then yea after completion have fun duplicating items and mounting up zombie kills. Glitch the game tho and be prepared for complete boredom
I've duplicated, glitched and exploited my way through many games such as Borderlands, Dead Island, COD, GTA and many others too much to list, trust me haha, it doesn't get boring.

Ok, discovered some interesting things to do with this glitch. After you finish the main quest Siblings you'll actually have a Bolter spawn right beside this safe house. You can kill it with a strong rifle I used the police rifle, it'll give you 2k power every time you kill it and 3.7k survivor exp. Just jump on the fence, shoot it and reset back to night to get it to respawn. Do this until you're satisfied and you don't have to wait 7mins to get a lot of survivor exp.

Might be patched for some ppl but if you go to the pipe near the tower, simply sliding (run and crouch when you unlock it) gives you xp. So just run and slide during the night and you get 40 xp per slider. You can slide about 10 times in 14 seconds or so if you are fast. You can also use the pipes in the sewer area in Old Town
yeah that still works for most players.

The best way to get survivor points is to do the Stuffed Turtle Quarintine mission. Its really easy and it gives you 5 disaster relief packages each time you play it. So, maybe if you play it 5 times you'll have 25 packages. After this, exit the game and put it on nightmare mode. In nightmare mode you can get more xp from disaster relief packages. Hope this helped because this is not a glitch or anything, it won't be patched at all.
When do you receive mission
when I got the game that mission was part of the pre order, I am not sure if everyone will have it now.

Some people in game call them night hunters, its more of a nickname but he's not wrong.

The night hunter is the zombie in the multiplayer mode. And it is WAAAAAAYYYYYY more fucked up than a volatile.
I would much rather tango with a volatile than a night hunter.

This glitch still works but the duck part is patched. So you have to go to the building across the street of the safehouse with the caged in balcony. Doing the same as in the video but it only works on lower level chases with one volitle because too many volitiles and theyll get you from the sides and the back. The key is to get a volitile to stand somewhere around the building and spit its venom at you. If you stand near an edge but not too close the venom will hit the edge and not you. But too far back it will go underneath the edge and still hit you and too far forward it goes above and hits you so you have to get it to hit the 2 or 3 small bars that make up the edge of the cage.

a quik way to is jump on fence throw firecrackers get lvl 3 alert jump in yard and rinse repeat will speed this up realy fast this will work in a few places as long as your weopon is out you get points
There's a new way to do essentially this same glitch, but it's even easier and works even better. I don't know if anyone has covered it, I just discovered it myself but if you're still playing Dying Light feel free to make a video about it.
All you need to do it is access to Old Town, a grappling hook, and a gun or a bow that _won't_ one-shot Volatiles.
First, go to the Three Moons Restaurant quarantine zone. Don't go inside, just go to the door. Almost directly due west, and just ever so slightly southwest, there's a tall tower with a big, green dome at the top, with a weathervane at the peak.
Climb up this tower and use your grappling hook to get on top of the green dome so you can walk around the weathervane at the top. Next use your gun or bow to alert a Volatile on the ground and begin a chase. This part's challenging and RNG-dependant, so you may want to just start a chase and then climb up onto the dome.
The volatiles can't get to you at the top of this dome. Turn on your flashlight and walk carefully around weathervane so the Volatiles can see you but can't hit you with their spit (they can't hit a moving target from so far away.)
The volatiles will climb to the roof below you, but they won't be able to get up to you or spit on you from there, they can only hit you with the spit attack from the ground, but only if you hold still (hence walking in circles around the weathervane.)
You're basically completely safe as long as you're walking in circles on top of the dome itself.
You can even stop to shoot some of the Volatiles for extra XP if you're careful, but some of them will die no matter what you do be because they're dumb and will fall off the roof lmao.

Very interesting thanks for sharing this information I think many players will like it. Sadly it doesn't seem to be completely AFK, but still a good method for leveling.
Playing the DL before going for DL2, tried something like that at the tower. Volatile just ignored lights and jumped me while I was passing the door. lol :D
I found a spot near a safehouse, you run on wall just outside so you can easily run back to safety, and start shooting volatile. Sometime, they don't find a way to reach me and I just end up killing them. I'll try remember to update this post with more details next time I play.

There's a safe house in old town where you can just stand on part of a sign and the night hunters can't reach you, they just fall off the edge when they try.
That is another good spot to earn some easy XP. Thanks for sharing it.
Very very well explained. This is my very first time playing dying light and even having my own ps4. Most ppl will explain stuff and ill only get stuck trying n failing since i wasnt able to understand what i needed to have completed before i even attempted the secret/glitch. My apologies for the late reply, I haven't been in a great spot & am trying to catch up on everything I missed.
I heard about this from other players but never tried it myself. My problem is, I'm getting tired of getting my ass whoop in every mission trying to complete. I've played this for sometime now and still have not open up the ledgen weapons, in fact I am still running around doing random favors using crappy weapons. so this video is very helpful and I'm glad you post it, my boredom is always getting killed so easily.

Just tried it and it definitely works but sometimes it's hard to get the glitch to trigger just right and keep going for the duration of the night. Also beware that after it's been going on for a while, other minions will charge the fence and you start to take damage.
Darkschool6 i did it all night and only took damage 1 time but you do need the have some medkits
There's another place you can do this. In the slums there's a small electrical sub station at the bottom of the map, and you can hide behind the barbed wire fences (with grappling hook to access) and pop in and out of hiding to keep them interested, and no one can get to you.

Here's a fun fact though: If you go under the infamy bridge I think it's called (the main bridge leading out of the city), and go to the first pair of pillars holding the bridge, on the east side where the little boat is docked there is a concrete ledge you can stand on while still being in the water if you jump while swimming or hop down from above. On that side by the boat you can sprint and slide and receive agility exp (I'm getting 20 per slide during the day). No zombies, infinite, jus more active.

Anyways, now that I have your attention for a moment, I just started survival mode and it is crazy-nasty hard. I need some upgrades, specifically King if you have it. Thanks, worked for me first time. Must point out that I'm playing on original patch, I've no idea how long to keep this glitch going but at least my controller is recharging while glitching. Anyway cheers mate for taking the time to show us newbies how to level up bit quicker.

For anyone still interested in boosting exp for agility. You can do this much easier as long as you don't fully secure the safehouses by turning on the lights.
Shut the gate or block the doorway/window, eliminate the infected inside, and then do the pursuit as shown and hide just out of range (roofs are easiest). They don't seem to chase you inside the area because it's blocked off, but it's still an active combat area so they won't leave.
Worked perfectly for my NG+, especially during the 'Airdrop' mission with the endless night so I could leave it going for hours. Using the petrol station safehouse North of the Infamy bridge was easiest, I blocked the door and killed the 2 weak infected, then jumped onto the roof and watched the spitting.

The safe house by the electric plant is good for teasing zombies.

This is not a glitch, it's an exploit. there's a big difference. Also, I recommend new players don't do this. the game is supposed to be challenging. Play it as the dev intended. It's way more fun.
"Challenging" And I guess that's why they have a one hit Korek machete that does about 300-500 damage just laying on the roof of some apartments.
I forgot how to spell the machete's name so Korek will have to do for now.
If high level machetes are found, then you've obviously earned enough survivor XP and levels gained to be able to "find" these items. You didn't just start the game and suddenly start finding them. So yeah, there's plenty of challenge here. You don't expect your character to stay weak forever ...lol

It is quite easy to max all levels by just playing the game. Not even duplicating weapons is needed. This game`s difficulty is quite easy. If you play doing sidequests as soon as they show up, kill zombies regularly and run jumping stuff, you'll max your levels in about 60~70% of the game.
Yet, if you want to use glitches, just do it. You bought the game and you play it the way you want.
But there are other easier and faster ways to earn agility xp without use of any glitch. But again, the game is yours you play it the way you want.
And finally, it is a good and well explained video.

If you have a physical copy delete just the game go offline re-download start a new game get air drops dupe them and anything else you want even weapons just stay offline till u have what u want
I found a new place and it's super easy and safe...you can do this in the slums on a apartment building close to one of your safe houses..use the balcony as a way to block the toxic spit..then wait till morning and then collect the points..

it still work until today but seems like you don't get the survivor point when you get noticed by the zombies. i tried this 3 times. The effective ways is outside the tower where you can climb and drop. I done this overnight (game time) and gained 2 level agility and almost 2 level of survivor ranks (if im not mistaken) . Just wanna share

I know this is very late but I found a new way of leveling up power and agility faster in co op mode. Go to Old Town in the north west corner of the map is a safe house. You can stand just outside the safe house at night. You and one other player can use your UV lights to back the zombies off the edge of the roof, they will land on the street below killing them. In a single night you can make upwards of 2k points plus you get a ton of loot in the morning.

This is also the place to farm bolster (spelling) tissue once you get to the stage where you are asked to find some for the doctor.
If you are level one and don't have a decent weapon, you can still farm for XP, survival points and agility points, by KILLING VIOLATILEs!!! This is not a glitch. It is legit. See, volatiles die within a second if they get into the water. Get the drift. Find the abandoned wooden house at the south-east corner of the map. Since volatiles only comes out at night, you have to do this at night. Get to the safe house nearest to this spot and wait, or sleep till night time. It is a shame that the Dev. has cut down the length of night time so much. Otherwise, you can max out pretty quickly (still need a few hours in real-time). There is a broken walkway leading to this house. Stand and face the wooden walkway (where most volatiles will approach you). Drink a resistance potion. They have to jump towards you to attack you. Just kick them. Do arm yourself with lots of resistance, health, night seeing potions. Some volatiles does attack you from your right and behind you (much rarer). DO keep an eye on your mini-map. If you are hurt badly, just jump into the water and stay there until the coast is clear then get back up. Oh, I nearly forget, have a lot of fire-crackers. These are used for attracting the volatiles' attention.
This method is the most fun to farm XP. It can really get your heartbeat up. Exciting and reward. Much better than other methods, especially at the beginning of the game.
Another good method to be sure.

go far a away soo the zombies cannot reach you (DO NOT SWIM DOWN) and use the uv light AND PEW PEW at the zombies face they will slowly die and you can get free combat points

If playing for the 1st time, just play, once completed, play again and do the glitches / farming.
Jeez, just play through the game and level up as intended (would be even faster). There is no fun in such exploits.

Hey. Bottom left of slums map is a drain tunnel that's kind of long. If yo slide in it t counts as sliding under something so u can slide over n over back n forth for 40 xp a pop at night. I'm too lazy to make a video so say onionpimp sent u there. Enjoy

+FNHUSA57 Which version of the game are you using? And is there a specific spot you have to be standing in for it not to work? I edged out as far as I could on the fence but I was still taking damage from the nightmare's spit. I still got a relatively easy 4k survival exp but still...

The technique I used is I find two platforms in old town , slept till night , and jumped across over and over again.

there is one negative I can think off..It is knowing that xp etc was gained by using a glitch or other exploit...it would make me feel like a cheap fake .. lol

Wow! Thanks! Yeah I just accidentally deleted my maxed out legend level 10 save and I'm trying to get back up there so thanks. The only glitch, well more of a bug, is that if you throw your melee weapon during the Tahir boss fight, it will dissapear, forcing you to either take one of the other guys weapons or fist fight him. It is possible to fist fight him, it just takes longer to kill him.

Oh someone uploaded something like this but it's in old town and its more easy to do, you need to have old town unlock (duh) and finish Legless Spider well you just need to unlock the safe zone from it, go to night time go get volatile on you then go to this vent that right outside the safe zone, and just sit down like in this vid so you don't get hit. But you get like 3K EXP if you jump back into the safe zone before it hits morning, idk if you meant to jump after you have like 4 level pursued on you, but I don't really find this way that fast unless I'm doing it wrong x.x I just do this jump in circle, 3 jumps = 120 exp (40 per jump) and before it reach moring I get at least 1 level up, doing this from level 19.
The safehouse with the bus. That one is better. You can stay in pursuit all night

Can't get over the fact that it doesn't have a difficulty setting
Reason is I feel the zombies have the upper hand most of the time
I'm currently stuck at the antenna mission & I keep dying due to simply being overwhelmed by zombies

That's my favorite safe house to be at night, not so much because you can tease the Volatiles to run after you - for me, I only get 4-6 Agility points each time I evade pursuit - but because there are these greenish flimsy zombies who feed at night and which have some expensive and rare... livers or kidneys... that you need for some crafting stuff, or you can sell them - I think they pay 200$ a piece.
Woah, I have never seen Volatiles spit before. It looks absolutely hilarious having three Volatiles standing there and spit over and over. lol
This i s a great idea, but it doesn't work like that anymore. If you don't move the cursor in two minutes the game will default to offline and you'll have to hit 'Resume' in order to make it continue, though you'll not be at the same spot that you were at when you "left" the game (I guess that's a little safeguarding against attempts to use glitches this way). - I'm going to check it out, it may still work as long as you stay by the PC and make sure to move a little every minute or so.

best place i found was at the power plant at bottem of zone stand on the wooden platform and the reg mobs will continuosly climb the fence beside it but cant get on the platform can max your persuit and hop off then right back up without having to worry about moving to much and falling off. this is the only video i have looked at so not sure if anyone has a video of the spot.
I'm at the right spot, on the same door, but they keep getting chased off by the uv light. I play on pc. Is it different for pc for some reason?

well thanks, As for PC I left that out do to custom key mapping (something we don't have on the Xbox) So you never really know what key/button set up players are using.

Just get in a tube on the ground. And use slide, keep pressing shift and just spam C. Do it at night time to get 2x exp

I found out if you go to the brig where all the medkit are if you go to the bottom of the bridge and run around shooting a zombie will appear and you can stay caught to farm hard but some times the bigger zombies will show up so you have to fill them will led lol

Hello, I probably encoutered a glitch in Dying Light. I was playing good until level 12/12/12, at some point of the game i dont remember exactly when ( maybe on a secondary mission, because i made just 5 primary missions instead of 12 secondary missions, don't know if this could be a problem) and I can mostly find only coffee and cigarettes on zombies, chests ecc.. I tried also to start a new game, and it works fine, but i don't want to lose my progressions and start a new game. Any suggestions? Because it's very annoying. sorry for my bad english, have a nice day.

I havent played for more than a week now but i love finding ways to boost myself fast. I know a way to get 120 agi/second and u can do it all night, thought all did this it already. Well ofc u can go to eastern parts of slums and do the travel the line back and forth. OR u can go get a good sliding spot (shift + space + w + c) and just spam it towards a deformed wall. During night this gives u 60 agi and u manage to get of 2 each second = 120 agi/second. Only boring part is the boringfactor. but W/E :)
+Sigge Nordenberg Since i just finished the game i recall 2 good places for this. One place is when u have to run outside from the house that u setup with bombs. As u go back the way u got there its a small tunnel thats now a dead end, get back inside and do this. Second good place is the Sewers at the end of the story (old town).
I can't seem to get the survivor xp. I get them to spit at me and get some agility and then before night is over go into the bed in the safe house and all it says is "wait until morning". No mention of a huge amount of survivor xp. Any tips?

Based on my experience, one you have everything and your extremeley overpowered, it's just not fun anymore, but my friend did the glitch (somehow in the patched version), thanks!

I have a better one remember that university in old town go and stand outside of the door of the university and there are 3 strong wires it connects to two places stand on the one which leads to the door do it at night then just throw one grenade to lure the volatiles. They wont be able to reach you

most of the glitchs are patched. This one will work if you do not have the following dlc or if you uninstall it and play offline

Sadly the dev team has patched this and many other glitches. So now this spot only works offline without the patch.

@monkeman4431 I am talking about playing the game without it being ever connected to the internet. In this way you never download the update that patched this.

I found a new version , if you go to the clinic just down the road in the video and stand in the window they spit at you then use the grappling hook just down to go down the road :)

Sadly this was patched at this spot a number of updates back. I am currently posting videos for Dying Light 2 & hope you will enjoy them more. Remember DEVs like to patch glitches fast some time :(
