    My chassis is 2mm shorter on the motor side when measuring from the spindle kingpin to the rear axle bearing mount; is this a big deal? will that affect handling? Also it sags a bit in the "waist". If I put a straight edge from the back to the front it sags about 4.5mm in the area just in front of the seat. Is that something I can straighten myself or is it best to pay and get it on a chassis table?
    Thanks in advance! Keep up the great work!

      Depends if you going to a big race that your trying to win or just hooning around with friends. oh and your budget. if its not effecting your results then leave it or have a go at fixing it. otherwise save up for a bit and get a professional to look at it for you.

    I'm a retired GM mechanic and built a vintage style go kart fallowing the "kart specs" video from Racing psychosis, It handles pretty badass for a home built kart, Where can I order your front end adjustable parts, I could easily upgrade my steering to incorporate these sweet adjustable kingpin/knuckles.

    Hi POWER REPUBLIC. Love you videos. Question, My son has an Intrepid Maxi and we are having real troubles getting the steering correct. Is one of the wheels meant to lift off the ground when he turns a corner, for instance. Right wheel lifts up when turning left. Cheers in advance

      Hi Graham, yeah the inside rear is supposed to 'jack', that way the kart is in 3 wheel mode and corners like a boss! otherwise they sit flat and understeer normally

    Hey looove all of your videos helps me out so much. I have a question I have a rotax 125 restricted and just wondering what’s the difference between the smaller gear like 11,12,13. And its effect in the lager gear. Because I find that most people are running a 12 gear but I have an 11 and we seam to be using the same larger gear but our speeds are the same.

    • @PowerRepublic
      @PowerRepublic  5 років тому

      Hi Team Grima, I don't think that there is much in it. the KPH and RPM are the same with the both 10/70 or 11/77. at least with the 12T you have the roller bearing in the rotax clutch which is better than the 11T bush, IMO

    is a birel kart supposed to be lowest to the ground directly below the knees?

    • @PowerRepublic
      @PowerRepublic  5 років тому

      most karts will bend and twist through the centre waist of the chassis. that's why there is so much wear on the rails
