That is a great idea! The mark would have to be consistent. Maybe have a jig or a template to help with the mark? It could be something as simple as drilling a hole through one 🤔. I will have to give it a try! Thanks for the suggestion 👍
Looks like a great solution if you have the need. Size is amazing and the conveyor for large runs. I looked at the website and saw the price, a little out of my range as a hobbyist, but for someone selling like your daughter could make a lot of money. You might explain more about why the two different laser types.
It really is an amazing machine, and has a lot to offer. Yeah, with this price, this is more geared towards the prosumer and businesses. You are correct, I should have explained more about the two different types of lasers. There was just so much to unpack in this video, and what it can do I simply overlooked it. Might have to do a follow up video. Many thanks for watching and commenting!
have you tried to carve wood with the fibre laser. ? and if so. can the fibre engrave wood without the grain problems that a diode would have with the more dense grain from winter growth. that would leave ridges. or will it carve smooth.. ?
Ok, the fiber (1064nm) is good for metals and plastics. The diode (455nm) is good for wood, plywood, acrylic, paper, leather, glass (with interface layer), some ceramics. Yeah, I am always fighting wood grains. Unfortunately, each ring has its own characteristics. Some rings require more power, while other rings do not all depend how close and far apart they are.
@@TripodsGarage ta for the response.. yea that was what i was expecting.. i might have to invest into a cnc.. though this would make my stone carving a lot faster.. :)
@@TKs3DPrints- you can see the grain ridges on the bamboo cutting board. I have a CNC, just don’t like the dust and how loud they are. But they are a lot more consistent on wood 👍
@@TripodsGarage yea its the speeds of them that scares me that bit spinning that fast then getting damaged and flying off.. and yea the dust.. i was so tempted with a kickstarter that just finished.. had 4x cnc for carving statues etc.. was so tempted... the makera Carvera Air unit fully enclosed not a large area but i was not going to big :)
@@TKs3DPrintsI am not a fan of 2in1, 3in1, or 4in1 machines. Typically they only do 1 or possibly 2 things good. Now I have had really nice engravings on wood, unfortunately it has to be the right setting, and the right wood. For me, I will most likely not go back to my CNC for wood again. Unless it is for a deep boarder cut.
Best review I have watched so far! This is definitely my next laser! OMG! I almost died with the Apple comment 😂. That PMag looks absolutely amazing 🤩. Thanks for the time you spent putting this review together.
Many thanks 😂😂. There was a lot of of testing, as I had basically no settings to start with, just prior knowledge of working with other fiber and 455nm Galvo Lasers. The PMag came out great, love the color of the engraving. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hello, is the gold book marker gold plated stainless steel? What settings did you use to get the 3rd yellow toned material test on it? I'm trying to do it but it always comes up grey or dark
Great overview of what this thing can do. After watching I think this would be fun to try out. Wow, that price though. Probably not something to start out with?
The machine is really impressive in therms of tech and functionality. Think you really need to be committed as a hobbyist or business owner to own this machine.
Same here. Tried other settings last night and didn't get close to what the F1 can do. Come home and loaded in the settings he used and nothing. I'm going to waste a mag and run some test grids, but I would have thought it would have gotten at least a starting point. Have you figured out any settings that do work?
Not my file as mentioned in the video. Guess you never heard of a contraction? Let’s is a contraction of let us. But what do I know, I just picked the file to engrave 🤨

On the conveyor issue of flipping the image, you can prep your materials with a washable white ink dot in a specific corner as a registration mark.

Nice review John, especially since you call out the settings on each engraving!
Many thanks! I hope some of the items I engraved will help others with their F1 Ultra 👍. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Great Video John. Keep them coming. I reviewed there 10 watt a few years ago and they have never contacted me since.
Thanks Jerry! This video was a lot of work. I enjoy all your fiber laser content, keep up the good work 👍

The keychain thing had me cracking up! Great review.
Yeah, I am very confused! Which way is the correct way 😂. Thanks for watching!
@@TripodsGarageNeither? Since both sides say Ford. 😆

@@TripodsGarage so I can't even get a mark with your settings on a PMAG. Any suggestions?
Well done! There are many dual laser engraving machines on the market now. acmer p3 looks pretty good too, will you test it?
Many thanks for watching! I did receive a request to review the Acmer P3. However, I have limited time and space. As of right now I had to pass on it.

Would this be able to do engraving on aluminum? Like the lion
I WANT ONE!
Now, if I only had $4K to get one...🤣
Great review and demonstration, John!
It is an amazing machine! It was nice to see a company finally advance the fiber market! Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Great review bro, this certianly ticks boxes for me
Yes it does check a lot of boxes! Thanks for watching!
What DPI are you using cause it says it’s going to take 6 hours.
do you think I could engrave text into rocks? feldspar, quartzite and such, 0.2mm depth
Yeah, I believe it can engrave stone. Will have to give it a test. Unsure about quartz though
This laser plays background music. Like an 8 bit video game. Interesting.
Love this~Thanks!
Many thanks 😊
Is it compatible with Lightburn?
I was informed by xTool that they are working with LightBurn.
Well done review!
Many thanks! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Can I ask where you get your pet tag blanks?
Which ones? The colored ones?
@@TripodsGarage yes the blue ones :)
this thing is hefty but oh so powerful

Cool machine
Yes it is! One of the most advanced lasers I have tested. Thanks for watching and commenting!
next up; how to make a song with a laser,,,,
I was so close to making a musical melody out of it! Was just going to take to long. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Weird those settings are not working for me 10% won't even touch the PMAG

@@nelsonragan5286 well I did the 2000mm/s and 20% power at 50 freq and 300 lines per cm or 200 I don’t remember and got a good mark with that
Can this machine cut thin pieces of sterling silver for jewelry?
🎉❤😅😮😢🎉😂❤
21:10 You should fix that. Should be "Lets" not "Let's". "Let's" means "Let is".
