So funny the change in attitude for cruise ships at Grand Cayman! A couple of years before Covid there was a huge uproar about the Royal Caribbean/Carnival joint venture to build a cruise dock there at Grand Cayman and how the locals were wanting to vote against it. Covid hits which ended that dock idea. Then Grand Cayman was one of the last islands in the Caribbean to allow cruise ships to return. Now all of a sudden, they are wanting a cruise dock! I wonder why? Have a great Tuesday Doug!
Grand Cayman, the issue isn’t the casino for me. The issue is that as ships get larger and larger, less ships are able to go there due to it being a tender port. A pier being built is the only viable option.
Good reports Doug. Stay focused and on track with straight to the point with no added b.s wasting time and building up your own ego like some others do. Viewers don’t have a need to skip forward to get to the subject! Some just chat away at nothing just to build up Adsense. 👍cheers🍻
Wait so Grand Caymon is doing this? That's funny. Prior to COVID Grand Caymon was pushing to limit cruise ships, had a law in place and everything. Now that fewer are visiting the island it's like, ugh oh, got to reverse that.
Years ago Grand Cayman was one of the first ports that said they wanted to limit cruise ships. This was way before the big C. I remember a bad hurricane hit them and things changed.
Good morning Doug! Congrats to Baltimore! Tender port or no tender port, it’s still good to either walk around or go on an excursion. Thanks for the news and have a fantastic day.
I think the dock would be a bigger impact. Tendering to a port is a pain in the butt, and people are afraid to miss the ship. In addition, there is only one “beach club” that really isn’t a beach. I’ve never really found a lot of great things to do there.
For me, the hit that the beaches took and the slow cleanup and popular spots that are still closed and decaying after the hurricane a few years ago has led to it being less attractive than in years past.
🛳🛳🛳 Good morning have a question about MSC about expansions other than Alaska. Any information about MSC expanding to MICT Melaka Gateway in Malaysia. For now Resort World Cruises is there offering Genting Dream with 3 day and 4 day sailings
I was surprisingly disappointed with Grand Cayman. Kind of struck me as a smaller Nassau, without as good of facilities....worse shopping, worse downtown core, worse dolphin centres....I really wanted to like it, but i'd rather do a trip to the Bahamas over the Caymans
Morning Doug Congrats to port of Baltimore. Ty for the first responders for their everyday hard work.Ty for your daily updates.Have a wonderful Tuesday 😊

Hi Doug. RCL and Carnival sail from Baltimore year round. My home port. NCL did seasonal cruises recently, but I guess that's over for now.

Have a good day.
The caymans are losing business not having a dock. We have had our ship miss the tender twice in a row due to rough seas or winds.

There's not anything there in GC. 😪
I’ll be there in February there are no beach excursions being offered Why?
I was just at Grand Truck and the tables were closed but the slots were open and being played.
Thanks Doug!!
You’re welcome .
grand cayman also needs more stuff to do on the island besides shopping

You’re welcome !
Happy Tuesday Doug! Hope you have a great day😊❤😊😊❤😊
Cruise News & coffee.. my favorite mornings ❤❤❤
Ditto
Glad you enjoy Darlene.
I'm glad to see Carnival celebrating the Baltimore port. There's always a need to keep the ports open and bustling.
How is opening the casino going to help?? People will be in the casino instead of going ashore.
Not everyone goes ashore
How would allowing the casino to be open help tourism?? Won’t that actually hurt, as more people will stay on board or entire early ??
My question exactly!
Thanks for the interesting news again today. Happy Tuesday. 😊
You’re welcome.
What a joke then we have Alaska complaining they have too many cruise ships??
Ok
Baltimore… my home port. I’ve cruised the legend and pride many times 🎉🎉🎉🎉!
Didn't Grand Cayman complain about too many ships before?
Thank you Doug have an amazing day! ❤😊😊❤😊❤
Congratulations to carnival
